Not the best experience
The cabin was absolutely gorgeous. The staff friendly. We showed up and they were STILL cleaning! We had let them know the arrival time prior. Our lock code didn’t work. Called, the new one didn’t work. Twice. Finally the cleaners gave us theirs so we could get in. The pull out had dirty, seriously NASTY, sheets left on it. No spare sheets, pillows, or blankets. Called for yet another code and this to be fixed.......code didn’t work until the 3rd day, new bedding wasn’t delivered until the next afternoon. Lights were burned out everywhere. Opened cabinets to cook and there are cobwebs all over the inside and dust on the pots. For the price for a week I was absolutely unsatisfied. I would not recommend Elk Springs to anyone.

Beautiful View
Contactless Check in and out was very professional. If I had any questions or concerns they responded quickly through text. Even though the road to the cabin is nail biting, the view was phenomenal. The cabin was in excellent condition and I loved the decor. My only complaint is the light globes over the dining room table needs to be cleaned out.

Unforgettable Getaway
Let’s first say directions were spot on and great communication with Elks Resort.<br/>We have been to multiple cabin rentals and this one was one of the best . From the smallest of details yo the beautiful cabin. View was spectacular. Would definitely book again!!!

A great Getaway
Cabin was exactly what we needed to recharge. I have a 4 star rating because charcoal picnic grill and lack of utensils made it challenging to cook. Lastly, waster pressure could use some improvement.

Needs Work
Cabin is in need of updates. Hot tub back jets didn't work, they could not get it fixed suppose to issue credit. Beds are awful, no christmas decorations up just thrown in a closet, dart board has damaged darts, pool table very worn, and living room furniture needs updated badly worn. Cleaning crew needs to do a better job.

Beautiful location
Elk Springs Resort was wonderful to work with. They communicate promptly and found us replacement lodging when our rental cabin was sold within two weeks of arrival. The cabin we stayed in was in a great location: very scenic and quiet. Things that could be better cared for: refrigerator and freezer were not completely cleaned; mattresses are desperately overdue for replacement; linens have a cheap quality to them; decks furniture could have been wiped down prior to arrival; coffee maker and toaster are tired and kitchen items are cheap and not matching. Although it was indicated there would be a starter supply of laundry soap, there was none. With a few small updates and better attention to detail, this cabin can be very close to ideal.

Never Stay at Moonshiner Legacy - BEWARE
I have stayed so many times with ELK Springs and here is the issue with this property - and am sure many more to come as they have now become very big, and quality is bad now.<br/><br/>What went well<br/>1) Smooth Check in check out process<br/>2) Customer service attentive and available 24/7<br/>3) Great location<br/><br/>What went bad<br/>1) We come in and first thing we see is less dinner plates - we are all hungry - there were just two. If you know 4 guests are coming you should check that minimum<br/>2) The worst beds on earth - cheap spring - the amount of money they charge they can use it to get some good beds just for 250$. We all got shoulder and back aches.<br/>3) the upstairs bed slid down when i just sat on it - i had a nightmare of my life. Some how my husband just fixed it. this is just on the day of arrival<br/>4) by night time, we all shower ready to tuck in, and find a stingy smell in the restroom. first we thought it must be us by using toilets. Then the smell increased through the night, that it became unbearable to sleep<br/>5) the person comes next day to check the toilet and shower, says they have not been cleaned well enough, takes out good amount of dirt. We still continue to smell it. Finally got airsick from a store - So pls do if you rent this property.<br/>6) SECURITY HAZARD - no door locks on the top patio door. i dont even know how they are allowed to keep this cabin open. We tied a rope and put a chair for the night time. <br/>7) TV downstairs some times work and some times does not. Most remote batteries are off - would n't you as a property management really keep a check on these items. then the lady tells me bunch of steps to see if it works - for a two day vacation imagine dealing through the 7 things above. Seemed like am there to inspect and not enjoy with amount of issues.<br/>8) thankfully i always get my cook ware - this place was worst - rotten plastic handles, less spoons, only one or two cook ware.<br/><br/>This place and

Great location
Overall rather happy with the cabin. The cleaning could use an upgrade as there were cobwebs inside the cabin and dead insects on the interior window frames. Exterior needs to be restained. Mountain view is limited but not bad.

Great escape!
It was clean, and stocked properly. I thought the location was very convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The cabin was cozy, had beautiful views, and was fun even for my teenagers. We really enjoyed our visit, and would stay again!

Overall, great stay!
When we arrive (myself, husband, 2 kids) the floors wasn’t swept and it was evident right away- I had to sweep before the kids came in. The downstairs bedroom had no power- I contacted the desk and they sent someone out within an hour and got us all fixed up- I’m guessing a breaker. No big deal being the response was quick. What you don’t see in the pictures, is your at the end of a cult a sack with two other cabins( one beside you, one in front). Thankfully we had quite neighbors and the front view of the mountains so it wasn’t bad. Other than the items listed, out stay was pleasant as expected and overall we truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend Moonshiners Legacy! Also want to add- LOCATION! The cabin was just on the outskirts of Gatlinburg.. away from the busy streets. Literally 20 minutes away from the popular cities- Pigeon Forge, National Park, etc.

Back Up Cabin, but Better Location
We were very excited to book the Misty Ridge Cabin at Legacy Mountain, but unfortunately the Christmas snow storm knocked out power there. Luckily, there was a cancellation at Moonshiner Legacy that we were able to secure after a few days in limbo. But it was for a day shorter than we originally planned. While Moonshiner did not have all the extras and amenities that Misty Ridge did, it was still a nice cabin. This was our first time visiting the area and I would say that after having visited Moonshiner is in a more convenient location than Misty Ridge. Moonshiner is well equipped and the built in outdoor charcoal grill, while small, was adequate for our stay. <br/><br/>One thing I will note is that Elk Springs employees working the text line were very friendly and responsive and I found that the best way to communicate with them as I never was able to reach them by phone the couple of times I tried to call. I think they were dealing with a lot of issues due to the power outages. <br/><br/>Small issues that need to be addressed at Moonshiner Legacy is that dart board in the gameroom loft is completely not functional as the data have all come apart. They could also use some new pool sticks, but it was fine for our small family. <br/><br/>Two small overall complaints with Elk Springs I have was that I was still charged the $50 administrative fee on the cancelled reservation that was because of the power outage. I’m sure it’s in the contract but doesn’t seem fair to charge that when it is the rental company cancelling the reservation and not the renter. And I had inquired whether we could get moved to the other cabin midweek (and stay the additional night we had originally planned) but was told power was still out several days later. Everything was open in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge so I question this.<br/><br/>Nevertheless, Moonshiner Legacy is a good cabin in a good location that was better than having to head home.

Nice Cabin

Our cabin was nice, the view was amazing! The drive to every where was super convenient. Our beds were the worst! They are really hard, the water pressure in the showers weren’t great, some of the jets in the hot tub didn’t work, the floor in the bottom bathroom was sticky, pool sticks were broken so we had to share a stick, and it didn’t look like it the rugs had been vacuumed. It was very affordable but we most likely won’t stay here again.

Good Location but Saggy Mattresses, Lack of Sheets & Blankets
The location was wonderful and the cabin space was good for our needs! The management company was very responsive and informative. However, both bedrooms had mattresses that were incredibly saggy. It was like a very old waterbed where when a person moves an inch, the whole bed wiggles and rocks. My husband had to sleep on the couch because of this. There were no sheets or blankets for the couch even though the ad for this cabin said "pull out couch" which implies there is bedding to use the couch as a bed. There was not, so he had to sleep on it as a couch and not a pull out bed. There was also evidence that many areas of the cabin had not been cleaned in a very long time. We went to close one of the heat/air register vents on the bathroom floor and saw that it likely had never ever been cleaned - there was coagulated dust, goo, etc. that was visible while standing and looking at the vent. Also, the knives didn't appear to have ever been cleaned. We pulled one out to cut open a package and it was crusty and filthy.

Nice log cabin but not quite home away from home
Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and front Mountain View. Pool table and dart games were fun family times. Small washer and dryer with only one packet of laundry detergent provided, bring your own if you need more than one wash during your stay. Also bring your own seasonings if you plan to cook in the cabin, kitchen knife was not sharp. Don’t remember if they provided toiletries but we had our own fortunately. Clean place and comfortable beds. Customer service was great, they text the next day to check on you. Fast WiFi.

Weekend Trip
Overall, I would say the rental experience was pretty good. I was in communication with a customer contact rep through text which was very convenient. Although we had a delayed check in, they allowed us to check out a little later which was a great comp. The cabin is beautiful, it’s clean. I would recommend putting the hot tub on the higher level because it was a little scary being on the porch and...bears lol but overall, it was a great experience.

Moonshiners Legacy
The cabin was beautiful, but there were no blankets to be found. The view was disappointing as you had only had a partial view and the view is from the front of the house. The upstairs bed kept falling apart which was quite annoying. I would book a different cabin next visit.

Nice Cabin but needs a little TLC
I stayed at Moonshiners Legacy over the 4th of July Holiday week. I have stayed in Gatlinburg a few times previously and this trip was put together at the last minute. I normally stay at another cabin resort in the area, but there was no availability.<br/><br/>While this cabin is nice - it is certainly in need of some TLC. The furniture in the game room (specifically the ottoman that goes with the chair) should really be removed. It is clear that the pictures on the website were taken a while ago.<br/><br/>I think the kitchen should be provisioned better as well - with a better variety of kitchen utensils.<br/><br/>The linens on the bed in the downstairs bedroom also need updated - I had king size pillows, with regular size pillow cases (so the pillow case didn't nearly cover the pillow).<br/><br/>We had a nice visit and the location was good but I would not choose to stay at this cabin next time.

A fantastic getaway!!!
This was my first visit to Gatlinburg and this property suited the needs of my family perfectly. The property is about 7 to 8 minutes from downtown. I did not have any issues in during my stay. We had driven from Memphis and the the spa was kept at a good temperature to relax after a long drive.The cabins were well maintained and it was very clean when we arrived. We lost our way using using the wase app but google maps directed us correctly.I would positively recommend this property.

Smoky Mtn Gem! Wish we could stay longer...
Beautiful gem just a few minutes from downtown Gatlinburg! Super clean and cozy!<br/><br/>We decided to end our stay in Myrtle Beach a day early and found this gem last minute! Adorable cabin perfectly suited for our group of 6...we enjoyed the pool table and hot tub each night after our daily activities. <br/><br/>In fall/winter, you may need 4 wheel drive to get up the windy road...but SO worth it! Grocery store is 5 mind away!

Weekend getaway
Enjoyed the cabin and view! Not far from the attractions which was nice. Cabin could use a deep cleaning. Looked like some pet hairs on brown comforter. And need some new pots and pans. The nonstick is coming off and couldn’t cook with them. But overall a nice stay.

Beautiful view! Beautiful Mountain View
The cabin was beautiful. The views were amazing!! Everything worked properly. The beds were not the most comfortable but not terrible either. We had an issue with Asian beetles inside the cabin. This was our second time renting this cabin and the beetles were there both times. We called to report the issue and the resolution we were offered was that someone could come and vacuum them for us. We declined and just continued to sweep up piles of them each day. I would not recommend this property because of the Asian beetle issue but other than that it is a wonderful cabin.

Moonshiner's Legacy
Was an absolutely wonderful time spent at the Moonshiner's Legacy cabin. It was clean and stocked with the majority of things we needed. Heating/cooling was perfect. The fireplace was cozy and the hot tub was clean and up to temp when we got there. It's a place that we would definitely come back to again. The views are nice however you do have 2 other cabins in close proximity to Moonshiner's Legacy but we never felt that we were crowded out by the neighbors. One note is that the grill outdoors is an open charcoal grill (like parks use) and not a gas grill so if weather is inclement you will have to default to cooking indoors

Weekend Getaway
The amazing views and cozy cabin added up to a wonderful long weekend getaway. We were able to enjoy the hot tub in the morning, shop and tour DT Gatlinburg during the day and ended each evening with a glass of wine by the fireplace. We look forward to our next get-away!

Great Weekend Away
My boyfriend and I spent two nights here and loved every minute of it! Situated atop a windy mountain road dotted with other cabins the view from the porch is phenomenal in all directions. The cabin itself was perfect, we enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and fireplace. You’re only a 10 minute drive to the main drag of Gatlinburg but her to enjoy the peace of being up in the mountains away from it all. We plan to make this a yearly trip!

Beautiful view, great cabin!
I visited recently with my family of 4 plus my in-laws. The cabin was the perfect size for the 6 of us. The kids (9 & 12) loved challenging us and each other to a games of pool, and the hot tub offered relief to our sore muscles after our adventures near Gatlinburg. Loved how close to everything the cabin was. The cabin was very clean, beds were comfortable and was very peaceful. The only issue we had was with getting service in the downstairs bedroom tv. we will definitely look to this cabin and Elk Springs for our next trip.

A Beary exciting vacation!
Our family had an amazing time in the Smokey Mountains and we certainly plan on doing it right there again. We had the pleasure of seeing 3 bears in our neighbor which was one of many animals we witnessed up while staying at Moonshiners Legacy. We were so excited!! Mountain peace

Moonshiners Legacy Review
Very good location and overall a very positive experience. The only thing I would seriously recommend are two new mattresses for the beds. They are awful. So although our overall stay was good, not getting a good nights sleep was unfortunate.

A stay at Moonshiners Legacy equals a fantastic mountain vacation
We were extremely impressed with Moonshiners Legacy. It looked exactly like the pictures, the fireplace was easy to use and the hot tub was relaxing. We enjoyed the loft with the pool table and the deck overlooking a beautiful mountain view. The only advice I would give to someone staying here is to bring extra towels and shampoo. I would recommend the Moonshiners Legacy to anyone, and we would definitely stay here again!

Great stay

Excellent getaway for 2

Moonshine legacy disappointment
When you select a cabin on line it's very hard not knowing what you will get and the costs involved. Very disappointed in this cabin and I have stayed at 6 cabins over the last 10 years in the area. Nail heads were exposed all over the deck making in unsafe, deck and home needed staining, not as clean as one would expect, bedding, towels and wash cloths were very rough, bedroom pillows were terrible to sleep on. Water was leaking down on our food in the frig, sewer gas smell from sinks and shower drains. I would not recommend this cabin to anyone.<br/>

Smoky mountain getaway
We had a wonderful stay, cabin was perfect for our family and location was ideal. However, cabin cleanliness was our only issue. Numerous dead bugs in chandelier over dining table, toilet in downstairs master bathroom was dirty Upon arrival, And a dirty sock and nerf bullet were found in living room under coffee table when we arrived. Toilet seat in master bathroom needs to be replaced as well- it was very loose and discolored. But besides these issues, we had a fantastic time and cabin was lovely.

Excellent getaway!!!
I took my kids here for a long weekend since we haven’t been able to travel as usual. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous!! It had everything we needed and very spacious. There wasn’t any problems finding the cabin. Shortly after getting there I received a call from a customer rep making sure everything was ok. We had a great time on the strip. Plus it was less than 10 minutes from the cabin. We are at Smith and Son while walking the strip. Great food and service!!We will most definitely make this an annual trip. Oh and waking up and seeing the mama bear and her cubs walking around was awesome too. We were all in awe!!!

Quick weekend
This was a gift. We stayed in Moonshiners Legacy. The cabin was very clean . We had plenty of linens. The view was great, even when it was overcast. The hot tub was a nice asset.

Top of the Hill in Moonshiners
We arrived at the cabin after a tedious drive. We were very pleased at the setting. Amazing scenery and lovely surroundings. We started the ice maker and after about an hour opened the fridge. Water was pouring into the fridge from the icemaker. Ice in bottom of fridge but none in freezer. This needs to be corrected. Cabinet doors and table were very sticky and/or greasy. Other than this, everything was wonderful. Thank you .<br/>

On Top of the Mountain
Moonshiner's Legacy was at the top of a curvy mountain road and it's location only had 2 other cabins near by. The cabin was nice for a small family get away. I did not give it 5 stars due to some upkeep areas. Huge cobwebs were on the vaulted ceiling in the bedroom and behind the bathroom doors seemed to have not been cleaned in years. There was no propane grill at this location, and to get to the hot tub you had to go out the front door and walk around to the side of the cabin. It would have been nice to have better access to the hot tub. The furniture was very nice. I love Attic Heirlooms and it was throughout this cabin.

We equip each of our cabins with grills, depending on local ordinances and owner preference. We find that most of our guests have a preference, whether it is propane or charcoal. The majority of our cabins have hot tubs that are located on the back decks of the cabins. There are a few that have exceptions, this cabin being one. While we can understand that this may not be ideal for you, we have received positive feedback regarding the hot tub being away from the cabin so that they are able to enjoy the hot tub without disturbing the other guests. Again, this is personal preference. What may be ideal for one is not for ideal for everyone. We hope that you will consider staying with us on your next visit to Gatlinburg. Please give us a call when you are ready to start planning your vacation. Fantastic
Our stay was so very nice. Relaxing & beautiful. The cabin was very clean and orderly, the staff was extremely easy to get a hold of and very pleasant and accommodating, from the very minute I booked right down to the minute we left. I had to call the office for a few little issues and they had maintenance out within the hour. The people were all so friendly and nice. I am so happy we found this place. We have a 17 and almost 14 year old and they said they had a nice time and loved the cabin, pool table and hot tub.Next time I would definitely stay a few days longer. We wished the cabin had a gas grill though. We would love to come back !

Moonshiner's Legacy
Our family of 4 (2 teenager boys) stayed 4 nights and enjoyed this cabin very much. The boys played pool almost every night and we all relaxed in the hot tub after long days spent hiking or exploring the tourist attractions. The cabin was not too far from anything, although definitely not within walking distance. The view was amazing and the beds were comfy. Overall, this was a great experience and we would definitely use elk springs again.

Great stay at Moonshiners Legacy!
We found our cabin just as it was described online. With only one small exception, the dart board was not electronic ??. Everything was clean and well maintained and ready for guest. There were no siigns of precious guest, it was like we stepped into our own home. There were special folding of bath linens also, a Swan on first floor bed and a heart ?? on the second floor bed. We were notified at noon that we could check in and we were delighted at the entire check in and out procedure. Not only would we recommend this cabin to others but we WILL be back.

Highly recommend
We arrived to learn our cabin could not be used (a bathroom was out of order). The management allowed us to move to an equally nice cabin and still use the gas grill at the cabin we originally rented because it was the selling point of the one we booked and we had already purchased food for the week. Both cabins were clean, very nice and well stocked from what we could tell. Moonshiner Legacy was very nicely decorated and accomodating, but it really lacked comfortable beds and couches, and could really use upgrades in that department. Otherwise, we loved everything! We will gladly stay with this property company again but would prefer a different cabin simply because of the uncomfortable beds.

Life's a Bear and Moonshiner's Legacy both are owned by the same family, so it is difficult to compare apples to oranges here. It was a very nice stay. We really liked our cabin. It was clean and comfortable! The only strange thing I noticed was that there was an envelope for a tip, I'm not sure who the money was for or how much is appropriate to leave because I have never seen that before in a rental??

Beautiful Views!!
The property was very pretty, amazing views, and very clean. The cabin was not far at all from Gatlinburg strip. The road right to the cabin is VERY curvy but there wasn't a lot of traffic on it so it was managable. The pool table was very nice up in the loft, overlooking the beautiful scenary. Can't wait to stay again!

Great Cabin!
We had a great time during our stay at Moonshiner's Legacy. The cabin was in a great location, very easy to get where you wanted to go. The house was clean and comfy and the hot tub worked great! We had a couple of burned out light bulbs and the property management company had them replaced very quickly. Management company was very easy to deal with. The only negative I will say is that the house next door is rather close. Luckily the loud neighbors were only there for one night!

Great location!
We had so much fun! We were close to everything! The cabin had everything we needed! We enjoyed Christmas at Dollywood. Can't wait to go back! We drove into the park and saw a bear and lots of Elk! We would book this cabin again!

Beautiful cabin with a beautiful view!
Everything was as listed, clean & well-stocked. We had an outstanding time on our short visit. There was an issue with the tv, when I called they had maintence out very quickly to take care of it.

Anniversary Weekend interrupted
This is the second time we stayed at Moonshine Legacy, came back because we loved the location. It was our anniversary weekend, hot tub was not working for 2 days and fan above pool table was not working either, spent my anniversary with Property management people there trying to fix both, then they had to return a second day, then hot tub was cold, so no hot tub until day 3. I requested a manager connect me, but have yet to hear from anyone.

Tammy, we appreciate your feedback and are very sorry the hot tub was an issue during your stay. However, to be fair, we do document all communication when there is a guest complaint. You arrived to your cabin on the evening of 4/27 and called at 8:56 pm to report the hot tub not working. At 9:27 pm, maintenance found the motor to be extremely hot and it would require an outside vendor to fix the problem. At approximately 4 p.m. the next afternoon, our vendor installed a $429 part and had your hot tub working for you. Giving it time to heat up, you should have been able to use it that evening. You went less than 24 hours without the use of a hot tub. Our rental agreement states that we do not refund for non-working amenities. However, I asked our accounting department to refund you $50 for the inconvenience this caused you and it was processed the day after you checked out and refunded back to you. On 5/3, you called asking to speak with management because you were not happy with the refund amount. Customer service explained to you that we normally don't refund per our rental agreement, but we did do something as a good will gesture anyway. A message was sent to my assistant manager to contact you, however, this contact was delayed for several days and for that I do apologize. We had hurricane force winds blow through this area wreaking havoc with downed trees, power lines and leaving thousands without electricity. To say the least, we had our hands full and were in crisis mode with our resort being without power for 3 days. Again, our sincere apologies. As you noted, you have stayed with us in the past and loved the cabin. It is our wish that you can be understanding about our refund policies and hopefully continue to do business with us in the future.

Nice Cabin w/ a few problems
Overall, I would say we had an enjoyable experience. The cabin was clean and a great size for our family. It's location to Gatlinburg was also a plus. However, in order to maximize the view of the mtns, the windows that face the street did not offer much privacy at night. Great during the day, but it would have been nice to have blinds/curtains on all downstairs windows since anyone in the cove could look right in at night. Also, on windy nights, we could feel air blowing in between the planks/boards in the walls so their seems to be some structural issues as well. We've stayed in cabins before and never had this happen. The hot tub is also dated and extremely loud when the motor is on even when you are inside the cabin. The furniture was also showing age and needs updating.

Spring Break Getaway
Just the vacation my family needed. Cabin was nice and had a fantastic view. My 2 complaints are that the couch in the living room is broken and needs replaced and when we arrived, all of the deck furniture was placed inside the cabin and I had to carry it all outside both upper and lower deck. Other than that, this place was great.

The cabin was stained just prior to your arrival and the vendor apparently moved everything inside the cabin and we weren't aware that they did not move it back. We wish you would have contacted our office and we could have sent maintenance out to move the furniture back for you. We are getting the couch replaced right away. We weren't aware that it was in need of replacement. We do regular maintenance and QA checks of our cabins, however, we don't spend as much time in our cabins as our guests and sometimes things can be overlooked until guests like you report them. Awesome Cabin, Awesome View
My family and I had the best time visiting Gatlinburg and Moonshiner's Legacy was a big reason for that. The cabin was beautiful and the view from the porch and balcony was breathtaking. The cabin was perfect and just as I was told it would be. The kids enjoyed every moment we spent there, especially the hot tub. My only advice about the cabin to make sure you follow the directions that are emailed to you on how to get there because your GPS will send you to the wrong neighborhood!

Amazing calm vacation!

Beautiful cabins!!
We really had a great time at Moonshiners legacy! Very clean and we'll equipped kitchen was a plus. Only issue we had was the ceiling fan in the lower bedroom would only work on the low speed. Mountain Comfort

Great location - Second time staying here

Beautiful House
Except for having to buy more toilet paper, the house was beautiful and immaculate. We had 5 staying at the rental and had plenty of room. The one thing that was outstanding was how clean every room was. The upstairs bathroom did have a sewer odor, that was a little much. The road driving up to the house was scary at night. You had to drive really slow as to make sure you didn't drive off the road. The location is in between Pidgeon Forge and Gatlinburg which was very convenient. Very close to the Smoky Mountain Park for hiking.

The unit was neat and clean, I would love to stay there again and recommend to others.Everything was as expected, except the griller. I was under impression that i will have a gas griller inhouse. But this unit was having only charcoal. Other that that everything was perfect.

Moonshiners Cabin
We just stayed 6 nights in moonshiners cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful. The interior needs updating including both bedroom televisions and the sleeper sofa in the living room. The views are from the front porch and were awesome. The drive up to the cabin is very windy and our entire family got motion sickness going up and down daily. It took us about 20-25 minutes from cabin to downtown Gatlinburg. We would not stay in this cabin again because of the drive up and down and the outdated electronics.

Great Cabin makes a Nice Vacation
Moonshiners Legacy was a great cabin. As advertised and very well maintained. Kitchen was pretty well stocked and beds were pretty comfortable. The pull out sofa was not worthy of sleeping on. Very uncomfortable, we brought an air mattress and used that anyway. Everything was clean and well maintained. There were a couple jets not working on the hot tub but overall it was clean and worked. <br/><br/>Check-in and Checkout via text msg was easy and we even received a call during the booking process for confirmation. Couldn't have been easier. <br/><br/>Views were ok. It was overcast but the trees were a bit more grown than in the online photos so view was a bit limited. <br/><br/>Overall, great cabin and would stay again.

Good vacation
It was a very good experience. Better than any hotel experience. I would recommend. Only negatives were the living room furniture was very worn, uncomfortable and the dart board needed replacing desperately. (Part of the reason the house was chosen). Overall much better than the place we stayed in before.

Moonshiner's Legacy is a beautiful cabin and it was extremely clean. It's nicely situated on top of a hill away from the crowds. It is, however, located in a cul-de-sac with two other cabins. And while the front porches (upper and lower) have fantastic views of the mountains, the neighbors next door are very close. Unfortunately during our stay, that cabin was inhabited by loud partiers, who blasted their music day and night. Other than that, we'd definitely return to this location. The beds are comfortable and the furnishings are nice. Each bedroom has a tv with cable, though we had very spotty reception in the living room, mostly only getting a channel or two. It was so nice to have a pool table and we played quite a bit. It's a good idea to arrive during the day the first time you see the cabin as the mountain drive can be a bit confusing at night. Once you see it in the daytime, it's much easier to navigate any time of the day. We look forward to our return to Gatlinburg and to Moonshiner's Legacy.

This was our third time at an Elk Springs property and it was great. The cabins was wonderful, location was great and we had a great time. The only thing keeping the rating from being a five across the board is the outdated televisions (big boxes with VHS players) and the satellite TV working sporadically the one time we tried to use it. Pool table in loft got a lot of use, as did the furniture on the balcony outside the loft. Overall, great experience. Will be back a fourth time.

We had a great time. The cabin was clean and exactly as pictured on the website. Great location and beautiful view. I do have a big complaint about our stay. We checked in on Thursday evening and had SERIOUS issues with our cable. My husband and his father are avid golfers and it was US Open weekend. We called about the cable, someone came out that night was really nice, but said that Charter would need to fix the issue. Someone came out on Friday, but they were NOT from Charter, it was another maintenance guy who stated that the problem could not be fixed by them, but by Charter. We had horrible cable service from check in 6/18 to check out 6/22 and they were able to watch some of the final round on Sunday evening through blurred lines. This was very disappointing since I booked the cabin based on the fact that it had cable and I knew that my husband wanted to watch it on his 40th Birthday and Father's Day weekend. :(

Very disappointed there was no tub. We have 2 small children and very hard to do baths. We feel like that was misrepresented. The outlet in one of the bathrooms didn't work and there was a bit of a pest problem. Left a message of issues at checkout, but did not hear back. Uncomfortable with the guest in the surrounding cabins as well, but don't wish to elaborate on that. We had a fun trip, just wished we were in a different cabin.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the cabin was when we first walked in. It was everything the pictures showed and more. We had a couple of small maintenance issues that were handled very quickly by Elk Springs and we were checked on a couple of times to make sure all was well. My wife and our kids all agreed that we would want to come back and we would want to stay here again next time. We spent most of our time in either the cabin or the park. (more than the built up strip in Gatlinburg.) It was nice being away from the commercial areas but yet still only being ten minutes from anything you might want. Thanks so much for a great vacation! Recommendations: driving up to Cingman's Dome; driving over to Cherokee afterwards and seeing a herd of Elk; driving to Cade's Cove where we saw a lot of nature to include a Black Bear; and last but not least riding horses in the hills with Smokey Mountain Riding Stables just a few minutes away.

Great experience with Elk Springs. The reservation process was easy and the cabin was amazing! About 10-15 minutes from the main drag in Gatlinburg and a fantastic view from both the upper and lower floors. We used a Groupon and that wasn't a problem at all. I came across Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals through Groupon. We had not been on a real vacation in a couple of years. I really like the fact it was so close to everything, but it didn't seem so when you were there. The view was beautiful; Elk Springs resort was very professional and called twice to make sure everything was OK. The property was clean and the cabin was beautiful. The Park Grill in Gatlinburg was great as well as the moonshine we got to sample and buy at Doc Collier Moonshine from Mary. There were other moonshine venues, but this was our favorite. We left wanting to come back and try the winery's on our next trip. Good memories

We've stayed at Elk Springs rentals before, this time we stayed in the Moonshiner's Legacy unit. The cabin was beautiful, clean, had a good view. Some things were different from the description from the website; there was no gas grill, the fire pit was a community spot, the kitchen wasn’t as well equipped as other units, and the dart board didn't work at all. We had a very enjoyable time but would definitely look at other rental units for our needs.

The cabin was exactly as pictured on the website. Great for our purpose, a weekend away from family responsibility where we could catch up on each other's lives. The beds were comfortable and hot tub was a wonderful. we're already planning for next year!

We loved Moonshiner's Legacy cabin! It was clean, tastefully decorated, spacious and was situated with a lovely view. Our original cabin had a maintenance issue and we were immediately directed to this cabin (they gave us two choices!). The cabin was conveniently located, but away from the busy tourist area.<br/>We visited the Great Smoky Mountain Ntl. Park, hiked some trails, visited the shops, went to the Dixie Stampede and ate at some great restaurants. We especially enjoyed Calhoun's Restaurant in Gatlinburg.<br/>There is so much to do in this area - we would love to visit again and would definitely want to stay in a cabin with Elk Springs Resort-they provided us with excellent customer service!

House was beautiful and clean. Excellent location. Only have 2 recommendations, cable tv did not get any channels in upstairs bedroom and service was often disrupted in main living area . Dart board in game room would have been fun but it is old and pieces fell off board when we opened it. Overall a great experience and view was great off the decks. Hot was nice too. Very relaxing stay.

My overall experience was okay. The cabin needs to be updated. The second night of our stay, we got locked out of the cabin. The code would not work. We called customer service and no one answered. When the lady finally called back the next morning, she was very rude and was not concerned or helpful at all.

The view here was stunning. I enjoyed relaxing in the rocking chairs on the upper balcony each morning with a cup of coffee and at night sitting there gazing at the stars in the clear night sky. It was peaceful and amazing. We hope to go back.

This home was equipped with almost everything my home has in it. The layout was perfect for a family of four with one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs. I loved the deck off of the game room upstairs, what a wonderful view of the smokey mountains. We all enjoyed the stay and would love to return again soon!

We had a wonderful time in Moonshiner's Legacy cabin. It was a very clean, modern, well-stocked cabin with a full kitchen, tv/dvd, hot tub, pool table, and a great view! Customer service was excellent, and there are discounts to be had. The cabin was on a cul-de-sac with three other cabins but still got the off-the-beaten path feel to it. It's about a mile up the mountain, about 5 minutes from town and a a grocery store. Our family of 4 fit comfortably. You could probably get 6 in comfortably, and 8 with an air mattress for more lodging. Reserve this cabin with confidence - it was an amazing stay, with comfy beds, a washer and dryer, and gorgeous scenery. Would love to return to this vacay destination!

We were very pleased! Beautiful surroundings and nice clean cabin. We loved the peaceful quiet cove were we could spend time alone with family. Only drawback was we had a little trouble finding our cabin. The staff quickly fixed that by talking us to the location.

My family spent three glorious nights in Moonshiner's Legacy, and I am so happy that we chose to stay. Not only was there a beautifully serene view from our cabin of the Smokey Mountains, but the cabin was nice and secluded with only two other cabins neighboring. The cleanliness of the cabin is also noteworthy. The cabin is also conveniently located near downtown Gatlinburg which was a huge plus. I will be back again!

We enjoyed our stay, the Fireplace did not work for longer than 5 minutes each day we were there. We were unable to use the hot tub because it was too cold outside. I didn't read the information on our rental agreement very well because I thought we got some of the money back such as hot tub fee and other fee's we paid for. I think i looked at so many rental agency's that I confused some of them together since others refunded.

The Moonshiner's Legacy cabin is semi-privately located, very comfortable & conveniently equipped, with a beautiful view to the east, and a stunning sky view at night. The cabin at Elk Springs Resort is a must stay more my wife and I when we visit the Gatlinburg area.

Charcoal grill was unsuitable for grilling a proper steak. Not enough towels for 4 people. Some kitchen utensils were broken. Rental agency charged me $13 extra when I elected not to take my extra free day, then they wouldn't let me take the free day. It's a nice cabin, but they missed meeting my expectations for the price.

Overall I recommend staying at this resort's cabins. Consider - Jacuzzi was nice but noisy, couldn't shut it down at night. At least put it on a timer as it was next to master suite. Pillows poor bring your own.

Moonshiner's Legacy is a very nice, well appointed cabin. The location is ideal; very close to the Arts and Crafts Trail and one of our favorite places to eat: The Cabin Cafe. You must go there! Tell the owner, Duane Langley hello for us. Another awesome place to eat is the Hungry Bear on 321. The cabin is also close to Food City grocery store. It is not located in the Elk Springs resort property, which we preferred. There is a family of cottontail bunnies that live in the woods next to the cabin and they came into the yard every day to eat the clover. We also saw lots of different species of birds and fauna near the cabin. The decks are very nice and are in front of the cabin facing the mountain view. The back of the cabin faces a wooded area. We enjoyed this cabin very much and the only negative thing is there is no guest bathroom on the main living area floor. You have to enter the bedroom to use the bathroom or use the one located in the upstairs bedroom. This would only matter if you are sharing the cabin with another couple maybe. Our daughter had the downstairs bedroom, so we had to go upstairs every time we needed the bathroom, which did not bother us but may be a problem for the elderly. If this is inconvenient for you, choose the downstairs bedroom! Also, there are no bathtubs in case you prefer a jetted tub. The jacuzzi hot tub is large, clean, and the jets work very well. The beds were very comfortable too.

The cabin was fantastic. The view was great and very convenient to all of the surrounding attractions. We had some handicapped people with us and they were able to navigate throughout the cabin and wrap around porch. This was one of the best mini-vacations I have had in a while!

Cute Cabin-perfect for a family of four or two couples. Beds were comfortable and views from the front deck were beautiful. Only complaints: hot tub cover needs replaced-water logged and very difficult to get on/off, cabin in need of a spring cleaning-while overall bathrooms and kitchen were clean, our feet/socks were dirty from the floors and we had to wash the bed blankets as they were visibly dirty.

We stayed at Moonshiner's legacy. The cabin is very large has two bedroom's and is very nice. It is time for some new furniture as the sofa is worn out and uncomfortable and the mattress in the first floor master was horrible. Our backs needed several days to recover from how uncomfortable and broken down it was. The cleaning service needs to pay attention to dust on pictures and make sure that the dishes are clean. Several of our glasses were dirty which makes me think they weren't ran through the dishwasher or there was no dishwasher detergent. Regardless, it was undesirable. Regardless of these things the hot tub, pool table, dart board, tv's etc were all very nice. Our family enjoyed staying here and with a few upgrades would have given it 5 star across the board.

We stayed here with our daughter and her partner between Xmas and New Year. We all thought the cabin was beautiful and had an amazing view of the mist over the Smoky Mountains every morning! The directions we got to get to the cabin were a little confusing, especially as we arrived in the dark so the little fork to the left of the road confused us all. We would definitely recommend this cabin or using Elk Springs Resort and would like to come and stay in the summer months next time.

Cabin was not isolated as expected... lots of minor maintenance issues throughout the cabin... had to purchase a grill because the one provided was unexceptionable!! Not what you would expect in return for a $370/night rental fee! Will not be fooled again..

We really loved the cabin and the view was good. We had chrilden with us and we felt that the cabin had a little to many items that could be broken by excited boys. thankfully nothing was. Other than that we had a great time. Also someone who weighed a lot who stayed before us must have sat on the end of the couch because it was broken down but the boys slept fine on it. Very nice cabin for two couples or a small family, pretty location. Sad we had to leave a day early as wife got ill, but would definitely come again. The only suggestion would be a tea kettle in kitchen and perhaps time for a new frying pan. Very relaxing destination!

It was always my dream to go to this location. The first night was not very pleasant. The sign to the Mountain Drive was not very visible so we spent about 45 minutes to find the property. There was no phone service on the road so that I could not even call the office for directions. There were a lot of ladybugs in the bedrooms and behind every window and doors. There was hair on the upstairs bedlinen. My impression was that the cabin was not cleaned meticolously as I had expected. I asked the pest control people to come by and spray the outside of the home and somebody to vacum the entire cabin. Also asked for fresh linen. the cabin beside us reported of a bear being around the properties at night which made us uncomfortable getting out in the late evening. Overall the nature and the view are A++ and we just enjoyed our time together.

We had a perfect weekend! The cabin was wonderful and the mountains were beautiful. The directions to the cabin (bypassing the traffic) was awesome. We had no issues getting in or out of the area even though it was very busy. The view from the cabin was great. Also, the cabin had a great supply of cooking equipment. We were able to prepare our own meals and had everything we needed. We did see a few cabins with a better view but ours was really nice.

We've been going to Gatlinburg for over 25 years, staying in many cabins/chalets with various rental companies. This is the first time we stayed in an Elk Springs Resort Property. This was maybe the best rental experience we have had so far. The cabin was adorable, very clean, well stocked, and nicely decorated. It was exactly as described and was very peaceful with a fabulous view. The reservation process was simple and communication with the resort was thorough, friendly, and prompt. I would return to this cabin again!

Great experience. The cabin was in a great location and was overall clean and nicely furnished. The view of the mountains was breathtaking. Some of the decorations needed to be dusted/updated. We killed several centipeds crawling on the floor, so I would recommend having the cabin exterminated. There was also alot on spider webs on the outside of the cabin, which made the looks somewhat unappealing. We did not have cell phone service and it would have been nice to have been informed of this. Overall, I was satisfied with the cabin and would stay there again.

This was our first experience with Elk Springs Resorts and I can't find anything bad to say. The views from our cabin were breathtaking. The cabin was located very close to Gatlinburg. The hot tub on the deck was very relaxing in the moonlight. The kitchen was nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable. We Loved the pool table and dart board and the balcony view off of the game room was beautiful. The cabin also had it's own box of games and toys to keep the kids busy and a few books to keep the adults busy. Overall a very relaxing stay. We will definitely be booking with Elk Springs again.<br/>

We've been to the Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge area on two family vacations. The last time we went, we stayed with another cabin company. It was "ok" -- no problems, nice cabin. Just not "great." Before our most recent trip, we did some research on other cabin rental companies, and Elk Springs kept showing up at the top of EVERY list! They were GREAT!! Very professional! Very easy to work with! Check in and check out couldn't have been easier. Prices were quite comparable. The cabin FAR EXCEEDED our expectations! We have absolutely NO COMPLAINTS!! We will definitely be using them again on our next vacation!
