We arrived to condo tired after a long travel and immediately discovered that is not a place where we want to spend our vacations: half of electric bulbs are broken, AC at master bedroom does not work (at ~90 degrees outside + humidity), faucet at kitchen broken (thus, no water), flat TV does not work, no bed cloths, towels etc, one shower head dispenses water to floor around and ... wall at master bedroom in such a condition that is not a pleasure to enter,
it must be fixed and repainted urgently!
All seven days and nights we were under repairs. Unfortunately, we had no change to cancel our stay - all was preset.
We were forced to exchange with owner ~20 email messages until a modem gets fail (in the last day of stay).

Alexander was justified in his unhappiness about this rental, as a very unfortunate convergence of problems occurred during his stay. I offered him compensation for this disappointment, which he accepted.
My rental unit is a condo embedded in a resort hotel property (Camino Real Zaashila) and its maintenance is handled by hotel employees, or by outside repair persons arranged by the condo manager, with whom I maintain constant email contact. I live in Canada, so I am not on site myself, but I try to maintain communication with my guests as well as the hotel staff as much as possible.
Most of Alexander’s problems were the result of equipment failures: a broken kitchen faucet, a malfunctioning shower head in the ensuite bathroom, the television in the living room, and failure of the master bedroom air conditioner.
These problems were addressed as quickly as possible, and the faucet, shower head, and the air conditioner were repaired as promptly as can be expected in Mexico. Unfortunately, the air conditioner repair was done incorrectly and the repair persons (not hotel staff) had to return and redo the wiring.
There was also some negligence on the part of the hotel staff (a very unusual occurrence) regarding the preparation of the condo for Alexander’s arrival including an unsuccessful attempt to repair the kitchen faucet. The condo manager apologized for these failures and offered him extra housekeeping service as compensation.
My condo had been rented almost continuously since the beginning of June, and during Alexander’s stay, a five-star review was posted on VRBO by a renter who was there just the week before Alexander’s arrival. This was the latest of a long series of very favorable reviews on several rental websites.
We will occupy the property ourselves in November, and will be ensuring that all of the issues experienced by Alexander have been properly resolved.

The new owners, have just upgraded the decor of this delightful condo. The previous owners had completely renovated our living area and kitchen in the fall of 2010 to modern standards. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo is within the Camino Real Zaashila Resort with full access to all hotel amenities. We have an ocean view and sunset view from our private plunge pool (14 X 18 feet), just off our living room. Patio doors fold completely into the walls so the living room extends onto our patio and pool area - beautiful any time of day!!!

The Camino Real is situated on its own secluded beach in Tangolunda Bay. There are 3 restaurants, 2 bars, an enormous freeform pool, beach palapas, beach bar service, jet ski/kayak/sailing rentals onsite, Spa services beachside, travel concierge onsite, 24 hour room service....Everything you need in one location. Check in like a hotel guest, but with all the amenities of a home.

Our condo has a full kitchen complete with fridge/freezer, range, oven, microwave, wine fridge, and all the appliances and essentials for ease of cooking. The master bedroom is extremely large with full ensuite and private lanai with hammock for siesta time. The second bedroom is a new queen bed complete with flat screen TV/DVD combo and armoire. Our living room is complete with large flat screen TV, DVD player, and DVD library.

Come and enjoy our little piece of paradise!

Renters pay a daily resort fee directly to the resort of 180 pesos = $8.53USD (for two) or 300 pesos = $14.22USD (for four). This fee covers daily housekeeping, power and water, and use of the hotel facilities - pools, palapas, beach towels, tennis court, gym etc. This Fee is not included in the Owner Direct quoted rate as the Fee is paid directly to the resort upon checkout.
