How to Get Here & Getting Around - If you’re arriving by air, you’ll most likely be flying into Vancouver International Airport which is just 25 minutes from downtown. Other international airports are Abbotsford, Seattle-Tacoma, and Bellingham. If you want the flexibility to take your time and stopping along the way to enjoy the view, driving is the way to go! Highway 1, the Trans-Canada Highway, accesses Vancouver from points east. Vancouver is only 3 hours north of Seattle. Take the Interstate 5, which becomes Highway 99 at the US-Canada border. You can also take the bus, the BC Ferries, and the train.

Vancouver is ideal for walking, so the best ways to get around is on foot, by bike, and via public transportation.

When to Go - The best time to visit is from March to May and from September to November - the weather is mild and the crowds are thinning. Summer here is crisp and clear, making it a popular season just like winter. Vancouver makes a great home base for winter sports enthusiast wanting to challenge the powder at Grouse Mountain, Cypress Mountain or nearby Whistler.
