Wales is one of the countries that make up the United Kingdom. With its stunning landscapes, amazing National Parks, a wealth of history and great number of Castles, Wales attracts visitors from all over the world. The towns and villages throughout Wales offer great hotel lodging and accommodation, a vacation rental, a condo rental or apartment rental for every taste. Situated on the West of England, and East across the Irish Sea from Ireland, Wales is a wonderful vacation destination.

Wales has a great many picturesque towns and villages. Towns like Cardiff, the capital and the largest city in Wales. Swansea, set by the sea is the countries second largest urban area, or Hay-on-Wye, the “Book Capital” of the UK, and home to the annual Literary Festival. Another great town is Conwy, a medieval, fortified town with an impressive castle and wonderfully quaint shops. Each town and city is unique in their own way, each one offering accommodations, vacation rentals and apartment rentals, as well as many attractions and sites.

Cardiff Castle in the city of Cardiff was built on the foundations of a Roman Fort. There is also a Norman fort in the center, the Welsh Regimental Museum and excavated Roman Ruins are open to the public. Castell Cosh (Castle Red in Welsh) is a fairytale castle nestled on a hill overlooking the city of Cardiff. If you find a rental apartment or vacation rental in Swansea, you will have a chance to see the ruins of Swansea Castle, built in the thirteenth century. Located in the center of the city they are well worth the time it takes to visit. There are many other notable sites throughout Wales, including Dylan Thomas Childhood Home, restored to reflect the time of Dylan’s youth. Oystermouth Castle, founded in the early twelfth century with both a Ring work and a Bailey. Another great site is Arthur's Stone, at Cefn Bryn, in Gower; it is a Neolithic burial chamber or Cromlech dating from twenty-five hundred BCE.

For the outdoor enthusiast, Wales has three National Parks, boasting spectacular mountain scenery, castles, and some stunning coastal views. Hiking, mountain biking, walking, canoeing, camping accommodation and other outdoor activities wait for the adventurous. Visitors to Wales should try some of the local cuisine including Welsh cakes, a delicious griddle scone, containing dried fruit or jam and covered in sugar. They are best eaten warm. Or perhaps roast lamb as Wales is noted for the high quality of its lamb.

No matter where you plan to go in Wales there are plenty of accommodations, vacation rentals, condo rentals, and apartment rentals for visitors. Find the best one for you, and go explore Wales.

  • Beautifully Presented

    London: House
    3 BDR • 1 BA • Sleeps 5 • #25158
    160 to 160 GBP/night
In the words of a former guest; This was our first visit to London, and we were looking for a comfortable and economical place to stay with our two adult children. Communication with the owner was excellent, and she did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The home is neat, clean, comfortable for four adults in need of three bedrooms, and in a quiet Harrow neighborhood northwest of central London. The owner's sister-in-law, met us at the home and drove us around the neighborhood to show us where to find things. We arrived following a red-eye flight, and found that she had already procured items for our breakfast...A very nice touch. The owner stayed in contact with us during our stay to make sure everything met our needs. The home is equipped with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, wireless Internet access (critical for our children), television, and very comfortable beds. There was no night noise issue, and we never felt unsafe in the neighborhood. There is, however, a fast train to north central London which allowed us to quickly access all the sights (15 minute trip). The train station is about a mile away and can readily be accessed by walking or by buses from stops about 1/4 mile away. If you are seeking a cost-effective abode for a London visit and don't mind having to do a little traveling to get to the sites, this home provides an excellent option. Excellent option.
