Syros Accommodations

Our house has been in the family for 3 generations and we have recently completed an entire restoration of the home. The delightful Greek white and blue home is perched on the mountain over looking the port of Ermoupoli (capital city of the Islands) and in the distance the island of Mykonos. With the home being in a older community the touches of true Greek architecture have been maintained. The home is accessed by walking or biking though a narrow walkway amongst other homes or by a marble staircase off a road and parking lot. This one bedroom home features a ton of living space including vaulted ceilings in the living room, a brand new kitchen, a sleek bathroom, and tons of outdoor living space (private back courtyard and a front porch). It is ideal for one or two couples or a small family. A short stroll (15 min) down the marble stairs and paths you will find yourself in the center of the city. The plaza boasting the parliament building as well as a number of restaurants and cafes, It's the ideal location to sit, and relax as the Greeks do. Past the plaza you will find local shopping, the market, where you can find unique Greek items with many being made right in Greece. Syros is known as the "hub" for business of the Islands as it has the highest population of permanent residents. On the other side of the plaza you will find the heart of the island, the Port. This busy stretch of road includes shops, restaurants, vendors, and even fishing boats selling their catch of the day. The beach life in Syros is unparalleled. You can check out a different beach each day, from busy sandy beaches, to secluded bays, you will be able to find the beach that suites your taste. There are many local attractions on the island such as Ano Syros (medieval town), large arts scene, water sports, agriculture, and magnificent churches. This is truly a vacation rental for those who want the Real Greek Experience.

The villa was built in 1780. It is a traditional old stone-built house located in the country side of Ano Manna 5 km from Syros Town (Hermoupolis) and 5-10 minutes from the beaches. It was restored by the owner in the beginning of decade ' 90 with great care and attention. The restoration was made in order to keep the original style intact so as to maintain the special character of the building. The entrance, leads into the living room. On the ground floor you can also find the kitchen, the dining room, a bathroom with shower and WC and a bedroom with double bed. On the first floor is located 3 bedrooms, with a double bed in the first two and two single beds in the third, a living room and a large veranda were the view is ecstatic. Our house can easily accommodate 8 guests in a cozy atmosphere that drives from the combination of wood and stone. The 2.5 acres garden is full of trees, bougainvilleas, hibiscus and other flowers. The fence can assure a huge playground for the children and at the same time a private place for the parents or the elders who want to relax under the trees and the summer breeze. Our guests have many activities to engage in, such as bicycle riding, hiking, scuba diving, wind surfing, swimming as well as going on trips all over the island, walking in the narrow streets of Ano Syros, sightseeing, joining cultural festivals. It is ideal for families with children, pets and elderly people.

The “Archipelagos apartment - 50sq.M - sea view" is situated in Posidonia, in the most stately village of Syros, with its castles and modern villas. Posidonia is located at the south-west side of the island, 10km from Hermoupolis. It is one of the few green areas of the island. It is a ground floor apartment, fully furnished serviced, apartment, 50 square meters living space ( 1 bedroom – living room with an open plan kitchen, bathroom) and a large veranda faces the Aegean sea. The view at sunset is breathtaking. It sleeps up to 4 persons (3 adults plus 1 child). The apartment belongs in a 2-floor building (Apart-hotel, three stars), that has 4 apartments perfectly designed for a relaxed family holiday. The complex is built within a large estate with olive trees creating a beautiful natural environment which offers relaxation and a pleasant stay. Also located within the estate is roofed parking. We are a short walking distance to the beach. The nearest sandy beach is a mere 700m away, while the most beautiful beach of Syros, Agathopes, is 1300m far from the apartment. If you wish to cook at home our kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of cooking gear, refrigerator, oven, etc. The Apartment is very close to a bus stop (with services every 30 minutes in the summer), a super market, a bakery and tavernas. From your apartment you can easily visit Ermoupolis and the other villages and beaches of Syros, either by bus or by rental car. Enjoy your holidays in a familiar and hospitable environment.
