Great spot; spotlessly clean! We loved our stay in Kye Bay. The house and host were perfect, and the location was hard to beat. We'd definitely go back!

Beautiful and peaceful place. We were very happy with our 3 day stay with our son at this Kye Bay, Comox location. We had a little glitch upon arrival when the door code didn't work, but cheerful Candice from EMR was available instantly, via cell phone, and was able to give us a back up code. Aside from the beautiful, peaceful location, we found many other amenities that were abundantly thoughtful in making our stay even more pleasant: almost every kitchen gadget you can imagine, several games, puzzles, and interesting books on shoreline birds, whales etc., flashlights, plastic wrap, tinfoil, wax paper, napkins, etc., good lighting inside and out, detergent pucks for the washer, extra bedding and pillows, plus cosy throw blankets for the living room. We found the $250 cleaning fee, along with the other added fees, to be expensive, compared to others. That aside, however, all in all, we would say it was a successful 5 star stay.

A winter beach get away A lovely 2 weeks by the ocean between house moves. <br/>House was really just yards from the ocean .<br/>Loved the windy stormy days, being entertained by the hundreds of seabirds of all types and of course the seals <br/>House was spacious and well equipped. <br/>Two points to consider for winter rentals<br/>1 As the wood burner cannot be used some sort of electric fireplace would provide that cosy feeling<br/>2 The big sectional is against the windows which means the view is lost plus it can feel a bit cool sitting there

Kye Bay Winter Beach House is a 2000 square foot home that features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms over two floors and lots of outdoor patio living space and spectacular views of the Kye Bay Beach, Northern Gulf Islands, the Salish Sea, and the Coastal Mountain Range.

Step out on one of the best large sandy beaches on Vancouver Island directly from the property. When the tide is out you can explore the entire bay for many kilometers. Watch for the many types of marine wildlife that are passing through or call Kye Bay home. Build sandcastles, play, swim, or just relax in the sunshine during the warm summer months.

The main house has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped for the essentials you need to enjoy beach life cooking including an outdoor grill for the BBQ chef in your group.

There is a spacious living and dining room with high ceilings and indoor atrium lounging space that provides you the incredible beach side view. The property recently added a new gazebo to the array of outdoor living spaces which are winterized during the late fall and winter months.

The home is ideal for warm weather family beach-side getaways in the spring and summer, or storm watching in the fall and winter. The 4 bedroom option is available from April 1 – October 31 each year.

Attention snowbirds, this area is considered temperate climate in Canada and a perfect place to escape to Vancouver Island from the Prairie snow and cold in the winter. Call to find out special off season monthly rates.

Use the Kye Bay Winter Beach House as your base to explore all the other attractions, festivals, shopping, and dining the Comox Valley provides.

During ski season, Mt Washington is only 45 minutes away which has both winter and summer activities. Sometimes you can ski in the morning and golf in the Comox Valley in the afternoon. Mountain biking and hiking abounds in the summer.

Shopping and dining is within 15 minutes drive from the house both in Comox and Courtenay including some wonderful seasonal farmers markets throughout the region.

Checkout some of the Island's best events held in the Comox Valley like the Filberg Festival, Vancouver Island Music Fest, or the BC Seafood Festival.

Campbell River is only 40 minutes away with incredible wilderness nature sightseeing tours to see Grizzly Bears in the Great Bear Rain Forest or Whale Watching in the Salish Sea. Also some of the best seasonal salmon fishing charters on Vancouver Island are located in and operated out of Campbell River.

The Kye Bay Winter Beach House is close to many travel access points with major Canadian airlines using Comox airport just 5 minutes away. BC Ferries with car ferries from Vancouver to Nanaimo, where you can drive to the house in about 1 hour from Nanaimo. City of Victoria is only 2.5 hours away by car. Access the ferry to the Sunshine Coast just 15 minutes away.
