Designated in 1919, Zion is Utah's oldest national park. To experience Zion, you need to walk among the towering cliffs of sandstone which range in color from cream, to pink, to red. The main canyon is the most popular section of the park and can be accessed from Springdale, Utah. Popular trail-heads for Weeping Rock, Emerald Pools, Angels Landing, The Narrows, etc. are all found on the eight-mile scenic drive that is accessible by shuttle April through October, and by private vehicle the rest of the year.

Aside from hiking through the canyons of Zion, there are many other activities to be enjoyed in this unique landscape. Biking is one of the most popular ways to experience Zion Canyon. The Pa'rus trail is a 3.5 mile paved trail that allows bikes. It's a beautifully scenic ride up the canyon along the Virgin River.

Trail rides in Zion Canyon are a perennial favorite. One-hour and half-day rides can be arranged through Canyon Trail Rides. It overlooks large pastures with the Sevier River meandering throughout, where you can watch cattle roam in the summer, as well as spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the back of Bryce Canyon (Paunsagunt Cliffs) which is right in front of the house. Most windows in the house have a breathtaking view, hence the name "Lookout". The property sits on 3.5 private acres with private Sevier River frontage for fishing. The river is known for 3 kinds of trout that are restocked periodically by the local fish hatchery. The property has just completed an extensive remodel with new hardwood and tile flooring throughout, exceptional tile walk in showers with windows, granite countertops, automatic espresso and coffee maker (coffee provided), stainless steel kitchen appliances etc. It has been decorated in a trendy modern urban industrial style using reclaimed accent pieces, local antiques and custom metal artwork from local craftsmen. Of course high speed wireless internet is provided as well as Netflix and Amazon Video service (no broadcast, cable or satellite channels), as well as Pandora for music and ambiance. The Lookout is around 1800 sf. There is one full bathroom downstairs, where the kitchen and large family / dining room are located. On the second floor are 2 bedrooms (one with a split cal king bed, and one with 2 XL twins) and 2 bathrooms (both have large walk in showers with windows, one has an additional large tub). The third floor is an open loft with a cal king bed. All beds have new state of the art latex mattresses. We provide many extras for our guests, such as locally made artisan soaps, shampoo, coffee from the region and much more. The gourmet kitchen features stainless steel appliances and is well equipped for cooking lavish meals and baking treats in the convection oven. Washer, laundry soap and dryer are also provided. Note that the Lookout does not have air conditioning, as summers do not get very hot at the higher elevation in Hatch, but all windows have screens so they can be opened to take advantage of the breeze. You will enjoy a good night rest in eery silence. If you're from the big city, it will take some getting used to. The property is equipped with state-of-the-art electronic locks so that guests can check themselves in at any time, and late check-in is not a problem. Guests have access to the entire house, and can roam freely on the 3.5 acres as well as fish (with a Utah fishing license, that can be purchased online) and swim in the Sevier River. 4x4 or high clearance is useful in order to enjoy the surrounding trails, but a regular low-clearance sedan is sufficient to access the house itself. The house looks directly at the back of Bryce Canyon and the Sevier River. Most windows in the house have a view, and there are no neighbors. The property was entirely renovated, decorated and furnished in 2015 with an neo-industrial/farm style mixing wood and metal. The house features accents of barnwood (most of it from the property itself) and many of the furniture pieces and lighting fixtures were custom made from local artisans using reclaimed barnwood. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (the master bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and separate tiled shower) and a half bath, with a size of approximately 1800 sf. Take the walk along the left side of the unit, then turn left to find the condo entrance. Step into a stairwell and find a laundry room to your left and the garage straight ahead. Take the carpeted stairs up the main level and walk directly into the kitchen. The condo's sophisticated feel includes artwork ranging from abstract paintings to table sculptures to portraits of elk and JFK. The unique corner-style kitchen features granite counters, hardwood floors, and all-stainless appliances: fridge, gas stove/oven, dishwasher, and microwave. A well-stocked pantry is to the right, as is a bathroom with a granite vanity and a gleaming white tiled shower. The third bedroom is first along the corridor from here. Great for the kids, it features a twin-over-twin bunk, separate twin bed and twin trundle, all in matching rustic timbers. There’s a 26” TV and DVD player so the young ones can enjoy movie nights. Directly across is the second bedroom, carpeted with a queen bed and large mirrored closet. A large dining table in front of the kitchen offers seating for six.
