Soverato is a town in the province of Catanzaro in the Calabria
region of southern Italy

, from condo rentals, vacation rentals to apartment rentals and villa rentals. Nearby there is a string of villages along the white beaches of the gulf like Montepaone, Davoli and Isca Marina.
Soverato has a reputation of being the most popular resort on Calabria's Ionic coast.
A long sandy beach with clear clean waters, well maintained with ample facilities. This is not a place of mass tourism, and seems to attract mostly Italian tourists. This resort is also fantastic value for money
, vastly cheaper than the northern coastlines.

The town is perfect for taking walks, sitting at cafes and sampling the delicious fresh food and not to mention many local accommodation, vacation rental, condo rental, apartment rental and villa rental options.
The Giardino Botanico Santicelli botanic gardens were built on a former waste site in 1980. The town is bordered by Montepaone, Petrizzi and Satriano. Soverato can be reached via the Lamezia Terme Airport within a 35 to 40 minute drive.
The region around Soverato offers a perfect cross section of southern Italian life.
Medieval towns rub shoulders with long sandy beaches, whilst a vibrant cultural scene invites you enjoy concerts and art exhibitions. Or you could just sit back and see which of the truly excellent local wines goes best with your favourite Italian cuisine.
Indeed the history of Calabria, from Roman to Byzantine, or from Norman to Bourbon, can traced by the beautiful buildings and archaeological treasures they left behind. Some of these treasures have been converted and now offer visitors truly authentic Italian holiday accommodation
, vacation rental, apartment rental and villa rental options.
Just a short drive south along the coast from Soverato, and slightly inland, is the delightful small town of Santa Andrea
, or to give it is full name: Sant' Andrea Apostolo Dello Ionio.
It is well worth making the trip, if only to look back over the sea of ancient tiled roofs from your maximum height of around 1,000 metres to the glistening blue Ionian sea
below. A classic small Italian hill town, Santa Andrea may be old, and with a population of just over 2,200 it may be pretty small, but that doesn't mean it is short of excellent restaurants, good bars, and the opportunity of doing some exploring. A few minutes from the town centre brings you to Santa Andrea's beach area where you can cool off, or swim off an expansive lunch.
A trip to Santa Andrea make a perfect day out from Soverato
, and there are even a couple of small local accommodations, vacation rentals, apartment rentals and villa rentals if you want to make a night of it.
