If your party tends to go to sleep early and rise early, please be aware that on Friday & Saturday nights and on special event evenings, live or louder music is played until 11:30 pm. There is insulation and some guests have indicated they found the festivities below to be inconsequential. Many guests will enjoy joining the fun before taking one quick flight of stairs to get home. However, if your group is likely to be very noise sensitive, weekend bookings during the height of the winter or summer concert season may not be ideal for you. The Fireside Lodge complex is centrally located in the heart of the Sun Peaks Resort village, close to all lifts and village shops, restaurants and bars. The second bedroom has a large double bed and elegant French doors and. The third bedroom has bunk beds for the kids. There is also a leather sofa bed in the living room. There are beautiful slate stone floors in the foyer and hardwood floors through the rest of the home except the bedrooms and bath rooms. The house also comes with a fully equipped kitchen with all essentials including coffee and hot chocolate and 6 appliances including washer and dryer. The dining area has a dining set that will accommodate 8 but there is also seating room on the bar area of the huge kitchen island. The living room has a very comfortable leather 3 piece set and a 50' flat screen smart TV that comes with Netflix loaded on to it. Things to Do in Kimberley At an impressive elevation of 1,110m/3,642ft, Kimberley's altitude, often sunny skies and impressive amount of snowfall means it's a favoured ski/snowboard destination in the Kootenay Rockies. Kimberley Alpine Resort and the Kimberley Nordic Centre are located just minutes from 'downtown' (note that this busy 'downtown' has only one traffic light!). Close to Kimberley are myriad lakes, rivers (including the St. Mary River) and streams that offer excellent fishing, rafting and boating opportunities. Jun 29, 2015 - Exceptionally Beautiful Date of Stay January 5, 2015 Helpful votes:1/1 Overlooking the Mount Newton Valley, the suite is a wonderful place to stay while visiting the Victoria area. I had the pleasure of calling it home for four months this past winter/spring. Beautifully appointed, with top quality furnishings, the suite is very private, wonderfully comfortable and impeccably clean. I loved watching the sunrise from the bedroom and later, as the days warmed in the spring, meals on the patio were heaven. The location, while blissfully rural, is very central with easy access to ferries, the airport, the town of Sydney and villages of Saanichton and Brentwood Bay, beaches and hiking all about 10 minutes away. Downtown Victoria is about 20 to 40 minutes depending on the time of day. The owners are wonderful hosts, graciously making me feel very much at home on their lovely property. The dogs were delightful company, but never intrusive in any way. I am very grateful to have spent four months living there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Recommended for: Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway Response
