Great Location, needs better beds The location is great, condo is overall clean and would be very clean with some wall cleaning. The twin beds are extremely low quality and best suited for small children. The management agency was great when this was brought to their attention and offered a $300 refund. I suggest investment in higher quality beds so if more than 2 adults are staying it is comfortable. Exactly as advertised This was a great place to stay with our family of 4. Everything was as advertised, we had no complaints. It is a very spacious and roomy condo for four adults. It is in a great location with a great view! The only annoyance was the hotel workers from next door picketing at 6:30 am a couple days. Downtown Luxury on a Budget I was extremely pleased with this rental. From the lobby/valet you immediately feel like you are on vacation - everything is handled for you. Yes, you have to valet park for a fee (unless you want to find a garage and walk a few blocks), but the valet staff were fantastic and, although the lines to drop off can be long, they keep it moving quick. Then the lobby/first floor has all kinds of shops and restaurants (the coffee shop was my favorite for a morning grab and go breakfast). The courtyard area was also great for relaxing between activities. The rental itself was clean, well kept, and perfect for what we needed. Great view! The guest beds weren't very comfortable and the lights were a little difficult to understand how to use (they operated via remote). You have 6 beach chairs to use, but no cooler. Review Overall the stay was good. Room was clean and spacious. Bedroom tv was not working, could not find the remote. One fan in the living room we could not locate the remote so it was constantly on . There was no Kleenex in the room. Was Everything We Wanted, and More, With a Few Hiccups We were looking for a lowkey place to have a low-frill holiday as a family of all adults. The sleeping arrangements worked great for us- with my brother and I sharing the 2-twin bedroom and bath. The views are great. The kitchen isn't fully stocked but theres enough to get you what you need. More glasses + dishes wouldve been helpful though. The building is quiet on the western side of Waikiki which we enjoyed, the pool and the sundeck were both delightful places to spend some time- occasionally noise (children playing at the Hilton Pool) would carry over, overall we had a lovely experience. It's ~1mi from the "heart of Waikiki" but theres plenty of places near by and everything is walkable. Saying it didn't feel touristy would be a lie, but it was really lowkey. Theres great amounts of natural light in the apt itself, but minimal artificial light. The furniture was all in good condition, the stools at the counter are a bit high for that location and a bit uncomfortable, but everything else was great. There's about 10,000 mirrors in this rental, but it was helpful with the natural light and the outfit planning. The sliding doors were all a bit sticky, but manageable and workable. A few things we didn't love, some of the floor "boards" were coming up which caught the chairs or our feet while walking around. The bathrooms were a bit outdated, the shower pressure is moderate at best, the hot water was hot hot hot! There also wasn't a dresser or anywhere to really put your clothes in the second bedroom, my brother chose to live out of his suitcase and I used the shelves in the bathroom- a little annoying but not trip-ruining. Also, the fans had no guides or instructions so it was mostly trial and error & hoping you didn't get too hot/too cold at night. Overall, it was a great place for us to stay. None of us felt cramped or crowded and we were all able to spend our time however we pleased, which was perfect. Beautiful ocean view condo between two cities. The condo is beautiful and has an amazing view of the ocean and downtown Honolulu. The building amenities are very nice. The restaurant there is great! The only downfall was the noise from the city. I was surprised how much of the traffic and city noise we could hear from that high up. I’m a light sleeper and it kept me up at night and woke me up in the morning. Great location if you want to be between Honolulu and Waikiki. It was a great size for the 4 of us. Great Family Vacation Great location and views. Some electrical outlets did not work but we were able to keep electronics charged using extention cord in bedroom. Beautiful Property We stayed in this property for 4 nights. We were a little concerned when we walked in because it was very hot but once the ACs started going it was very comfortable. The beds were comfortable and it was one of the best stocked rentals I have stayed in. We had all of the kitchen items we needed and more! The only issue I had was the doors to the bedroom with the twin beds are glass (clear at the top, frosted the rest of the way.) Because of this, if someone was sleeping in there and the lights in the living room or kitchen were turned on, it was pretty bright. Fair and Adequate This seemed to be the last unit available during a busy time in August. We didn't have much choice. The unit was adequate but just. BE CAREFUL if you want parking - it isn't included a wasn't available at the condo - had to go down the block. Plus very pricey. The second bedroom is behind sliding doors. There is no soundproofing between internal rooms. Everything is pretty old. Floors are cheap fake wood, everything is the bare minimum. Not worth the price to be honest. It was clean and we had an issue with the electrical power not working in one area that was fixed quickly. Beautiful We had the best time in Oahu. The place was beautiful, clean and plenty of room. It took awhile to figure out all the remotes...lights, fans, AC but once we did all was good. The only thing would be the ac is only in the living room. The bedrooms are hot when doors are shut. We used the fans to have the living room air blow into the bedrooms during the day, then at night it was cooled off enough to use the fans at night. We had a fantastic time! The resort next to us did have protesters early in the morning(6:30) being really loud but we were up already so didn’t affect us and has no impact on rental agency. Great Location and Views Our family of four really enjoyed our stay. Great location & wonderful views (including sunsets). Kids really enjoyed the pool and a very reasonable walk to the Hilton lagoon & beach. Be sure to bring water shoes for the beach since it's very rocky - but that's pretty normal for Oahu. This is an older building and some things could use updating, but you're not in Hawaii to stay in your hotel room. The value of the view and location is excellent when comparing to newer facilities. Took a little time to figure out the lights/fans, but we figured it out. Didn't bother us enough to call the management company. Only real downside was that being an older space, there's not a lot of power outlets - plus lamps that can't be plugged in since I couldn't find an outlet nearby. Definitely not a deal breaker, but that could've been a little more convenient if there was an extra power strip or two. Valet parking was very prompt every time except once (which I found impressive). Only other complaint is that the main restaurant downstairs (Cinnamons) was closed still due to covid. But the small cafe was good and you're really close to the Hilton so believe me...you won't starve. We enjoyed our stay & would rent there again if we returned. Location & views for the price were great!

Great place, needs a little bit of tlc Great condo, convenient, awesome view. will book again. minor cons- the AC system is tired, barely kept up with cooling. the HVAC duct vents in both of the bathrooms are really really dirty. lots of lint and other stuff built up. Awesome vacation The condo was perfect for the 4 of us. Very cool that the 2nd bathroom could be used as en suite for the bedroom with twin beds so it was like 2 en suite bedrooms. The view of the sunset from the balcony was gorgeous at night. Lots of great dining within walking distance. And the staff of Ali'i Beach Rentals was very helpful. Beautiful views from a convenient condo This rental was perfect for my family of four. We like being together, but need space and this condo accommodated that. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and the kitchen was well equipped. The living area had ample seating and a nice TV, though we didn't use it much. The dining area was comfortable as well. The lanai was the most used feature (other than the beds). The view of the sunset, marina and the Pacific overall was beautiful.

Great views We had a great stay at this condo. Since it is a corner unit, there are great views. It was clean and comfortable for our family of four. These are picky things but it would have been nice to have some chairs on the balcony looking out towards the city. Also, there were a few maintenance issues we ran into. One of them (the tv) was fixed the same day. The other was a non working disposal and the balcony doors were very sticky and difficult to open. But overall, this is a great condo in a very convenient location.

Great location, awesome unit! Loved our stay here. The location is perfect. We were able to see the luau from the hotel next door from our balcony, we’re walking distance from tons of restaurants, and it was a quick drive to Waikiki.

Great place! Amazing location super close to Waikiki and the Magic Island. Our only issue was the AC in the living room. It made so much noise because the sliding door would rattle every time it turned on. If that were fixed, this place would be perfect!

Stunning Sunsets! Amazing views from this spacious and comfortable unit. Lots of privacy at the end of the hallway. The building is just far enough away from the craziest part of Waikiki but an easy walk to get there when you want to. The beach is much quieter here and what we liked best. Loved the portable beach chairs, so convenient having them. Nice to have two pool options as well. The unit could use some minor repairs but nothing serious. I would recommend this property.

Waikiki Condo comfort Stayed here as 2 couples for 10 nights. Great location in iconic Waikiki hotel/ condominiums with awesome view. Ali'i management website and app were good but relied on access to wifi. Coming off a cruise and from another country we did not know the door lock had been changed and had access problems on day one. Some stress, eventually sorted then the cleanliness of the condo was not to any standard acceptable. Especially for a condo in this price range. Manager inspected the condo and refunded cleaning fee and first nights rent on the spot which was appreciated and from then on we had no issues except the fans all were coded the same so that if the bedroom light or fan was turned on, all fans turned on... All in all we enjoyed our stay and would do so again, great location, comfortable layout and furniture and views to die for. DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE WE ARRIVED TO FIND NO WELCOMING TEA AND COFFEE; THE SHEETS HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED; DESPITE MAKING A PHONE CALL ABOUT THIS NO ONE FROM THE AGENCY CONTACTED US AND NO ONE CAME TO CHANGE THE SHEETS UNTIL 24 HOURS LATER; INITIALLY WE HAD TO CHANGE SHEETS OURSELVES WITH SHEETS THAT WERE THE WRONG SIZE FOR THE MASTER BED; IN THE BEDROOM OFF THE THE KITCHEN THERE WAS NO HAIR DRYER AND TWO LIGHT BULBS WERE NOT WORKING; A LAMP IN THE BEDROOM OFF THE KITCHEN WAS NOT WORKING; THE BED I SLEPT IN WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND THE BEDDING QUALITY WAS VERY SUBSTANDARD (IE OLD, CRINKLED SHEETS, DOONA LIKE A SLEEPING BAG). WE WERE NOT IN A POSITION TO RECEIVE A WELCOME PACK ONLINE (WHICH THE AGENCY KNEW ABOUT) NO PAPER WELCOME PACK WAS PROVIDED TO US. THERE WAS NO POOL KEY LEFT FOR US. We contract reputable cleaning company?s to service our units. Tea and coffee are not provided by us, but a renter may find some in the unit left behind by previous guest. We may want to add this service in the future. We have an "In-house" guest number for our guest to contact us for anything. We respond in a timely matter to all calls and request. Bulbs and appliances go out between stays frequently. No one called for bulbs, or iron, and now this guest wants compensation but none is warranted. We run a honest operation here and some people are meant for a hotel experience. We are proud of the units we manage and stand by our work.

A good vacation The location was great! The view was amazing but the room itself was only slightly above average. A couple things broken/missing and not overall anything special. The staff was anything but great. The valets were fine but the bell hops were terrible. We were told we could check in early which upon our arrival we were told was not allowed. We had to pay $1 per bag to store for 30 minutes. Tipped the guy $5 and then when we had our luggage brought up when we could check in tipped the guy $5 and he was upset with what we gave him. When we checked out we asked for help with our bags and it took 35 minutes and the guy somehow lost one of our bags on the way down the elevator. We didn't notice because it was in a grocery bag but we had gifts in it for our daughter. Overall we had a GREAT vacation but if I had to do it again I would pay a lot less money for a hotel a little further away from the beach or a few more bucks and stay at a more luxurious place than the Ilikia. Beautiful Unit with Ocean View We loved everything about the property except for three things: 1) The wi-fi in the unit was unreliable; 2) The pool was undergoing renovations and therefore unavailable; 3) Although the owner and rental agency could not have known in advance, there was major construction being done two floors up which created a massive amount of very loud noise for three of our seven days in the unit. The noise was extremely loud, like having a jackhammer just a few feet away. We brought this to the attention of the rental agency and received a refund for one night of our seven night stay.

Great view but a few suggestions The view and location was perfect for my parents, ages 83 and 80, the balcony was a great spot to experience the ocean front without leaving the room. The restaurant and shops on the ground level were great as well, we enjoyed breakfast, coffee, dinner and did quite a bit of shopping. The disappointment was the quality of the beds and the cleanliness of the property. For the cost, I would suggest the owners invest in a better quality mattress, a good nights rest makes everything look better. The vents in the bathrooms were disgusting and telling of the attention to detail on the cleanliness of the condo, the ceiling in the kitchen was also rather gross. I would stay in this area again, but sadly I would not choose this property again. I have pictures to share with our travel agent. Nice view, but... This unit has a nice view, location, & living room furniture, it also has some issues renters should know. 1. The bed in the master needs to be replaced; it sags badly in the middle, & even though a thick foam pad & a topper have been added it’s just mushy. Two people would roll into the middle together. The topsheet was not a fitted sheet so it was loose the whole time. 2. The VRBO listing stating the unit had cable TV & TV in master...Not. The welcome book said on how to use the cable remote but there wasn’t one. The bedroom had a huge blob in the middle of the screen instead of a picture & broadcast signal in the bedroom was awful. We used the Ali’i app to request service; no response. 3. The unit has two split A/C units in the living room but no air in the bedrooms. Running fans pointed into the bedrooms never cooled the master below 79°F. There are notes all over to turn off the A/C & close shutters when leaving the unit and on return it was 90° inside. It took Hours to cool the living room. Also the A/C units don’t work quite right, e.g., no panels to use Swing function. 4. The unit was clean, but had a few issues. The bathrooms have vents at eye level that prob have never been cleaned, so in the shower you look into a filthy vent - truly disgusting. Additionally there were two standing fans, which was helpful, but they too were disgustingly filthy. 5. Miscellaneous oddities: the windows have floor to ceiling shutters so neither of the living room lamps can be plugged in until you open shutters and plug in. 6. Our two maintenance requests regarding the TVs not working went unanswered, not even an acknowledgement. The Ali’i computer seemed to have trouble handling our two reservations (2nd one on Maui) so communication and signing into app didn’t work well. Ali’i on Maui was great, seems Oahu branch has some work to do! Response from Alii Beach Rentals ; Wednesday, October 25, 2017 We definitely need to figure out this TV situation. Great apartment. Perfect location. Excellent 2 bedroom apartment in the Ilikai Hotel which gives you full access to the pools. Perfect location down the lagoon end of Waikiki, great does kids and much less manic. Apartment is great with a proper door and wall for the master bedroom. No A/C in master but the fan was sufficient. Couch coverings now different to pictures. Great service and great place to stay. Would definitely return.

Great location This was a great place to stay for our family during an international trip. Great location, close to lagoon, waikiki beach, food, etc all within walking distance. Short uber drive to airport. Property was well maintained and the view was great. Found that there was not a lot of storage for luggage, for example no suitcase racks in any closets..had to keep all luggage in living room... that was our only inconvenience.

Perfect Location The view is AMAZING! Harbor and Waikiki on one side of condo then views of downtown and mountains on the other side. Kitchen was well stocked (though we did not use). Very clean place with easy check in/check out process using their app. Communication is prompt also. If you are renting a car, know there is a $28/day valet parking fee. We also walked to many restaurants, beach, shopping. We would definitely rent from Alii again.

A little underwhelming We stayed at this hotel during our recent trip to Honolulu (January 2018). The positives: good location and nice view. It is close to bars/restaurants and the ocean with a gorgeous view of the harbor. However, I think there were several negatives. 1- The unit was older and outdated and could really use a remodel (the pictures make it look a tad nicer in my opinion). 2- The communication with the management office could be improved. We called many times with the issues below without resolution. It also often took several calls to get a response which is frustrating as I am the type of person who prefers not be on the phone the whole time on vacation. 3- There were several malfunctioning items in the condo. The TV in the master bedroom did not work (would not even turn on). The wireless internet was horribly unreliable and my husband ended up using his own data (wireless hotspot on his phone) to complete something for work. We called the office and they told us someone would come fix the TV (which they did not) and to re-start the wireless router (which we did without much improvement in internet connectivity). 4- The hotel is part hotel and part condo. Being a “condo guest”, we did not have access to all of the amenities such as multiple pools and the gym. There were paper “pool passes" left in the welcome binder in the condo. The first floor pool required an actual key, which we were not given. Again, we called the management office and we were told that we could only use the pool on the 3rd floor— we checked and there is no 3rd floor pool (ha, seriously). We may have been able to use the 2nd floor pool but at that point, I was sick of calling and trying to figure it out. Then, we tried to use the gym and were told by the hotel staff that it is only for hotel guests (not condo guests). 5- The bedrooms were hot because there is no central air and the A/C units are located in the living room. The hotel does have some rules that regulate access for "private" guest accessing the gym, it is not allowed. There are 2 pools at the Ilikai Hotel. One on the lobby level and one on the 2nd floor. It is actually the 3rd floor from the street level and that could be what our agents meant. There is a new TV in the living room, and master bedroom. There are 2 split a/c units in the living room, with the blinds and windows closed, they are able to cool the condo sufficiently. Thank you for this review.

Ilikai hotel condo Great location with stunning views. Clean and well equipped but property a little tired. Plug sockets need work as most loose, some would not keep plugs in and some of wall plates coming away from wall. Peeling paint and broken mirror in other areas. Less spacious then brochure has you believe. Despite this we had a good stay. Good Enjoyable stay in the centrally located clean apartment. After a comfortable night in Queen Sized bed, waking up watching the surf roll in and with a marina view the unit was great. The bathrooms are starting to show their age, particularly the shower in the main bedroom. The TV was finicky, you need to ensure you only use the 'multi-purpose' remote to operate it or you will have difficulties. A better explanation in this for less tech-savvy guests would be useful. The kitchen in the unit was good, everything worked and there were enough plates etc to go around. Would stay again.

AMAZING VIEW We stayed at this rental because it was right next door to the Hilton Hawaiian Village where the meeting I had in October of 2018 was held. The space was like the picture. Maybe a little outdated in terms of furniture but it was perfect for where we needed to be located. A wonderful coffee shop on Lobby level and Cinnamons Bar and Restaurant. I would recommended this place for anyone traveling for an extended business or family stay. Air conditioning in bedrooms not the best, that would be my only negative thing to say. Great apartment and location with unsatisfactory customer service Clean, airey and spacious apartment. A few small things could be updated and better maintained but overall it wasn’t a problem. Everything we needed was there and it was perfect for a family stay. However, the customer service received by management was terrible and we wouldn’t support their business in future. Very prehistoric business processes, pushed their incompetence back into us making it our issue which hindered our holiday which was also our final destination after two weeks already spent in the US without a hiccup. Unnecessary stress was caused and for the price you pay absolutely unexpected and unacceptable. A shame because it tarnished our perfect family adventure. Otherwise, beautiful spot but definitely requires better management. Waikiki Stay for an NZ Family Rental Experience was Solid. Property is a little dated decor wise, but we knew this and we made the call to stay here as it was considerably less then other 2 Bedrooms and it suited our family of 5. Views amazing and nice to be on the 'shady side' in the morning. Not unique to this property but a check in prior to 3pm would be nice. If you are looking to be in central Waikiki, the Ilakai is probably a little further north than you'd want to be. Two Couples A great apartment in a great location. The complex itself is a little dated compared to those more recently built with the pool area poor by modern standards and the on-site restaurant below par. It does however have all the essentials for longer stays such as a laundry room. If you intend to use the beaches and multitude of good nearby restaurants and bars (as we did) then this a great spot to base yourself. It is an easy stroll into central Waikiki or to the Ala Moana Shopping Center and has a good ABC Store across the road. All the activity companies we used picked us up from outside the hotel (or very near by). We can recommend 'Snorkeling with the Turtles' (Hawaii Nautical) and the Circle Island Tour (Oahi Private Tours) and Golf at Turtle Bay Golf Club. Beautiful spot! This condo was very very nice. It was an end unit so we had a wrap around lanai was very quiet....I liked being away from Waikiki Beach a bit but I think my granddaughter would have preferred to have been right on the beach. This building is about 1/4 mile from the beach and unless you feel like walking with all your stuff, you will have to drive and then find a parking place! There were some issues with the condo..like the sliding glass door not being on the track but my 17 year granddaughter was able to fix that. If she couldn't have, we would not have had access to the lanai facing the ocean. The bath/shower combo is the master bedroom was unusable as the door was not on the sliding track and the regulator for the hot and cold water was inoperable. However, since there were just two of us, I used the bath/shower in my granddaughter's room. All in all I would rent this again but probably would have called to have all the broken things fixed if we were staying a long time. I do think that the property management company needs to vet the operability of things in the condo on a regular basis. Clearly that had not taken place and the cleaning staff didn't make them aware of the issues. Ilikai Hotel 1710 Did not start well. Cleaners still in room on arrival. No pool passes left in villa and because a Friday public holiday and then the weekend were unable to obtain the passes until Monday - incredibly frustrating. Apartment VERY tired. Microwave went off occasionally and needed to re reset via fuse box. Coffee machine fickle and worked only when making 6 cups of coffee (not 2).

Great view and location...place was good The things that matter most were great...the view and location. I've stayed where you can view Wikiki, and I'd say I liked the view of the marina just as much if not more. Beatiful at sunset and night, and in the afternoon we could watch the brief rain clouds come in. Very cool! A few minor cons - The decor is a bit outdated...New bedding would do wonders for the appeal of the rooms. Also a few things weren't as clean as I'd prefer (e.g., vents in bathroom). The biggest con was the AC. There are two units, which smelled a bit musty, in the living room. We needed to keep the bedroom doors open and use fans to keep it comfortable for sleeping. Some might be okay with having the patio doors open, but with humidity and street noise we couldn't sleep. Having the bedroom doors open was fine for us, but if you want full privacy this may not work for you. Overall, I thought the great view and location (we used valet parking at $28/day which was super convenient and easy in/out) made up for any of these cons.

Great view and comfortable to stay!! I shared this unit with my friends. 2 beds room with 2 bath were helpful for us cause we were with 4 years old daughter and son. Living room is big enough for kids to play around. I love the view from this unit. Nice ocean front and never get bored! If I could request, I wanted hand shower in bathroom with no tub. Anyway I really want to go back here again.

Awsome vacation The stay here was really wonderful. The unit was spacious and ocean veiw was wonderful along with great scenery from lobby area. It is walking distance to lots of places. Only one small problem that some of the face towels wasn't so clean along with the rugs in the bathroom. Other than that almost perfect. Will be coming back to vacation there again. A review of Condo 1710 I have previously submitted a survey. The property layout and view was great. The property manager was very helpful in replacing defective equipment - vacuum cleaner & microwave. The unit had not been well-cleaned, certainly nowhere near the cost charged. The main concern was the lack of not having anyone to call in an emergency. Around 2:39 AM, on out last night Saturday, the shower faucet in the master bathroom, began making a screeching noise, and the shower started running. Couldn't shut it off. There was no response to use of the telephone numbers provided for emergency and/or maintenance. The hotel front desk said they had no one on duty, and, besides, it was our problem - not theirs. No one responded, no voice mail, at the Alii Beach number Saturday morning. So we just left.

WAIKIKI WITH PARADISE VIEW AND GREAT MANAGEMENT COMPANY THE HOTEL AND THE TWO RESTAURANTS WERE LOVELY. THE CONDO WAS GREAT AND PURE HEAVEN. THE STAFF AT THE HOTEEL WERE RUDE, BUT THAT WAS BECAUSE WE WERE NOT THEIR GUESTS, BUT HAD ARRANGED THIS FROM THE COMPANY. THEY CAN BE IGNORED AND THE POOL PEOPLE AND OUR MANAGEMENT COMPANY WAS GREAT. THE AMENITIES WERE PERFECT AND ALTHOUGH WE LIVE IN MILLION DOLLAR HOMES AND PENTHOUSES, IN LA AND PALM SPRINGS FELT VERY COMFORTABLE. ASK THE TWIN BEDS BE MOVED TOGETHER. MUCH MORE ELEGANT. Vacation Great place and location beautiful walk to restaurants. Lanai large and view amazing. Need an extension cord for the fan in the guest bedroom so the fan is not so close also extra garbage cans to separate recycling. Definitely would return.

Our Stay at the Ilikai 1710 Location was Perfect but; upon check in the running water was NOT on and/or immediately ready for our stay. The owner (while did check with us on the day of) needed access to the unit to repair some of the shutters; this in my mind should of been done in between rentals stays or after our departure while no visitors were staying. In addition, the dishwasher did not work or clean the dishes properly and the turntable of the microwave did not work properly. The owner should of ensured these items were in working order prior to our stay. And at a minimum fixed before their concern of the shutters (which was very minor). We shouldn't have to call maintenance for these issues. We would recommend this specific property for the LOCATION only "as is" and if the above items were fixed/replaced.

How to spend your 80th Birthday in Hawaii In spite of a few short comings we enjoyed the two stay very much. The view is outstanding! The layout of the condo is just perfect for 4 persons,the additional persons would not be comfortable on blow up mattresses. The living room furniture is not comfortable and needs replacing. The beds were great for comfort. The shutters were great! The kitchen needs definite upgrating The flooring installation is poor. Supplies under the beds and in the closets were in the way.That's all I can recall! We had a wonderful time in Hawaii!

Nice Oahu Rental Really good rental in Waikiki. Smaller than appears in the photographs, so was a bit cramped for 4 people. Beautiful view of the marina, very convenient $1/hour parking in a public lot across the street, we never had a problem getting a spot. Only drawback was the A/C is only in the main room, not in the bedrooms, and didn't circulate well. Otherwise, very satisfied with the room, property management, ease of rental, and responsiveness of management.

Great Spot - Great View Overall it was very pleasant. The location was perfect for what I needed, handy to everything. My only complaint was that there were no instructions as to how to operate the Television, and there were 3 remotes. Some time to get it right, even after the first time. ILIKAI CONDO 1710 We had a lovely stay at the condo in the Ilikai Hotel 1710. The location was good. The condo was lovely, we only have a few negatives about the stay which are the condition of the furniture in the living room was in a bad way. The chairs and the sofa were broken, and quite uncomfortable to sit in to be honest. The material was quite faded and looked shabby. Considering how lovely the location of the condo is, and the price we paid, the furniture did let it down. The fact that there was no air conditioning in the bedrooms was also a negative for us. In order for us to sleep comfortably in the master bedroom we had to sleep with the lanai doors open which was not really practical due to the noise from the street below. Although there were fans we found that they just kept moving warm air around. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would use Alii Beach Rentals again but would probably not stay in condo 1710 unless the furniture was updated. Thanks. Great experience! We truly enjoyed our stay at the Illikai hotel! The room was exactly same as the photos, very clean, and well maintained. The harbor view from the big window was just superb, looking the panoramic view every morning when we wake up was a great experience. Very easy access on foot to Alamoana shopping mall, and the downtown area if we take the bus. The area was a lot quieter than the crowded waikiki main area, and it was a good point. A few minute walk to a beautiful beach, and we were even able to see the fireworks at the Hilton on Friday night. (not from the room, we needed to go down to the Hilton beach area, but it takes just a few minutes.) The kitchen was equipped with a rice cooker, a big dish washer, many clean nice dishes and bowls. We really had a great time staying here, we definitely recommend to friends and we would like to come back again if we have another chance to visit Hawaii. Thank you for everything! Poor property management I have already posted a list of issues that were really disappointing. Response from Alii Beach Rentals ; Thursday, April 14, 2016 Future guest please understand, that when renting a private unit at a hotel property, such as the Ilikai Hotel, you will not be treated as a "hotel guest." The Ilikai is gracious enough to allow our guest to use their pool, but amenities like the front desk, gym, and bell service are not allowed to vacation renters. We try to make this very clear on our website when renting these hotel condos and we are very sorry this guest was disappointed when finding this out. Side note: the view from this 2 bedroom is amazing!

WOW! I Understand why Aloha Brings Customers!!! Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve à Waikiki. On aurait pas pu mieux choisir que ce condo situé à proximité de la plage, des activités de toutes sortes et des magasins. Le condo est spacieux, très propre et contient le nécessaire pour se faire à manger et s'y reposer. La vue du 17 ème étage est superbe! La gérance/propriétaire a répondu immédiatement à nos requêtes avec soin et rapidité. Nous avons fait un tour de ville en autobus avec un guide et la visite de Pearl Harbour, excellent tour. Polynésien Center situé au nord de Honolulu, un MUST! Très bons restaurants à proximité! Je recommande définitivement ce condo. Aloha!

Perfect location and accommodation We were 2 couples and found 1710 perfect for our needs. Plenty of privacy in the condo and great location. 10-15 minute walk to the strip by beach or road, 10 minute walk to Ala Moana Center, on bus route and easy access to shops restaurants etc. Great views from the balconys and private enough to sit out and relax. Condo was a good size, clean, comfy beds, plenty of linen and towels, good kitchen only negative being no electric kettle (we like our instant coffee). Lagoon next door in front of Hilton, beach right there too. Restaurant downstairs was excellent - great staff great food and drinks and well priced. Would definitely recommend and would return to do it all again. Unable to access free wifi though?? Excellent holiday accommodation - thank you :)

Oahu stay This condo was decent for our stay. Although after coming from Maui the week prior we had higher expectations since our Maui resort was so beautiful. The condo furniture, decor, and applicances were definitely outdated. After day one the toilet acted up but the staff quickly responded to the work order the following day. Some of the bed linens appeared dirty as well as dusty areas around furniture, dressers, and vents. The view was not as nice as anticipated since the lagoon was barely in view from the balcony. The pool was okay but not as nice as the Modern or Hilton's pools on either side of the Ilikai. Overall, the best part was the location was decent since it's a close walk to the beach and next to the Hilton complex which has a lot of entertainment available. Response from Alii Beach Rentals ; Wednesday, August 3, 2016 Coming from a resort might make one a bit saying:) The owner is planning on doing the upholstery herself the next time she?s out, but the furniture is fully functional. You may not be able to see the whole man-made lagoon at the Hilton, but you can definitely see the waves breaking and surfers surfing in the Pacific ocean from your !

Fantastic view This was our first time in Honolulu. Although we did not like the congestion, unfriendly locals, traffic and commercialized attitude of the town, we loved our hotel. The condo has a prime location with a stunning view from the balcony to enjoy the sunset and sunrise. The furniture was not comfortable but we did not time to sit down; the sliding door of the bedroom gave us a hard time, but it was tolerable' the mattresses were not the best ones but they were ok. What I am trying to say that if the company listened to visitors and took care of some details, this place would be PERFECT! Be aware that the hotel offers only valet parking which is $28/day. If you do not want to drive all over the island travel to the remote areas, do not rent a car. Uber, trolley, buses, and taxis are all over the town. We regretted very much for renting a car and had to pay a lot of unnecessary money just for the rental/parking/parking tickets. Just ride the trolley and enjoy the city without dealing with the traffic, constructions, pedestrians and long red lights...

Great Location, Gorgeous Views Condo was clean and tidy with plenty of space for a family of four. Air conditioning worked well. Walking distance to Ala Moana shopping centre, and lots of restaurants etc. nearby. Valet parking service is easy, quick and friendly if you have a rental car, and public bus stops right outside. View from the lanai was amazing - lovely to sit outside with a cold drink and watch the sun set. Quick, easy walk to the beach (no roads to cross for children). Children enjoyed the hotel pool too. Really pleased with our choice of accommodation which we felt was much better value for money than a hotel room given the space and facilities we had. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent 2 bedroom apartment in the Ilikai Hotel which gives you full access to the pools. Perfect location down the lagoon end of Waikiki, great does kids and much less manic. Apartment is great with a proper door and wall for the master bedroom. No A/C in master but the fan was sufficient. Couch coverings now different to pictures. Great service and great place to stay. Would definitely return.

Stayed here as 2 couples for 10 nights. Great location in iconic Waikiki hotel/ condominiums with awesome view. Ali'i management website and app were good but relied on access to wifi. Coming off a cruise and from another country we did not know the door lock had been changed and had access problems on day one. Some stress, eventually sorted then the cleanliness of the condo was not to any standard acceptable. Especially for a condo in this price range. Manager inspected the condo and refunded cleaning fee and first nights rent on the spot which was appreciated and from then on we had no issues except the fans all were coded the same so that if the bedroom light or fan was turned on, all fans turned on... All in all we enjoyed our stay and would do so again, great location, comfortable layout and furniture and views to die for.

The view and location was perfect for my parents, ages 83 and 80, the balcony was a great spot to experience the ocean front without leaving the room. The restaurant and shops on the ground level were great as well, we enjoyed breakfast, coffee, dinner and did quite a bit of shopping. The disappointment was the quality of the beds and the cleanliness of the property. For the cost, I would suggest the owners invest in a better quality mattress, a good nights rest makes everything look better. The vents in the bathrooms were disgusting and telling of the attention to detail on the cleanliness of the condo, the ceiling in the kitchen was also rather gross. I would stay in this area again, but sadly I would not choose this property again. I have pictures to share with our travel agent.

Was all as expected if not better - we had an issue with one of the showers but this was fixed during our stay. Apartment was great and we had the best time - spent hours enjoying the view on the balcony which really made a difference and when we next visit Honolulu will definitely see if this aopartment is available again.

The location was great! The view was amazing but the room itself was only slightly above average. A couple things broken/missing and not overall anything special. The staff was anything but great. The valets were fine but the bell hops were terrible. We were told we could check in early which upon our arrival we were told was not allowed. We had to pay $1 per bag to store for 30 minutes. Tipped the guy $5 and then when we had our luggage brought up when we could check in tipped the guy $5 and he was upset with what we gave him. When we checked out we asked for help with our bags and it took 35 minutes and the guy somehow lost one of our bags on the way down the elevator. We didn't notice because it was in a grocery bag but we had gifts in it for our daughter. Overall we had a GREAT vacation but if I had to do it again I would pay a lot less money for a hotel a little further away from the beach or a few more bucks and stay at a more luxurious place than the Ilikia.

WE ARRIVED TO FIND NO WELCOMING TEA AND COFFEE; THE SHEETS HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED; DESPITE MAKING A PHONE CALL ABOUT THIS NO ONE FROM THE AGENCY CONTACTED US AND NO ONE CAME TO CHANGE THE SHEETS UNTIL 24 HOURS LATER; INITIALLY WE HAD TO CHANGE SHEETS OURSELVES WITH SHEETS THAT WERE THE WRONG SIZE FOR THE MASTER BED; IN THE BEDROOM OFF THE THE KITCHEN THERE WAS NO HAIR DRYER AND TWO LIGHT BULBS WERE NOT WORKING; A LAMP IN THE BEDROOM OFF THE KITCHEN WAS NOT WORKING; THE BED I SLEPT IN WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND THE BEDDING QUALITY WAS VERY SUBSTANDARD (IE OLD, CRINKLED SHEETS, DOONA LIKE A SLEEPING BAG). WE WERE NOT IN A POSITION TO RECEIVE A WELCOME PACK ONLINE (WHICH THE AGENCY KNEW ABOUT) NO PAPER WELCOME PACK WAS PROVIDED TO US. THERE WAS NO POOL KEY LEFT FOR US. THE PLUS WAS THAT THE VIEW AND THE SUNSETS WERE GREAT. THE ILIKAI IS IN A GREAT POSITION. EXPECTED MORE FOR THE MONEY WE PAID. IT WAS A VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE.

(not from the room, we needed to go down to the Hilton beach area, but it takes just a few minutes.) The kitchen was equipped with a rice cooker, a big dish washer, many clean nice dishes and bowls. Really good rental in Waikiki. Smaller than appears in the photographs, so was a bit cramped for 4 people. Beautiful view of the marina, very convenient $1/hour parking in a public lot across the street, we never had a problem getting a spot. Only drawback was the A/C is only in the main room, not in the bedrooms, and didn't circulate well. Otherwise, very satisfied with the room, property management, ease of rental, and responsiveness of management.

In spite of a few short comings we enjoyed the two stay very much. The view is outstanding! The layout of the condo is just perfect for 4 persons,the additional persons would not be comfortable on blow up mattresses. The living room furniture is not comfortable and needs replacing. The beds were great for comfort. The shutters were great! The kitchen needs definite upgrating The flooring installation is poor. Supplies under the beds and in the closets were in the way.That's all I can recall! We had a wonderful time in Hawaii!

Location was Perfect but; upon check in the running water was NOT on and/or immediately ready for our stay. The owner (while did check with us on the day of) needed access to the unit to repair some of the shutters; this in my mind should of been done in between rentals stays or after our departure while no visitors were staying. In addition, the dishwasher did not work or clean the dishes properly and the turntable of the microwave did not work properly. The owner should of ensured these items were in working order prior to our stay. And at a minimum fixed before their concern of the shutters (which was very minor). We shouldn't have to call maintenance for these issues. We would recommend this specific property for the LOCATION only "as is" and if the above items were fixed/replaced.

THE HOTEL AND THE TWO RESTAURANTS WERE LOVELY. THE CONDO WAS GREAT AND PURE HEAVEN. I have previously submitted a survey. The property layout and view was great. The property manager was very helpful in replacing defective equipment - vacuum cleaner & microwave. The unit had not been well-cleaned, certainly nowhere near the cost charged. The main concern was the lack of not having anyone to call in an emergency. Around 2:39 AM, on out last night Saturday, the shower faucet in the master bathroom, began making a screeching noise, and the shower started running. Couldn't shut it off. There was no response to use of the telephone numbers provided for emergency and/or maintenance. The hotel front desk said they had no one on duty, and, besides, it was our problem - not theirs. No one responded, no voice mail, at the Alii Beach number Saturday morning. So we just left.

I shared this unit with my friends. 2 beds room with 2 bath were helpful for us cause we were with 4 years old daughter and son. Living room is big enough for kids to play around. The stay here was really wonderful. The unit was spacious and ocean veiw was wonderful along with great scenery from lobby area. It is walking distance to lots of places. Only one small problem that some of the face towels wasn't so clean along with the rugs in the bathroom. Other than that almost perfect. Will be coming back to vacation there again.

Did not start well. Cleaners still in room on arrival. No pool passes left in villa and because a Friday public holiday and then the weekend were unable to obtain the passes until Monday - incredibly frustrating. Apartment VERY tired. Microwave went off occasionally and needed to re reset via fuse box. Coffee machine fickle and worked only when making 6 cups of coffee (not 2).

The things that matter most were great...the view and location. I've stayed where you can view Wikiki, and I'd say I liked the view of the marina just as much if not more. Beatiful at sunset and night, and in the afternoon we could watch the brief rain clouds come in. Very cool! A few minor cons - The decor is a bit outdated...New bedding would do wonders for the appeal of the rooms. Also a few things weren't as clean as I'd prefer (e.g., vents in bathroom). The biggest con was the AC. There are two units, which smelled a bit musty, in the living room. We needed to keep the bedroom doors open and use fans to keep it comfortable for sleeping. Some might be okay with having the patio doors open, but with humidity and street noise we couldn't sleep. Having the bedroom doors open was fine for us, but if you want full privacy this may not work for you. Overall, I thought the great view and location (we used valet parking at $28/day which was super convenient and easy in/out) made up for any of t

four adults enjoyed this property, it's location, cleanliness, brightness. The view is terrific, looking over the pool and marina from the front balcony and the adjoining hotel and street activities from the one off the master bedroom. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony and a glass of wine watching the activities in the evening. It is well equipped although the only food items were salt and pepper so future renters should be aware of that when they arrive. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a wonderful trip. We are considering another trip in the future and would love to stay in the same unit. It was equiped with everything we needed. Some furniture peices were on the worn side and the airconditioning was not effecient for the rental. To get some air to the bedrooms the doors had to remain open which caused a lack of privacy. the views from the rental were awsome and are our main reason for considering another trip in the future.

The location of this property is superb. However, the apartment needs more upkeep and cleaning. When we arrived the floors were dirty, window shutters very dusty, oven and coffee maker were dirty as were some of the dishes and glasses. The pillows were urine stained and stinky and sheets were stained and very thin. The ice maker was not working. When we let the agency know, they promptly cleaned the apartment but this was an imposition on our time in the condo, which is not ideal during a vacation. Future guests should know that parking costs an extra $28 per day and the laundry facility is not in the apartment. The massage business in the lobby is fantastic and well priced. The restaurants in the facility are nothing special but next door there is a top rate restaurant for sushi and Asian fusion cuisine owned by an Iron Chef.

This unit #1710 has everything you need away from home. The beds were comfortable, great WiFi connection, access to telephone, cooking facilities, plenty of towels, hair dryer, good size TV, great views, clean and enough room for a family of 4. It is however a good walk into Waikiki but you can catch a trolley once you work out where to catch them and what side of the road. It is very close to Ala Moana shopping center and only a short walk. We rented this apartment through Ali's Beach Rentals. They were fantastic. They didn't require a deposit which concerned me however all went according to plan with no problems. There is a booking desk in the foyer of the hotel if you want to book day trips through them. All staff at this facility were friendly and helpful. There is also a nice restaurant downstairs which has great food. Thank you Ali Beach Rentals for you help and efficient process of our booking:) Oh I must mention the Chief's Luau, the BEST food and entertainment, you must go and Hanauma Bay was wonder

Overall I would say that our stay at the Ilikai #1710 condo was positive and we had a great time. The condo is in a great location close to Waikiki Beach and all the shops and resturants. The no key dead bolt using a combo is very convienient and it's nice not having to carry a key or card to access the condo. It also has really nice views of the ocean and marina. 1710 Condo is outfitted with all the necessary items to feel at home and cook meals if desired. It also had beach towels, boggie boards, beach mats, shovels/pales for kids to play in the sand and even a booster car seat for the 5 yr old on our trip. It now also has a small stroller that we left behind as others have left items in the past. Condo is in fairly good shape but I feel needs new furniture and some updating. A ceiling fan should be added to the second bedroom for increased guest comfort. We had to keep A/C at night to keep both bedrooms comfortable. We also had some ants around the kitchen area that should be treated more aggressively

We stayed a week in this apartment in March and it was perfect. We have 2 kids, so the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were great. The views are lovely and it is great to sit on the balcony and watch the sun setting. The apartment was very clean and the floors have been changed to a floating wood floor (so no more problem carpets as mentioned in previous posts). The kitchen is well stocked with all you need. The wifi was excellent. The air con worked well. The service we received from Ali'i was fantastic. Nothing was a problem and they were always quick with replies. A very special thanks to Shelly and Barry for all their help!! We would definitely recommend this apartment and Ali'i and would definitely stay again.

The room was clean, light and pleasant. Two items: the dishwasher did not work and the blow-up bed (which looked like a decent one) had a slit in it and only stayed inflated for a short while. Also, my camera disappeared. We stored our luggage downstairs at the hotel for the day on the last day. Upon returning 7 hrs. later, I checked for my camera in my suitcase and it was gone. Lost and found, security and Ali'i Beach rentals have not seen it . . .

Nice apartment in an excellent location, particularly if you have young kids. Only big complaint is the tub in one bathroom was very clogged and we did not detect ( because it looked clean when we checked in) till water started collecting during shower. Had to pull a pile of yucky mess to drain and wonder how the previous cleaning was done. Called right away and they had to come twice to fix it and we end up not being able to use that bath 60 percent of our stay. Asked twice if they'd consider any compensation and never heard back. That was a missed oppty to right things and build goodwill.

Beautiful view but very noisy due to location on busy Ala Moana Ave. No AC in bedrooms so lanai doors had to be kept open and heard Sirens, motor cycles, buses,shouting all day and night. Bed spring was broken, was unable to sleep. Management co. was very accommodating and replaced right away. The floor was so dirty,my white socks were black in 2 days.Layers of dust and dirt on the fans, shelves and doors still present after we requested a cleaning.Fingerprints on wall and doors. A cleaning supply package with bucket and mop would have been appreciated, although we did pay for cleaning. Bathtubs had ring on it and we did buy chlorine cleaner.We hand washed every dish before use.Patio furniture was black and lounge chair broken.I do have pictures to share. The view was great with beautiful sunsets.Adequate kitchen supplies and towels. Great space with 2 bedrooms , a large livingroom with outdated furniture, not even a comfy couch to watch TV. We left 3 days early to another clean and peaceful place.

This condo was easy to book thru Ali Beach rentals no fuss. the 2 bedroom self contained unit was very clean and spacious plenty of towels. A home away from home with a fantastic view over the mariner. It is at the quite end of Waikiki and a 10 min walk to Alla Monana shopping centre and lots more. Reception staff were not that helpful from the Ilikai Hotel but the porters were very very helpful they run rings around the reception staff. I would stay there again.

We had a very comfortable stay. The condo offered everything needed, it was spacious, bright and had a beautiful view. The rooms were well laid out and it was great having 2 bathrooms. We also made good use of the balconies and kitchen and dining areas. Bus stops and trolley stops were nearby and the location is good - near the beach, but in a quieter area of Waikiki. It was a very nice place to stay. The only thing we had an issue with was the door code which was not changed after the previous guests. That presented a safety and theft issue. The code was changed after we requested however it does not seem to be standard procedure to change the code at the end of each stay. There is only one lock on the door. Besides that parking was $25 a night and valet only so it was costly. Overall a very nice vacation and a great view from the room.

We rented this unit for it's quiet location and beautiful scenery, as well as having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, perfect for two couples staying together. Everthing about this unit was very nice. I would definately stay here again. My only complaint is that we had planned on cooking, and I went out and purchased a fry pan, because the ones provided are not teflon, therefore, everything stuck to the pans, and was frustrating. The carpets are light colored, and was very stained upon arrival, and I did mention that to Alii. We heard no noise and enjoyed sitting on our lanai (balcony). The bus service is very close as well as places to dine. We loved it!

It was our second time at this location but the first time in this unit # 1710. We were there for one week with my sister and her husband. The condo was great but unfortunately the carpet was very dirty and there were a few minor problems; however, a very friendly person of the maintenance department -his name is Barry- came over immediately and resolved at least the minor problems. All in all we had a fantastic time and I truly recommend this unit.

The Ilikai has to be one of the best deals in Waikiki! The location is fabulous, with access to the Hilton Village next door, lots of restaurants and stores nearby, and killer views! The lobby area has wonderful little shops, notably the coffee shop and hotel pub/bar/restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The free hula show Friday night was spectacular...a trip highlight. Note to a lii: the sliding door in the main living area sticks BADLY and MUST be repaired!!! Otherwise, fabulous condo in a fabulous location.

Would stay here again. Major negatives (which weren't too major in our eyes) were the lack of aircon in bedrooms, dirty carpet in living area and pre-existing minor damage in some furniture. This condo has a great location right at the entrance to Waikiki beach across from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. It is also within walking distance of the Ali Moana Mall. The views, etc are as pictured on the website. The condo is a little dated, the carpets were stained, and the AC units struggle a bit to keep the bedrooms cool. Otherwise, everything is very nice and in good working condition. Much better than renting a hotel room if you are traveling with a family! For less money, you get two bedrooms and two bathrooms as opposed to two double beds and one bathroom in a hotel suite.

The unit was very nice, clean, kitchen well appointed, and a beautiful view of harbor. The deck is beautiful and we loved sitting out there for breakfast. We did not use the beach so being just off the Wakiki beach was fine with us. It was just one hotel over. I only have two complaints about the unit, the beds are getting old and need to be replaced and the air conditioner is located in the living room so you can NOT close your bedroom doors if you want to get air. If someone wants to get up early or stay up late, the whole condo is up with them.

Recently took my family of 6 and stayed at the Ilikai #1710 for 6 days. For the cost, it was well worth it. The location was great, and the views were incredible. Overall the unit was very clean and in good shape with the exception of the carpet which was a little soiled in some areas. We had a slight issue with the blow up mattress, but it was quickly handled by Shelly and Shannon. The two of them were great, and their attentiveness made are stay a pleasure. The pool was kind of boring for kids, but wasn't a big deal because we simply went next door to the Hilton Hawaiin and hung out their. When we return in the future this is where we'll stay. We truly felt at home here. In all, I would definitely recommend staying here.

This rental was perfect for our vacation. Plenty roomy for 5 people. The view from the veranda was beautiful, great for watching the sunset. It was very clean and fresh inside the unit. Kitchen was adequate for preparing meals. The location is excellent however if you don't need a car for your entire vacation you may be advised to rent one on location for the days you need it. Parking is expensive and its difficult to navigate the roads in the area. Overall, we were extremely happy with the rental and location. The property manager, Ali's Beach rentals was very professional and helpful.
