    A cozy new house build in traditional way on the top of a hill of Kea island (called also Tzia), surrounded by 10.000 m2 land, overlooking the sea from one side and the main village of Ioulis (Kea) from the other. In the area there are 4-5 other houses belonging to local families. The house is 100 m2 in total. The main house on the first level has an open kitchen with dining and sitting area, two bedrooms and a bathroom, surrounded by large terraces. There is also a place for breakfast and lunch under a big oak tree with a view to the sea. The third bedroom is situated on the ground level and has a private w.C and shower, AIR CONDITIONING accommodates two persons. There is also a third shower situated outdoor. The house is only 5 km away from the port and around 10 km from the main town Ioulis. There is also a path leading to Ioulis which is around half an hour walking distance. On the island there are several signed paths, some of them old (since ancient times). One of the most well known and beautiful is the path leading to the Karthea ancient city. The nearest beach is Yialiskari around 4.5 km away, but there are plenty beautiful beaches around the island. You'll find super markets, pharmacy, taverns and bars on the port, the main village and the other villages as well. There is public transportation from the port to the main town Ioulis, and taxis, but it's necessary to rent a car to go to the beaches and visit the island.You can rent a car (or a motor bike) either at the Athens International Airport or at the island . The Roukounas Hill, (Fotimari) as is the name of the location is a peaceful place where you can rest, surrounded by beautiful landscape, overlooking the sea, away from the busy port or the main town, where you can also combine night life in the nearby Vourkari and/or Ioulis or the port. The road from the town of Corfu is very well up to the village (metalled) and can be visited by bus (3 times a day) from Corfu Town ......... The bus stops about 600 meters from the house, and if necessary I can make the transfer from the bus to the house, with my car ... Also another way is by taxi and costs about 30 -40 euro .. If you like you can rent a car (which I believe that you need to go round the island of Corfu) lease of the rental car may vary on the island. The house consists of 2 bedrooms (approximately 24 square meters each). One bedroom has two single beds and the other bedroom has a double bed. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes. The house has a persuaded dining table (about 20 square meters). with a table for 6 people and 6 chairs, in a corner of the dining room, there is also a table for computer .... There is an open kitchen next to the dining room (about 9 square meters) and has fridge, freezer, oven, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, golden oak, kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, glasses, hood, cabinets and shelves to store things. There is also toilet with shower (5 square meters) The house also has a private balcony (28 square meters) Situated less than 10 meters away, we have a washing machine for convenience of customers . Walking to the village which is about 400m on a good road, and all through the olive groves in about 10 minutes to reach the first houses of the village and meet the people who remained always smiling and kind. The exterior design offers a beautiful garden and vegetable plot, garden furniture, shower, grill equipment and a small but lovely above earth pool. Although the house isn't situated in front of the sea, its location is very competitive, because it combines simultaneously easy access to the beach and the grocery and the public bus service. Our free transfer from and to the airport or the city center at the day of check-in and check out offers a benefit for the quests. The alarm system offers a safe stay for the quests. We offer, free of charge, bicycles for use of all our visitors. My wife and I are available during the renting period. We visit the house every two or three days, to clean the pool and to take care of the garden.     The house belongs to our family since it was builded in later 1700’s. I’ve inherited this cottage from my grandmother in 1999 . I left Crete in 2001 and came to England to become mother and student and the house was left untouched for so long . Last year I was desperate to sale it for making some money that was much needed. However a short trip to Crete and visit to the house again had made their magic and it was my son that convinced me to just try and renovate as much as I can. Indeed the renovation started late September and it finished late April. It has been a very rocky path with tears and sleepless nights. Because I was here in England and not there. However my cousins were there and I’m grateful that they’ve helped me endlessly. Also the technology worked out to be useful so live messages and video calls with my workmen was daily routine .     The villa is a 2-storey vacation house, in front of the sea, just on the sandy Ionian coast, in Kanali village, about 12 km north of the City of Preveza, on the North-West Greek coast. It is a favorite family vacation home in the middle off a wonderful garden of 1500 square meters, with grass and trees offering lot of shadow corners . It has two floors. Upper floor is the main bedroom, a bathroom and an assisting open loft with a double bed, usually used for the kids. So 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids) can sleep upstairs. Ground floor. There is a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher), a dining area and a small WC. Two steps further down is the Living room, (with open fireplace, TV and a double sofa-bed), leading out onto the garden and the raised courtyard with pergola and a built-in barbecue. The BBQ area is awesome and you will enjoy grilling fresh fish or souvlaki almost every night. There is also a separate guest house with a double bed and a bathroom with shower. It has entrance from the garden and may accommodate two more persons. In the back gardens there is a small melon field which supply the family and guests with herbs and salads of the season. (tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, basil, peppers, okra…. ) At walking distance some nice small taverns and 'cafe' in the beach front, and a village with market 2 bicycles are available free for easy access to the village and surrounding countryside walks .. . Guests have access to the main house (furnished with 2 double and a sofa-bed), the yard and the garden. You may use free the bicycles, the BBQ, and harvest the products of the vegetable garden and fruit trees. If you are more then 4 people you may use the separate guest house, which has a double bed and a bathroom with shower. We always wait for our guests to meet them and to inform them about the home and the surrounding area. Guests always have our mobile phone number to contact us for anything they need. Finally meet again at home before departure. The house is located in the middle of a sandy beach, about 500 meters from the village of 'canali' where you can find your daily market or visit a tavern or a cafeteria. At a distance off 200m you find a water-park, very joyful for the kids,a beach bar, and a sports group engaged in paragliding and offers classes.     “Aloni “ is an old farmhouse recently renovated with the utmost respect to the original structure and the environment. The house has a size of 100m2 with three independent entrance doors providing autonomy to each of its three main rooms allocated on a single storey with slight elevations. The main Bedroom (18 m2) has a queen bed built of stone and a private bathroom. The Sala (21 m2) consists of a big room with a double futon bed and a single, stone-built bed and a smaller area which is arranged as fully functional, equipped Kitchenette. Sala communicates with the master bedroom through a smaller room, the Nest (6 m2), with a single bed. Katogas, is an old cave four steps below the Sala. It serves as a sitting area (20 m2) or a bedroom with a bell shaped twin bed, a single, stone-built bed and a private bathroom. A rooftop fixed glass contributes bright sunlight in the room and its second door leads to the sea-garden. The SEA-GARDEN, planted with colorful shrubs and native cedar trees, is furnished with an original sitting area designed in the shape of a traditional threshing floor (Grk. Aloni). It is an ideal place to marvel at beautiful sunsets and the sea (100 m). Built the traditional way, a few steps off the main entrance, the additional Outdoors WC with a shower, is accessible to our guests and it is ideal for a refreshing shower after the beach. Breakfast is not included but throughout your stay we provide various local delicacies that will make your vacation more enjoyable (I.E. Coffee, tea and cacao for beverage as well as various local products like barley rusks, jam, cheese, fruits and other seasonal goodies) IMPORTANT NOTE: The house has 3 main rooms (as above). If you wish to use one of the rooms as a sitting/dining area then max occupancy is 5 or 6 persons. The neighborhood You will grasp the essence of country living. The immediate area has no facilities but 2.5 km away is the picturesque small port of Pollonia with restaurants, coffee-shops, bakeries, super-markets and almost everything else you might need for your vacation. Bigger towns provide all the essentials. The main port is 9 km away. The Island Milos is an island of the western Cyclades famous for the classical statue of Venus (Aphrodite), its numerous startling beaches and unique rock formations. The area of Phylakopi is a fertile small valley at the northern part of the island where various prehistoric cities repeatedly flourished between 3000 and 1000 BC. Milos is proud of having more than 72 beaches. Some of the nicest ones are close by. You may enjoy long walks around the area, or if you have your own transportation means you may easily visit all interesting spots of Milos. Boat tours around the island are a big attraction you should not miss. Other activities include Sailing, Diving, Sea kayaking, Windsurfing, Geo Walks, Wine tasting. To get to Phylakopi from Adamas (main port) or the Airport (11km) you may use public buses, a taxi or your own vehicle. Since the island has too many nice places to visit it’s a good idea to have your own means of transport.
