Clean cabin & great rental company
Our cabin was a nice little getaway. As soon as you walked in, you could tell it was clean! The layout of the house was great. We really enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. It would have been nice to have had a fire stick or some kind of movie access in the theater without having to use DVDs. Because of this, I don’t think we actually used the theater at all! if I would’ve realized in advance, I would have brought a Firestick or Apple TV from home. Also, the beds were probably the most uncomfortable of any place I have stayed. This is something that could be a very easy fix! Foam mattress covers and some upgraded bedding would make a huge huge difference! I loved the use of the fireplace and how easy it was. There were no Christmas decorations up when we arrived on December 21. Thankfully my husband found a Christmas tree in a Closet downstairs and I put that up! That made a big difference since we were there the week of Christmas. I feel the whole rental staff was great! We enjoyed using the grill, and the kitchen was equipped with anything we needed. We had a very nice stay.

Eagle's Nest, 11/2022
Our cabin was absolutely wonderful. The only complaints we had were the floors were very squeaky and we wished the tv in the movie theater room had cable or the ability to connect to streaming services. We didn't bring any movies and the ones in the cabin were outdated so we didn't get to use this room. We did have one maintenance issue but they responded immediately, corrected the issue and were very professional!

Great location and views
I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin, there was a lot of dust and dirt everywhere. It did not look like it was dusted in quite a while, the air intake vents were filthy (so how clean were the filters?). We all sneezed a lot. There were dust bunnies on the fans, beams, corners and stair railings. The hottub was clean and enjoyable. The view was beautiful. The theater room was very nice. The beds were very comfortable. It was very close to Gatlinburg, so we could get supplies and visit stores and shows.

A great stay overall
This was our first time renting a cabin and we were not disappointed. The property management staff was so easy to work with, from the time I made the reservation until the day we checked out. Thank you for your amazing service!<br/><br/>The cabin is located in a very nice location. It is close to the arts and crafts district, the local grocery store and several restaurants. All things that I looked for in a vacation stay. Check out the Alamo Steakhouse for dinner and Little House of Pancakes for breakfast. Both were great experiences for us!<br/><br/>Our cabin was mostly well maintained. However, there seems to be a lot of details missed when it comes to the exterior and the balconies. We had trash and, most disturbingly, a bunch of toe nail clippings all over the top balcony. In addition, the cabin offers a gas grill, which is a nice feature that we had planned to use. Sadly, the inside of the grill looks like it has never been cleaned. The grease is built up so badly that the left hand burners don’t even light so we were not able to use it. We were completely shocked when we took the kitchen trash out for the first time as well. The bottom of the inside of the kitchen trash can is so dirty that it should probably just be replaced. <br/><br/>The areas for us that didn’t hit 100% were very small details and did not take away from our overall stay. These are just things that need to be pointed out so that our next visit to Elk Springs can be even that much more amazing. <br/><br/>We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the area and the cabin to family and friends!

Paradise Found !
Our experience was wonderful from the day of reservation until checkout. We liked the view of the cabin. It was very clean, organized, and well stocked with kitchen things we needed. Overall we enjoyed the cabin.

Much needed family getaway
This rental was everything it proclaimed and more. My family had room to roam in this spacious chalet. My favorite was the back porch in the morning drinking my coffee with nature. A trip next year is already in the plans.

Great place to stay

Fall Girls Trip
It was a great weekend. Lots of room and a fabulous theater room. We always stay where there is a theater room and this was the best by far.

Great Getaway
Beautiful, secluded cabin!! Kids and adults enjoyed the theater room and arcade game!! We had a couple of issues when we came in, a light was out and the cable on the projector wasn’t working!! The guy came right out and fixed the light and came back the next day with the cable for the projector!! He fixed us right up...although after fixing the projector, it was crooked on the screen and you couldn’t see the corner of the movie!! Wasn’t a huge deal!! He was very friendly and kind!! <br/>Probably our favorite cabin out of the 2 we’ve stayed in!!

Wonderful Cabin!
This was a quick weekend getaway with our kids. The cabin was beautiful and very clean! The kids loved the hot tub and sauna and we enjoyed watching Christmas movies in the theater room! We will definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was beautiful. Everything was really clean. We had a couple of questions while we were there and the property managers were very responsive to our needs. We will be back!!! Near the Arts & Crafts community and we highly recommend eating at Three Jimmys.

Not restful - critters crawling around in the cabin each night
There are critters or animals in the walls of this cabin that we had to listen to every night of our stay. Heard on the main floor and on the upstairs floor all night every night of our stay. I called maintenance and told them about the issue and they sent someone to “look at it.” They seemed totally unsurprised about the issue and never followed up after I called. I will not stay here ever again because it was the worst nights sleep every night of our trip.<br/><br/>On top of the critters, the cabin had not been properly cleaned in a long time. Only the surface areas had been touched. I opened a blanket on the couch and food fell out of it on our first night there. I found pills on the carpet in the bedroom. Vacuuming was not a priority for the cleaning crew.

Great Place!
We had a great time here at the cabin. I would recommend it to anyone for a nice/quiet getaway. My only “issue” if you would call it that was the lighting in the showers were very dim and it was hard to see. Otherwise perfect stay, and it was very clean!

Overall another great vacation in gatlinburg. Cabin is very nice and clean. Are only issue with the stay was the home theater wasn't working, so that kinda bummed our plans out.

Expected a Hallmark Christmas, got a Griswold Christmas Vacation
We stayed at Eagles Nest from 12/20/20-12/26/20. We acknowledge that a huge snowstorm knocked out power at the end of the week, and that was out of Elk Springs' control. Our disappointment comes from Elk Springs' lack of communication and failure to provide alternatives. The power loss not only knocked out heat and appliances (so no way to cook or store food and no hot water), but also cut off all communication, as cell phones did not work with no WiFi and the only landlines in the cabin were cordless phones that require electricity. Elk Springs made no effort to communicate with cabins to ensure guests had food or if they wanted to make alternate arrangements. <br/>In addition, we had a rodent problem - a chipmunk that got into the cabin at least twice. My son spent 2 of the 5 nights we slept at the cabin listening to a rodent scurrying around his bedroom. The cabin was generally well maintained and had some nice amenities (the media room was great; no clue about the hot tub or sauna as the multi-day power outage occurred during the time we planned to use those). But overall, there were issues. For a cabin that supposedly sleeps 10, there were 6 towels/washcloths. Multiple light bulbs were out. The jacuzzi jets in one tub would turn themselves on while the shower was running. And the rain shower heads had so little water pressure they were nearly unusable. <br/>When we e-mailed Elk Springs after our trip about these issues, the response we received was: "We are very sorry to hear that your stay was not enjoyable. We appreciate your detailed feedback this will definitely be helpful in improving our cabins. Have a good night."<br/>Elk Springs bills itself as "A Luxury Cabin Resort." Neither the experience nor the customer service meets that label.

Critters
This is the second time we have stayed at the Eagle's Nest cabin. We love the property and the management team. The latter are great communicators and the former is wonderfully laid out with plenty of places to relax and recoup. However, we were woken numerous times during our weekend stay due to rats crawling and gnawing in the walls and ceilings. This scared our two young children immensely and no one slept well the whole weekend. The rats would start partying around 9:30 and not stop until the sun rose. We all switched bedrooms several times in the night to try to allow for sleep, but because of the nature of the cabin's acoustics; it did not matter where you moved to, you could still hear the rats. I would expect that something as expensive a night as this rental (and rightly so because it is beautiful) would afford rest and relaxation, but we were unable to sleep more than a few hours total each night (and we are not light sleepers).

Relaxing Mountain Getaway
We loved staying at this cabin! The hot tub, sauna, and movie room were all lovely and the cabin comfortably slept 6 adults. Its close to town and an easy drive with a great view. We would definitely come back!

Great birthday trip!
We rented this cabin for my son's 17th birthday party. He picked it out because of all the amenities at this cabin & he was not disappointed! He and his friends loved playing pool and using the hot tub. But the big hit of the weekend was the theater room. They watched movies and played his PS4 on the big screen! The cabin was very clean and you could tell it was well maintained. We all needed this getaway after the crazy year we've had and it was so relaxing and fun!

Eagles Nest - Needs a Deep Cleaning
A bit disappointed in the cleanliness of this cabin. To begin, there was a lot of trash littered around the property. Apparently past guests threw bottles and cans amongst other things, off of the decks. My husband (who paid nearly $2,000 to rent this cabin), took it upon himself to traverse the property and clean up all of the debris. He filled an entire garbage bag. This is something that should be done as the property changes renters. Very disappointing. The living room couch had all crumbs between the cushions, the theater room chairs also had crumbs all under the cup holders. Dead bugs filled the kitchen lights fixture, crumbs in the kitchen drawers, and a filthy, buttery dinner plate left in the kitchen cabinet. In addition to the cleanliness issues, we also had a problem with the DVD player and needed a replacement DVD player. We lost two nights of movie room time because of this. Needless to say, we did not tip our housekeeper at the end of our stay. For the price we paid for this home for the week, we were very disappointed. This was also our second time renting from Elks Springs Resort. We will probably look elsewhere next time we visit the Smokies.

50th bday Retreat
Rented the Take Your Breath Away cabin to celebrate my boyfriends 50th bday with another couple. Was disappointed because the cabin was damaged by the wind storm so we had to choose another cabin. The staff was very accommodating and called before our visit and was very patient while we looked through the various available cabins. We chose Eagles Nest which was a larger cabin and very nice and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dishwater and silverware. We had an awesome time and made memories that will last a lifetime! We did have a small mishap with hot water but the maintenance staff came within 30 minutes to repair.

Super spacious for our 6 people!
The cabin was very well positioned since the views were not of the other cabins in the area. It was perfectly clean and spacious. 3 stories for our fun packed week! Also received texts of bad weather, which was huge due to the fact that we didn't drive a 4WD. We could have stayed forever!!

Great Time for My Daughter's 16th Birthday!
As an owner of a 2 bedroom cabin in Elk Springs we had to change up to a 3 bedroom to accommodate more teenagers for my daughter's 16th birthday weekend to the mountains. I found the cabin to be extremely comfortable (just like home) and the kids absolutely loved the downstairs with the movie theater, sauna, and hot tub. Thanks for making my little girl's birthday so memorable. Only downside is that we are now thinking about buying a larger cabin!

Eagles Nest Nice!!
Repeat customers to Elk Springs. This year we stayed at Eagles Nest. Clean! Comfortable beds, love the theater, kids loved classic arcade with 60 games. Had a problem with a smoke defector "chirping" for battery replacement. Maintence came and solved the problem. Liked the location :)

Eagle's Nest
Recently returned from a relaxing family vacation to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge in June. Loved everything about the whole experience. Check-in was hassle free and simple since it did not require going to a central rental office and standing in line filling out paperwork etc. it was so convenient having all necessary paperwork completed ahead of time. The cabin was conveniently located between both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I recommend following the directions closely on the checkin info given by the rental office as it is a little difficult to find once you are on the property. It was very private compared to other cabins we have rented before. All the amenities were as advertised and the cabin was very well maintained. Beds were comfortable and spaced out enough in the cabin that noise from children was not an issue. Kids loved the downstairs bunk beds, hot tub, sauna. Pool table in upper loft was a hit as well. The adults enjoyed "movie night" each night in the home theater after a busy day exploring the area. Relaxing in the rocking chairs on one of the three decks in the early morning was a great start to the day. Lots of birds, chipmunks and wildlife to see. The kids were disappointed not to see any bears (I, however was relieved lol) but we're excited to spy a family of raccoons lumbering through the woods below us. We really enjoyed our time there and hope to return again in the future.

Great cabin getaway
The Eagles nest is great. It has it all and has plenty of space for the entire family to be able to relax and have a good time. Great view as well. Play some billiards, soak in the hot tub, hit the sauna then watch a movie. What else could you ask for? Location is great too. Just outside the downtown area. Definitely would like to make another visit soon.

Amazing, perfect, dream-come-true cabin
The Eagles Nest exceeded our expectations in every way. The location was ideal, private but convenient. My daughter and I have traveled together for years and this was the nicest place we’ve ever stayed. The fireplace, sauna, hot tub, jacuzzis, decks with rocking chairs, and theater made it miserable to leave. Can’t wait to go back.

Amazing Retreat
We so enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It had so many ammenties for the price we rented it at. Our family favorite had to be the theater room. We also loved the sauna, the huge jetted tubs and rain showers. The views off of each balcony were awesome! It was great having a cup of coffee and enjoying the deck. Elk Springs Resort reached out to us to make sure all of our needs were met. When we had an issue they were super quick to send someone to fix it. We will gladly visit in one of their cabins again.

Disappointed - worst Cabin I ever rented in TN
The description says, "quiet cabin" The street the Cabin was located on was lined with Cinder Blocks, tractors, gravel, and a porta potty due to new construction. Seeing this and hearing tractors working and the beeping when they were driving in reverse made me very angry that I wasn't told of this before I booked this cabin. I would have chosen another cabin in the resort. It completely ruined the feeling of getting away from the city and being with nature. It was a complete eyesore. I have video to show you if you want to see and hear it.<br/><br/>It also has the description of a "ramp" to the main level. The ramp was a large stone covered incline from the parking to the front deck. The stones were all different sizes and not tamped down. Bigger than lava rock, it should have been pea gravel. I slipped and twisted my ankle many times carrying luggage and supplies in. This is a safety hazard for someone using a walker or cane. <br/><br/>Not enough seating for dining. Cabin sleeps 10, but only 6 chairs and 2 bar stools. <br/><br/>Also, the self described "ramp"

Although we cannot completely shut down construction, we are happy to ask the crew to be more aware of our current guests if needed. Amazing Week at the Eagle's Nest
We had an amazing visit in the Smoky Mountains at the Eagle's Nest cabin! The cabin was beautiful and we all enjoyed the incredible views from the 3 balconies. The kids loved the arcade games, pool table, hot tub, and bunk beds. We all enjoyed the movie room and hot tub after a full day of hiking and enjoying the national park. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to make some homemade meals and the location of the cabin was perfect with a grocery store a short drive away. We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful, Clean, and Spacious Cabin!
This was our first experience with renting a cabin and visiting the area. Everything about it was easy! From reserving the cabin to check out. Plenty of direction and communication from the resort leading up to and day of arrival, responses were quick to our questions, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The cabin was bigger than I expected. We had 10 pp, and never felt on top of one another. The cabin was clean, and had just the right amount of amenities. The location was perfect, close enough to town, but far enough to experience being in the Mountains. This cabin is on a cul de sac, and with 6 kids, it was nice to have an area for them to play. We all had a great time! We look forward to returning one day.

Family Getaway
It was peaceful and stress free. The property and staff were exceptionally accommodating and courteous. I believed we over packed since the cabin had 99% of anything you would need for a home away from home. We will return and recommend 100%.

Wonderful vacations
Was amazing. At the first day we had water leak from 3rd floor , we called and they sent a guy in less than 30 minutes . Guy check everything good then never happened again. Everything clean. Only the location the ground to go to cabin it’s in stone and sand because it’s underconstruction other new cabins . But in general was the best vacations that I had had in my whole life. We are thinking to doing again .

Relaxing Mountain Getaway
All in all, a well-appointed spacious mountain home with many nice amenities. Movie theater was loved by all. Floor plan was desirable. The view was pleasant. Location closer to town was definitely a plus with young children. 3 stars for malfunctioning fireplace that was not resolved after 4 separate service calls. But to Elk Springs credit, maintenance/housekeeping were always extremely prompt and professional at all hours even on the weekend!

Fall Break

Wonderful Cabin
Eagles Nest Cabin is a great cabin. The property description is very accurate. The home theater room is amazing and we had so much fun watching movies! My kids had fun playing pool and playing the video game machine. The property was clean and well-maintained. This is the third time using Elk Springs Resort and we will never use anyone else. They are so easy to deal with and the cabins are beautiful. I would definitely recommend this cabin and, of course, definitely recommend Elk Springs Resort.

Great Family Adventure
The staff at Elk Springs Resort were great. Constant communication with any/all information we needed. There was bad weather in the area and we received a text from the staff advising us of weather conditions and unless absolutely necessary to stay in our cabin. The cabin was everything they described. Lots of activities to do at the cabin when the weather had us staying inside. All accommodations were exactly as they advised.

Expectations Exceeded
Our experience at Eagles Nest exceeded all expectations. The cabin is exactly as shown on the website. All of the rooms were spotless and everything from making a reservation to the express check out went perfectly. Overall a nice cabin. Kitchen well supplied. Nice views and deck. One negative - entire family commented the beds not very comfortable (how old are those mattresses??) and the linens were a little threadbare. Kids in the downstairs bedroom said foot traffic upstairs very loud for them.

Great cabin!
We loved this cabin and the way it was payed out! The board games on the bottom floor were a good extra touch! Also, I love when there is a memories book, makes it personal! My family and I have stayed at Elk Springs multiple times and it is always a great and easy process. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home! Only thing I would like to see improve is the view. The trees have grown up and blocked the view of the mountains, so this cabin doesn’t have a Mountain View as described.

Wonderful Weekend
My family had an amazing time staying at Eagle's Nest the weekend of my oldest soccer tournament in Gatlinburg. It was a quite respite from the chaos of the soccer field and was a warm and cozy place to recharge. My boys especially loved the 'maze' of rooms downstairs and watching movies in the home theater room. My youngest was surprised by the number of porches the cabin had and we all appreciated the beautiful view. The leaves had just started to change, so it was absolutely breath taking. My only complaint was that the downstairs overhead light in the bunk bed room did not work, but a floor lamp had been provided. My boys only left the cabin the day of checkout if I promised we could come back and stay longer sometime soon at Eagle's Nest.

Nice place, but a few issues.
We really enjoyed our stay except for two things. First, the cabin right next door was being built so loud noises started very early in the morning. Not exactly the quiet mountain retreat we pictured. Secondly, the unit was fairly clean but when we went to use the dishes they looked like the hadn't been washed. Not a big problem because we just washed them ourselves, but still gross. <br/>

Nice cabin but expected more.
We had previously stayed at the Bear Foot Mountain Resort (booked through Elk Springs Resort) and our stayed was a perfect 10, so we had high expectations when staying at the Eagles Nest cabin. The location is closer to the downtown area so that was nice, however the construction next door created a very messy entrance and there's not really a mountain view, except for the 3rd floor terrace that has a partial mountain view... It's mainly a view of trees, whereas our previous cabin (Whispering Creek) had spectacular views straight to the mountains. The kitchen is well equipped however there are no plastic cups or bowls, everything is glass or metal so keep that in mind if you have children. The furniture was very well kept. Our biggest complaint is the bug problems in this cabin. Carpenter bees are eating away the frame of the kitchen window, we found a spider in the bed and our 4 yr old got bit by a tick inside the cabin! I understand that we were in the mountains but it seemed like there hadn't been any fumigation in a while. Again comparing it to our previous stay, we had NO bug problems before. Also the ladder of the bunk beds is not attached to the top bed so it was a safety concern when our daughter was climbing up and down. The cabin description also mentioned that there was a gaming console which was not true... All in all it has a good location to downtown; the booking/check-in process was a breeze thanks to Marty; the sauna was nice; the rest of the experience was average and the bugs where terrible. We would consider booking through Elk Springs Resort again, just not the Eagles Nest cabin.

Family Vacation
We had a great time. I gave a 5 star review, but there were the beginning stages of wear happening. One of the theatre chairs was broken, the upstairs king mattress was old, so you rolled when you slept, one of the tubs was missing the plug, the hot tub (while clean and working) had a broken lid assembly, so recovering it was a bit difficult, the pool table felt-cover was wrinkled, etc... signs of wear. However, everything was INCREDIBLY clean and was QUALITY furnishing, so our family had a 5 star experience. I would definitely recommend this cabin and the management. They encouraged us to leave a note with any recommended fixes, and I believe they will fix them.

My family and I were blown away by the eagles nest cabin. Absolutely gorgeous. From the wood work to the theater room to the relaxing views from the decks. Very clean, spacious and cozy. Gatlinburg is a little GEM of a town in the middle of nowhere so much to do. Cool little shops Tho it is a little pricey. People are so nice im not used to that begin from south Jersey lol. We loved it so much I looked in to buying a house there. Needless to say we will definitely be back

Eagles Nest Cabin
We had an incredible time during this vacation until the day of check out. Michelle from customer service contacted me by phone about bubbles coming out of the dishwasher. I apologized for any mess or inconvience that was caused by this. Her response was "I don't know why anyone would intentionally put dishsoap in the dishwasher" using a condescending and hateful tone. Neither myself or anyone in my party put dishwasher soap in the dishwasher. However, if that had happened obviously it would have been by mistake. I apologized again and told her we were 20 minutes away and would like to look at the damage and help clean up. She refused to let us see, yet charged my credit card on file for $75 immediately. I felt this was a dishonest and underhanded way to handle the situation. We loved the cabin and had talked all weekend about requesting the same one every four months. However, I absolutely will not stay in any of Elk Springs cabins again or recommend anyone else to solely based on how she handled the situation.

Couples 3-day Weekend Spectacular!
Perfectly wonderful cabin set up for 3 couples or for separating boisterous children from adults needing more quiet. The wide deck on all three levels had rocking chairs and safety railing. <br/>Three teachers worked together for 10 years and after retiring, moved to 3 different states. Now, the teachers and the spouses, meet for a 3-day weekend each year to catch up. This could not have been any better. It rained on Saturday, but that didn't matter at all!

Relaxing stay
We really enjoyed staying in Eaglesnest. It's very secluded and has all the amenities for a great stay. It was very comfortable and beautiful. Our one disappointment was that in the movie room they were only three of the kickback chairs, not six as in the picture. three were regular chairs that you would have at a movie theater. Not the end of the world but it is not what we expected. And we had to negotiate to see who got the good chairs! Also there were no oven mitts provided other than that the kitchen was well stocked. We ate in every night but the first. We suggest you check the grill as it didn't get very hot. And took a long time to warm up. but we would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

The theater chairs in all of our units are being replaced with the movie theater style as they are much more durable than the reclining ones. As these wear out and can no longer be repaired, they are all being replaced. I am sorry that you were disappointed and had to have negotiations over who got to sit in the good chairs. Eagles Nest-great place to stay!
Coffe pot broke on 3rd day, & someone promptly came to replace it. My mother-in-law did fall into bathtub; would recommend grab bars around tubs. Cabin was clean except greenery over cabinets in kitchen. I would recommend taking that out. We had a fabulous time & loved the cabin. My boys had just as much fun here as they did when we were out and about!

Gatlinburg Vacation
Cabin was very nice. Loved the theater room. Nice furnishing. The only complaint is - the mattresses were not very comfortable. Other than that, it was very nice.

We stayed at eagles nest, it was amazing. The cabin was everything we were looking forward to. The children enjoyed the game room while my husband enjoyed just relaxing. It's in a great location. I can't wait until we return, we are definitely booking with elks spring resort.

Unplug to Recharge at The Eagles Nest
We loved our stay at the Eagles Nest. This time it was just the two of us but we're already asking our adult kids to check their calendars so we can make it a family affair next time! We've traveled extensively and recognize a well appointed, clean and spacious place as a rare gem. This cabin provided the perfect atmosphere to retreat from our busy schedule, unplug and recharge. The Arts Community below the resort offered small shops, restaurants and friendly local residents. We are definitely returning for another visit.

Elks Springs getting complacent?
First, the good parts of this cabin was it is located in a cul-da-sac which limits the traffic around your cabin. Secondly even though there was a slight hiccup in check- in the representative from ESR handled it very nicely. This cabin is a very nice layout. <br/>Between my sister and I we have stayed at ESR 6 times, we take turns who is going to pay and I must say the past two times we have booked it seems as though they do not have the same excitement to get you to stay here. In the past we used to get great recommendations for different cabins seasonal specials or if we come in a day early usually they would make it worth our while to book an extra day, this does not happen anymore. I do not care about making price concessions but I do care that you want me to stay there and the attitude of "if you don't stay someone else will so no big deal." The sofa had a broken arm, there were multiple burned out light bulbs, and the jets for this particular hot tub did not work like a normal hot tub. Also the pictures for the movie theatre are not accurate, you have black seats in front that are quite uncomfortable. Lastly, I did not know this was a policy until I read the book in the cabin but ESR is against the right to carry a firearm. This is not publicly posted with a sign at the entrance nor a sticker on the cabin door so technically they cannot enforce but just for the simple fact that you cannot protect yourself and they do not believe in the second amendment will keep me from staying here in the future.

Having been a repeat guest of ours, you know this is not our standard, as you have enjoyed several stays with us in the past. We certainly hope we didn't lose your interest in Elk Springs permanently. While we can't prevent you from exercising your second amendment right, we can post certain rules pertaining to our properties in an effort to protect our guests. We have had multiple instances of irresponsible gun owners leaving their pistols behind upon checkout. This results in us having to contact the local sheriff's office to have them come to pick up the gun, as we can't ship it back to the owner. If our housekeeping staff didn't find the gun, the next guest could come in with a small child who did find the gun and we could have a catastrophic situation on our hands. So, please understand why we put this in our information packets. All of our specials are listed on our website, so we suggest that you look there and take advantage of the discounts available to you prior to booking. Our agents are not here to "sell" something to you, but to assist you in making and booking the perfect cabin for your getaway experience. The theater seats were changed out prior to your arrival and we have since added an updated photo. We apologize for the oversight, but the other chairs broke frequently and the movie-style seats are much less maintenance and last longer than any of the others we have tried. As far as the maintenance issues, please know that you can contact us 24/7 to handle any issues you may have with your stay and we will remedy them for you ASAP. Despite all of the negatives in your review, we hope you will consider a future stay with us.

Eagles Nest- Simply Perfect
The Elks Springs Resort went above and beyond to make our vacation perfect. The cabin was spotless. Everything we needed was there. The location was convenient to everything(shopping, dining, and hiking). Customer service and the maintenance department were very quick to respond and were helpful and super friendly (the arcade game was stuck on demo mode and our 11 year old was very appreciative for the quick fix). Eagles Nest was quiet, comfortable and has beautiful views. We will definitely be back.

Great Weekend with Great Friends
7 of my friends and I had an incredible weekend at Eagles Nest in Elk Springs Resort. The cabin was very nice and had everything we were looking for -- hot tub, theatre room, kitchen, etc. We loved the location and were easily able to travel into Gatlinburg for dinner and into the Smoky Mountains to hike. The staff was responsive when we had a maintenance request and constantly communicated with me regarding check in, check out, arrival information, etc. Would highly recommend staying at this cabin and look forward to going back!

A Wonderful, Relaxing Weekend in the Mountains!!
It was a very relaxing getaway. From the wonderful accommodations at the Eagle's Nest cabin, to the Haunted Mansion in Gatlinburg. The only downside was the shortness of the stay. Maintenance came twice, due to two very minor issues. One was a small leak, which they fixed in no time, the second was a lack of credits on the stand-up arcade game, a must for our small child. This was fixed in 30 minutes or less. Both times the gentleman was extremely courteous and fixed the problem (not really a problem, more of an inconvenience)very quickly. Now, the theater room was a huge highlight. I was unsure about paying the extra for this room, but we rented 7-8 movies and it was absolutely worth every penny. The whole family enjoyed the theater room at some time or another. The sauna and hot tub, we never used, but would have been great, had we a little more time to use them. The cabin was very conveniently located, so we could hop, skip and jump anywhere. I loved this place and will definitely use it again in the near future, I just wish we would have seen some bears.

It is a decent cabin for those that is not looking for luxury.
We were 3 couples with no kids. We stayed 3 nights and it was great, except the bedroom up stairs had a weird noises on the walls and the last night around 2 in the morning we saw a squirrel munk running across the room, my husband and his friend took care of it. My husband called the office they returned his ph call next morning but we were living already. <br/>anyway.

We can assure you, this is very uncommon for the squirrels to actually get inside the cabin. With the outside temperatures dropping, the squirrels do try to find any openings to get into the cabin for warmth. Our technicians regularly check the cabins to make sure that any openings found are sealed off. Once reported, we immediately sent our maintenance technician to the cabin to conduct a thorough search. We can assure you, no other animals were found and any openings found were once again sealed off. We sincerely apologize that you and your guests experienced this. Your safety and comfort is top priority to us. Our Customer Service Representatives answer the phones until midnight each night. From midnight until 8 am all calls are forwarded to our answering service. Any after-hour emergency calls are dispatched to one of our representatives to ensure that you can receive assistance if needed. We apologize for not returning the phone call until the next morning, we were unaware of the situation as no message was left. As an owner of a 2 bedroom cabin in Elk Springs we had to change up to a 3 bedroom to accommodate more teenagers for my daughter's 16th birthday weekend to the mountains. I found the cabin to be extremely comfortable (just like home) and the kids absolutely loved the downstairs with the movie theater, sauna, and hot tub. Thanks for making my little girl's birthday so memorable. Only downside is that we are now thinking about buying a larger cabin!

Rented the Take Your Breath Away cabin to celebrate my boyfriends 50th bday with another couple. Was disappointed because the cabin was damaged by the wind storm so we had to choose another cabin. The staff was very accommodating and called before our visit and was very patient while we looked through the various available cabins. We chose Eagles Nest which was a larger cabin and very nice and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dishwater and silverware. We had an awesome time and made memories that will last a lifetime! We did have a small mishap with hot water but the maintenance staff came within 30 minutes to repair.

Perfectly wonderful cabin set up for 3 couples or for separating boisterous children from adults needing more quiet. The wide deck on all three levels had rocking chairs and safety railing. <br/>Three teachers worked together for 10 years and after retiring, moved to 3 different states. Now, the teachers and the spouses, meet for a 3-day weekend each year to catch up. This could not have been any better. It rained on Saturday, but that didn't matter at all!

We really enjoyed staying in Eaglesnest. It's very secluded and has all the amenities for a great stay. It was very comfortable and beautiful. Our one disappointment was that in the movie room they were only three of the kickback chairs, not six as in the picture. three were regular chairs that you would have at a movie theater. Not the end of the world but it is not what we expected. And we had to negotiate to see who got the good chairs! Also there were no oven mitts provided other than that the kitchen was well stocked. We ate in every night but the first. We suggest you check the grill as it didn't get very hot. And took a long time to warm up. but we would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

We had an incredible time during this vacation until the day of check out. Michelle from customer service contacted me by phone about bubbles coming out of the dishwasher. I apologized for any mess or inconvience that was caused by this. Her response was "I don't know why anyone would intentionally put dishsoap in the dishwasher" using a condescending and hateful tone. Neither myself or anyone in my party put dishwasher soap in the dishwasher. However, if that had happened obviously it would have been by mistake. I apologized again and told her we were 20 minutes away and would like to look at the damage and help clean up. She refused to let us see, yet charged my credit card on file for $75 immediately. I felt this was a dishonest and underhanded way to handle the situation. We loved the cabin and had talked all weekend about requesting the same one every four months. However, I absolutely will not stay in any of Elk Springs cabins again or recommend anyone else to solely based on how she handled the situati

My family and I were blown away by the eagles nest cabin. Absolutely gorgeous. From the wood work to the theater room to the relaxing views from the decks. Very clean, spacious and cozy. Gatlinburg is a little GEM of a town in the middle of nowhere so much to do. Cool little shops Tho it is a little pricey. People are so nice im not used to that begin from south Jersey lol. We loved it so much I looked in to buying a house there. Needless to say we will definitely be back

We had a great time. I gave a 5 star review, but there were the beginning stages of wear happening. One of the theatre chairs was broken, the upstairs king mattress was old, so you rolled when you slept, one of the tubs was missing the plug, the hot tub (while clean and working) had a broken lid assembly, so recovering it was a bit difficult, the pool table felt-cover was wrinkled, etc... signs of wear. However, everything was INCREDIBLY clean and was QUALITY furnishing, so our family had a 5 star experience. I would definitely recommend this cabin and the management. They encouraged us to leave a note with any recommended fixes, and I believe they will fix them.

We had previously stayed at the Bear Foot Mountain Resort (booked through Elk Springs Resort) and our stayed was a perfect 10, so we had high expectations when staying at the Eagles Nest cabin. The location is closer to the downtown area so that was nice, however the construction next door created a very messy entrance and there's not really a mountain view, except for the 3rd floor terrace that has a partial mountain view... It's mainly a view of trees, whereas our previous cabin (Whispering Creek) had spectacular views straight to the mountains. The kitchen is well equipped however there are no plastic cups or bowls, everything is glass or metal so keep that in mind if you have children. The furniture was very well kept. Our biggest complaint is the bug problems in this cabin. Carpenter bees are eating away the frame of the kitchen window, we found a spider in the bed and our 4 yr old got bit by a tick inside the cabin! We really enjoyed our stay except for two things. First, the cabin right next door was being built so loud noises started very early in the morning. Not exactly the quiet mountain retreat we pictured. Secondly, the unit was fairly clean but when we went to use the dishes they looked like the hadn't been washed. Not a big problem because we just washed them ourselves, but still gross. <br/>

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Elk Springs Resort...Eagles Nest. A few minor issues kept me from rating this property very satisfied but they won't keep me from coming back again. They were constructing a new cabin next door to ours which I was not told about so we did not have the privacy we had hoped. Took us a while to figure out how to regulate the temperature on the bottom floor. It would be nice to build a platform for the back row of chairs in the movie room...hard to see over the front row. Even with these issues we would definitely come back.

We booked this cabin on a whim and ended up loving it. Everyone slept comfortably and enjoyed every aspect of the cabin. Appliances were updated and the theater room was definitely enjoyed by all. We felt very fortunate to be able to reserve this cabin as close to our arrival date as we did. The reservation process was great. Overall great experience.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME ON OUR YEARLY GIRLS TRIP. WE HAVE BEEN COMING TO THE SMOKIES FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND THIS WAS THE MOST PLEASANT EASY CHECK IN AND OUT WE HAVE EVER HAD. THE CABIN WAS MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN THE PICTURES ON THE WEB SITE. THE FURNITURE WAS VERY NICE AND COMFORTABLE. THE LOCATION IS WONDERFUL, CLOSE TO EVERYTHING BUT SO QUIET AND PEACEFUL.WE HAVE ALREADY TOLD FRIENDS AND RELATIVES HOW GREAT THIS RESORT TREATED US. The Eagles Nest was fabulous! It was everything we hoped for and more. Just three little things we would add; hooks or rack for towels in bathrooms, trashcans on each level and clothes hangers. The media room and rocking on the three decks was a little bit of heaven. Highly recommend!

We definitely enjoyed our stay. Our children had their own rooms. We had privacy. The sauna, hot tub and theatre were great. It was disappointing that the theatre did not run by cable. We had to go rent some movies to use it, but did so and it was great. Would love to come back again.

Cabin was just the right amount of room for 6 people to spread out. Jetted tubs in the bathrooms really need some bleach in the jets and filter as it looked as if they had black mold but other than that the cabin was clean. Downstairs was VERY cold no matter what we did and heater wouldn't go past 74, so I can't imagine being there in colder weather, it was 60's during the day and 40's at night. Theatre room was a huge hit. Overall it was a good time and no complaint to great that I wouldn't stay there again.

Eagles Nest is a great property in Elk Springs Resort. The view isn't quite what it was when the pictures were taken, but it's still a great secluded cabin with a nice view. We had 1 maint issue that was dealt with promptly. Great staff, awesome cabin ... we didn't want to leave, and will use Elk Springs again.

Cabin was exactly what we expected from looking at online photos. Cabin was very spacious with all the amenities we needed. We would definitely recommend staying in the Eagles Nest. The other cabins looked really nice too. Eagles nest is on a flat cul de sac with 3 other homes that aren't too close together. The only complaints I would submit are: 1. The theater is awesome with a huge screen and comfortable seating, but there is a $30 non-HD DVD player in it! Being that you could find a HD DVD players for under $100, it is totally ridiculous to have a gorgeous theater room but watching movies that have a low quality fuzzy picture. 2. I do believe the cabin is a good value, but the towels you are given in the bathrooms are so cheap, flimsy and small. I normally would never complain about something so petty, but the towels provided literally could almost be considered disposable.

This was a perfect cabin for two families of five. Kids loved the movie room and the hot tub. Great view and location.<br/><br/>Only suggestion would be a noisemaker or fan for the main floor bedroom as you can hear movement and voices from the top floor bedroom.<br/><br/>Other than that...a perfect rental! One night we were stopped by an unmarked car and man with no Elk Springs identification claiming to be security. Elk Springs did not notify us of any security that may stop us, we were alarmed by this.

We frequent the Smoky Mountains and have stayed in different places. Overall, we liked our stay in Eagle's Nest but I have suggestions that would have made our stay better. The linens on the bed were enough to make me not rebook. Luckily, I brought my own! The sheets were thin, had hair on them and were appeared to be low quality. The pillows were very unpleasant with many stains. I understand the covers for the bed are chosen in order to go along with the theme of the cabin but they were dark and dingy and were not clean. The lamp in the downstairs was not operational. There was not trash can in the downstairs bathroom. The carpet in the downstairs was not clean and was pulling away from the tile at the entrance to the bathroom and it was sharp to step on. The sauna that was advertised was not operational. At booking I asked if the windows were covered because it didn't appear they were on the online photos. The reservationist assured me they were. The bedroom windows were covered but I would sugg

Our overall stay was good, but we had a few things that were disappointing. The first was the chalet construction. We've stayed with Elk Springs before and that chalet (Southern Philosophy) was beautiful, but this one looked like it was thrown together. Tile work was bad, trim and finish carpentry was low quality. An example was nails sticking through the ceiling in the kitchen. Secondly, the water pressure was terrible. The jacuzzis couldn't even be used because the water took FOREVER to fill the tubs. The downstairs shower had the best pressure. Lastly, the WiFi didn't work either. We contacted the maintanence about these issues. They tried to reset the WiFi, but they never responded to us concerning the water pressure. We had such a great experience w/Elk Springs in the past, but we were disappointed with the quality of this property and the lack of help from the maintenance department this time. This experience leaves us guessing whether to stay with Elk Springs again in the future.

We loved our stay in Eagles Nest. The view of the mtn. is decent on a clear day. Plenty of privacy on the decks. Beds were very comfy. Plenty to do in cabin during our free time. Upstairs bath did not drain properly, extra blankets needed laundered and coffee pot still had coffee from previous guests. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and will come back.

Marty was incredibly helpful with our last minute reservations! We are so glad we did! Eagles Nest is wonderfully appointed. The kitchen could use some hot mits (safety)and a measuring cup. The home theatre was great, but the video quality could be improved w/ a HDMI cable. The setting is perfect for relaxing!!
