Benajarafe is a charming coastal resort, in the east of the Costa del Sol. It has a great location, situated beside a long stretch of beach where you will find clear waters for swimming or just relaxing. The town, a fishing village, is picturesque without the high-rise buildings of many other towns in coastal Spain.
Inland from the town is the beautiful mountainous Axarquia region, which is ideal for hikers, nature lovers and anybody who appreciates natural beauty. This is also a great location to drive to Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Nerja, and Morocco as the main highway is only 5 minutes away.
Benajarafe is located 45 kilometres from the centre of Málaga, a journey time of 20 minutes by car. The beautiful city of Malaga has many tourist sites such as the ancient Alcazaba, Malaga Cathedral, Castle of Gibralfaro, Picasso Museum & Home and the Municipal Market. Various entertainment is enjoyed in the Theatre Cervantes such as classical music by Malaga Philharmonic, ballet, dramas and other types of music concerts. Flamenco can be seen in many venues in the city along with other styles of guitar music. There are many fine restaurants and pubs throughout the city and AL fresco dining in the newly opened port area.
Our house is on the second line from the beach and from our terrace has a view to the sea and about a two minute walk to the water. The village has food markets, a bank, a bakery, a pharmacy and many good restaurants both in the village and on the beach. Our house has central air condition, heat and dehumidifier. We have a new flat screen television and WiFi. Añoreta Golf Resort is 5 KM away.
