River Shannon is a 10 minute walk from the property. There is no beach. There is a public dock, moorage and float anchor.
The River Shannon is one of the most spectacular tourist destinations in Europe and offers unspoilt cruising waters with large areas of lake and river and few boats. The River Shannon is a nature-lovers paradise with abundant wildlife, with excellent coarse fishing and some game fishing. History and heritage feature strongly in our holidays. There are excellent ruins going back to the 12th Century and many, such as Clonmacnoise, are easily accessible from the water. There are many pubs and restaurants along its route The River Shannon has peace and tranquillity.

Banagher is famous for its Irish music pubs, its river cruises, Bog walks and tours, great Fishing, ( coarse fishing - pike fishing is particularly rewarding). Its proximity to several golf courses, Excellent super markets and shops, Restaurants and Hotels make it a great holiday location . Most of the pubs serve really good food and creamy Guinness .
