I rented this apartment for almost a month during winter, and it more than met my expectations. I have rented apartments in other countries in Europe, and this was the most nearly perfect to date. The owners were prompt and clear with instructions on the rental, and very generous and articulate on all that Avignon has to offer, from historical and cultural institutions and events to local transport options and much more, as well as instructions on how to locate the TGV train station within Charles De Gaulle Airport! Most importantly, the apartment was clean, amply furnished with everything you might need, and all of the technology worked - internet, phone, printer, and television. It has a complete kitchen for cooking, and the largest farmer’s market, a 3-minute walk outside the wall, occurs every Saturday. Plus, there are beautiful windows with lots of natural light throughout the apartment, and two outdoor patios at opposite sides of the apartment. The onsite contact was very helpful and gracious also. The location is ideal, close enough to walk to museums, and historical sites as well as markets, restaurants, shopping, cinema, and even the opera house. I highly recommend Owner Direct and this apartment in particular, as an excellent accommodation in Avignon.

The apartment is located inside the medieval ramparts of Avignon, a 10 minute walk to the city's main square and shopping district. It is completely furnished, including AIR CONDITIONING, ceiling fans in bedrooms, linen, WiFi, unlimited long-distance telephone, and clothes washer (no dryer). Located on 3rd floor, accessible by elevator. Avignon is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its significance as a Papal City during the 14th century. Today it is at the centre of Provence, close to other amazing sites such as the Pont du Gard, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Les Baux, and renowned for its many festivals. It is only an hour's drive to the beaches of the Mediterranean and is serviced by France's rapid train, the TGV, direct from Charles de Gaulle airport.
