Comfortable and Cozy We stayed in this condo for a full week in late July, just the two of us. The condo was very clean and the kitchen is really fully accomodated with everything you possibly need for simple cooking, even loads of seasonings!
It was nice having the washer and dryer. The down side was that the place could really use some updates, especially in the bathrooms and new paint on the walls to spruce it up. Other than that, a very enjoyable stay.

A perfect place to get away from it all Carnelian Bay is a beautiful place, more low key than Tahoe City. The townhomes are situated in clusters with lots of open space between the buildings. We had a view of the lake from our balcony along with wooded areas. Because of COVID-19 we did not visit any restaurants or shopping areas. We did walk along the beach and take a couple of short drives. The townhouse was exactly as described and very comfortabe.

Week of 6/28/10 We always like our Carnelian Woods accomodations. We have been renting one week per year for many years running. This year, we were surprised to find that the pool was not open. This would have been important information for us to know, either when we made the booking in Januaray, or anytime after that, but prior to our stay. Had we known the pool would not be open, we would probably have changed our stay dates. When we inquired of First Accomodations, we were not given a satisfactory answer, nor did we receive the follow up we were promised. We called a couple times to inquire about the pool opening but did not receive return calls. Response from First Accommodations; Tuesday, July 6, 2010 The pool closure notification had been been displayed on the property description for 6 months, which was before the reservation was made. Unfortunately this information was missed by the renter.

Nice Unit We have stayed in several of the units and I must say that Unit 155 is by far the nicest. It has very nice, clean and plush carpets in the bedrooms, living and dining room and up the stairs. The mattress in the master bedroom was on the stiff side, but I slept just fine on it. The onsight management has some issues and could use some customer service training but the person I talked to on the phone was great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for condition of property was that there were some scuff marks on the walls in the entry and downstairs bedroom.

Loved the Property - The Management Company needs to fire a guy The property was very well kept and had all sorts of little amenities that made it a great stay at a really great price. There is a peaceful view of the lake through the trees on the porch.

It actually reminded me of a friend's Parents' home in VT where we'd go to cross country ski. It made me feel like I was at home.

We were on our honeymoon. When we arrived there was a voucher on the counter for us for a nice restaurant given to us by the company my Husband works for.

When I signed up for the property I did it on a holiday weekend and when reading the contract had questions. I assumed they wouldn't be open and didn't call. (Then I forgot about it.) When I received a reminder call from the company, the guy was about the most rude person I have ever talked to. (I don't believe this guy works on site. I believe he works for wherever the management company is.) He was condescending and bitchy. I was in the wrong but he could have started, continued, and ended the conversation in a much more professional manner than he did.

Additionally, he wanted to charge the company my Husband works for 25 dollars to put a piece of paper (the restaurant voucher) into our rental unit. Thank goodness the person at the company pushed back on the guy. He made a deal that if they drew it up and send it over, that someone would only have to put it into the unit. (That was completely unethical on the management's part. I hope that is not common practice. I would also hope it was this individual's own genius idea.)

I really want to report the person but I didn't get his name. It upsets me that a significant trip of my life was tainted by such a scumbag.

As a side note: anyone we dealt with at the actual location were absolutely fine to deal with. We only really ever saw one person that gave us our parking tag. He was quite pleasant. Response from First Accommodations; Wednesday, December 21, 2011 This person must be recalling an occurrence from a different facility, as we do not have any employees nor were we asked to deliver any item.

The onsight management has some issues and could use some customer service training but the person I talked to on the phone was great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for condition of property was that there were some scuff marks on the walls in the entry and downstairs bedroom.

We always like our Carnelian Woods accomodations.
