Loved my stay as always
It was my first time in this unit but I have been in the complex several times. Perfect for beach walking and the balcony views were amazing as always. The condo was clean and comfortable. <br/>Lots of Shopping near by and my experience with Florida lifestyles was great as usual. Hope to get back again.

Beach Escape
We checked in after hours and everything was very simple. The room was great, the view was unbeatable, and the facility was great. We stayed a week and had no issues at all. The pool was great, but the beach was what we came for and it was amazing.

Beautiful Views
What a great view from the balcony of this condo! Right on the beach, allowing perfect views of the ocean and amazing sunsets. Condo was very clean and comfortable. Even though we had a few glitches, like the building being painted, a morning power outage and a stinky refrigerator upon arrival- we were very pleased with our overall experience. Communication was great and very attentive. We had everything we needed to have a relaxing, beautiful week. Location was perfect, allowing daily walks along the beach and also near places to eat and explore. Heated pool was great! Very enjoyable week!

Family vacation
It was a great location very clean and not crowded we loved it only problem was the a/c was locked at night at 75 which is uncomfortable for sleeping

Relaxing by the Beach
Condo was ocean front. Our unit was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Owner was extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs. If you want a beautiful and relaxing stay look no further. Can’t wait to return.

Vacation getaway
Beautiful condo well equipped. Weather in 80s the entire week with blue skies. Other than the elevator breaking down for a few hours on the day we arrived and having to carry groceries up to the condo via the steps, we had a wonderful stay. We have stayed at the Chateaux complex many times before but 1st time for this unit. Would definitely consider this unit if we vacation in Indian Shores in the future.

Not a great stay at the Chateaux
This is our 5th time staying at this property but the first time in Unit #404. The building facilities have just had too much wear and tear to make for a comfortable vacation. The unit is on the 4th floor and the elevator was out for 6 of the 7 days. Walking up 4 floors once or twice is no big deal, but doing it over 50 times just doesn't feel like vacation, especially when you have to load everything in and out without the elevator. The pool was so cloudy and just didn't look clean. The pool service company came while we were out at the pool but they just threw some chemicals in and left. No one actually skimmed the debris off the pool. The beach here is very crowded because of the public access point next to the condo so be prepared for tents and set-ups 4 deep during peek times. The unit itself was fine. Nothing special but had all the basic amenities you need and while the bed was comfy the pillows were not. The leather furniture in the living room was uncomfortable as well and the balcony furniture seemed old. Again, having an unreliable elevator was the biggest problem and while the owner was very responsive he just basically said there is nothing he can do about it. My point is I paid for a condo with an elevator and received one without one. There are other condos you can rent in the area that are walk ups and they are less expensive. A women at the pool said her elderly mother has been trapped in their condo for three days because she cant walk the stairs. If your entire party can't walk the stairs then I wouldn't rent this condo.

Chateaux
We had a wonderful time. The street can be loud overnight due to the bedroom location. A curtain over the window would be nice to keep light out. There is an outdoor light right outside the window. The shower head holder snapped the first time used over weekend. Was fixed the next afternoon. Staff was not very friendly when I called to ask if the email sent over weekend was received. Also called our first night over weekend to see if a wallet was found in the office. Was told nothing could be done and had to wait until Monday. Not very helpful and sounded as if they didn't want to deal with us. Reservation process was fine but all around we've had a better experience with another company in the area that was always friendly and provided a welcome bag upon check in along with many options of items to rent throughout the stay such as towels, umbrellas, chairs, bikes and movies. We enjoyed the beach daily. Dined at Aqua prime, salt rock, seabreeze and slyce. All fantastic meals. Saw many sting rays in the ocean. The water was warm, the sun was shining most of the trip. Can't wait to return to the area next year.

Fantastic Anniversary Week
This was our 5th year at the Chateaux. On arrival we found a few problems, clogged drain and broken dining chair. Also the sliding door between bed/bath was screwed shut.maintance took care of it promptly. The floors were updated beautifully. Most importantly the bed was super comfortable. The furniture was nice. Over all it was a fantastic week. The weather was great.

Rotting dead fish, green murky water, work crew waking us at 7am!
WORST vacation experience ever. Upon parking our car & opening the door we were overcome by a wretched smell. Later walking down to the beach found that the smell was coming from thousands of rotting fish along the shore and floating dead fish in the water. The usually clear water was like green slime from what we were to later find out was something called a “Red Tide”. According to locals the red tide had been going on all summer. This was never disclosed to us when we booked back in July. Sitting down for dinner we found 3 of the 4 dining chairs had legs so loose we were afraid to use them. The chipped tile was surrounded with black moldy grout. The issue with the grout had been brought to the owners attention back in June according to VRBO reviews to which the owner replied he would take care of getting the floors cleaned “promptly”. Obviously not addressed. The refrigerator was slightly askew exposing a swath of nasty dirt lurking from underneath the unit between the appliance and the cabinet. The cleaning crew had left perhaps 1/3 of a roll of bath tissue & a 1/3 of a roll of paper towels. We also noticed the sliding door was unlocked and we were unable to lock it before retiring to bed. There was a notice in our packet containing our keys that there would be painting activity throughout our stay. Monday morning we were abruptly awakened between 7-7:30 hearing voices shouting & the clanking of metal. The painting crew constructing ladders and banging against the building. That was followed by a “lift” that carried supplies & crew which BEEPED ALL DAY LONG directly below our balcony! We couldn’t stand the noise & couldn’t stay in the condo, couldn’t enjoy the beach due to the stench of rotting fish & the beeping of the lift equipment. We were uncomfortable leaving because we couldn’t secure the sliding door. There were huge fork lifts running up & down the beach all day connecting 2 construc

Thank you for your review. As we stated to you prior, we would be happy to give you a refund for any days that you chose not to stay. You chose to stay the entire week. You never called us about any issues inside the condo. You are incorrect about Red Tide being on our beaches all summer. TV reports showed exactly where Red Tide was. It just recently started showing up on our beaches and we have no control over those things. Again, we offered to give you a refund so you could find other accommodations north of us if Red Tide was a problem. You chose to stay. Loved our stay
We were very pleased with the rooms and the property. The beds were very comfortable, the view was great from the balcony, unit had everything we needed except beach towels. We would definitely stay again. Restaurants were close and good.

Wonderful stay
We loved our accommodations. Tastefully done, right on the beach with a big balcony, and very large and roomy for a one bedroom. We would love to return to this condo. The only drawback is there are no washer and dryer in the unit.

Not bad,but not good
We have been in this building before .Love the location. Overall the room was fine. The carpet was dirty and the room needed a face lift. No ice maker and only one ice tray. We will be back to this building next year only in a different unit.

Great location, BUT....
Condo not very clean on arrival. Scrubbed the bathroom and kitchen cupboards myself. The floors need to be washed and the grout cleaned as well. Very dirty. The bed sheets didn't really fit. Kept coming off the mattress. The chair in the bedroom was missing its cushions. The pillows in closet very dusty and smelled. Glad I brought my own. Need new large burner on stove. It's 'bent'. Dining table looks like it's seen better days. Brought foam pad for pullout couch. Should wash the mattress cover....stained. However the location is excellent and the heated pool is great. View from balcony awesome. Comfortable king size bed. Would recommend this unit if condo cleaned better. Pretty bad.

Indian Shores 404 Chateaux
Rental experience was good overall. The only issue was the elevator stopped working on a Saturday and we were told they couldn't get anyone out to fix it until Tuesday. So walking four flights of stairs with all of our stuff was inconvenient- but good exercise I suppose. The mgmt company offered to move us but we really did not want to pack everything up again for 3 more days. The beach was beautiful and good location to everything. Overall a great stay.

Perfect Honeymoon!

Don't depend on an internet connection
We stayed in Chateaux 404 for 10 days, the condo was clean, the property well tended and the view was amazing.<br/>The downside was...on day three we tripped a fuse using the microwave a coffee maker at the same time. This usually isn't a problem because being a homeowner we flipped the fuse and moved the coffee maker to a different outlet( over the dishwasher). But the tripped fuse caused us to lose the internet connection. 3 stops to rental office-NO HELP AT ALL. A call to Brighthouse (2 hours) advised to call Linksys to find out contract expired in 2010. Part of our vacation was to look at vacation homes, difficult to preview homes on a phone using my own data. We will NOT use this FLVR when we return in March. Nor will we recommend this company to our family or friends.

Best Stay in Florida
The website describing condo was very accurate. Opened sliding glass door with a view of the gulf!!! Condo is perfect for a couple who want to relax, take a walk along the beach, or just sit on balcony enjoying the view along with the sun set. The owner was very prompt in calling back to confirm dates and price. The rental company was very friendly, provided great customer service. Indian shores is the best place in Florida!!! It isn't crowded, reminds me of a small town atmosphere.

Alittle Bit of Paradise

2016 Condo 404

We truly enjoyed our stay. The condo was great. It had the perfect amenities for my kids and I. The location was perfect--close to food, groceries and local attractions in all direction--without being overly touristy and crowded. It was a very family friendly environment. Grade A Condo with an extremely good rate!
I travel for a living and one of my favorite places to visit is Florida's western coast. I was scheduled to be in Florida for a week and decided to take my wife and daughter with me. I worked and they played. We found this rental on Vacation Rentals and it sounded perfect. We were not disappointed. We had a great week and the condo was very clean and well kept. The view was incredible! We truly enjoyed ourselves and hope to visit again in the future. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a great vacation at a great price.

A very nice spot! Perfect view of the gulf and beach for sunsets. You can't get any more convenient to the beach. The accommodations were spacious. A few maintenance items: Elevator failed to close its door and thus I was climbing stairs a couple of times. The shower drain was very slow.<br/><br/>Kristen was very professional and accommodating as I made changes to my plans. The pool was just the right temperature. The facility in general was kept nicely clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Choice!
We stayed in condo 404, most beautiful view, couldn't have wanted better. The bed was comfortable and condo very clean. We had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. When we arrived the staff at the location of where we picked up our keys were very helpful and professional. We ate at Original Pizza across the road a few times and the food was excellent, be sure to try the lasagna, it's very good and large protions. We will definitely be back but for next time we will stay for 2 weeks instead of one week.<br/>

Perfect Place to Stay With Amazing View!
This was our 2nd year staying at Chateaux 404 and we have already booked our 3rd for February 2019! We love this condo; it has an amazing view in a great location of Indian Shores close to many restaurants. It is very clean and comes with everything you need. My Stay in 404
I really enjoyed my time in Indian Shores. There was one thing that bothered me about the condo and that was the leather furniture. I just could not sit on it without sliding on it until I was almost laying down. Other than that the property was nice and clean and the sunsets were awesome. We are already talking about a return trip next year. I had never stayed in that area before and I really enjoyed it.

We rented unit 301 through the owner. Because of a broken water heater in 301 we were moved by the rental agency first to 308 (where the keys did not work and was unable to get in), then the maintenance person on call had me pick up the keys to 404. This unit was not supposed to be comparable to 301, but it wasn't - less desirable location, poorer quality furnishings, peeling paint on the end table, not even a pen or pencil to write with. No hairdryer was furnished - I asked management to supply one and did not get any satisfaction, even though I was to have one in 301. Didn't feel like the rental agency did much to help make the situation as good as it could have.

We have rented at the Chateaux for the last three years and for the last two have rented 404 and LOVE this unit. We especially like the property because it is quite and very relaxing. The pool is always warm and clean. I have recommended the Chateaux to friends and they agree. We will be back!

Condo ok, Florida lifestyles vacation not
The condo was ok,after it was finished cleaning. Upon arrival the condo was not put all back together even though we were told it was ready to use. The kitchen drawers and appliances were all open, like everything was half done. <br/><br/>The kicker though was the generous 1(ONE) roll of toilet paper we were given. When called about where another roll was, we were told "we are not a hotel " Really we did not get that when we booked it. The arrogance of the staff was mind blowing. With all the condo rental places out there you would think a little less attitude would be used. <br/><br/>We will NOT ever use Florida Lifestyle vacation again.<br/><br/>P.S. They can't even spell our hometown right on this survey.

Beautiful Indian Shores . . .
We enjoyed our stay at The Chateaux in Indian Shores, FL. It is a great location which is handy to restaurants, shopping, etc. The beach is outstanding. We so enjoy walking the beach and watching the sunsets. Throughout the day it is so pleasant to look at the water from the balcony and watch the waves come in . . . very peaceful. Unit 404 is very nice. It does need a few minor repairs . . . sliding bedroom door does not work and does not close so if someone is sleeping they hear all the noise from the bathroom being used. We did let the management company know when we left so they could get someone in to fix it. All in all though, it was a wonderful place to be on the beach.

Great condo

Wow - Great weather and a great stay
We really enjoyed the sunsets on the balcany along with seeing dolphins almost every morning. The condo was clean and the fold out couch and fold out chair worked great for my 14 year old daughter and her friend to sleep on. The master BR bed was comfortable to sleep on. Kitchen was fully equiped (minus a blender) so good thing I brought my own portable blender! We rented a boat from Island Adventure Rentals (just across the street) and that was a major hightlight. It cost ~$279 including gas and we took a 5 hour cruise up the intercoastal! Saw dolphins and famous homes like Tom Cruise and Hulk Hogan's houses, etc...best thing was stopping at Kaladasi Island and walking along the beach - found a beautiful full sand dollar! Worth the 30 minute walk after docking!

A wonderful May vacation
My wife and I stayed in this unit for a week in May, and we loved it enough to book a two-week stay in the fall. We can't wait to come back to the Chateaux, its location is perfect and the balcony views of the sunset every night are beautiful. The unit was kept up very well, clean and stocked with just about anything you could imagine needing during your stay. Can't wait to be back.

great spacious beach front condo
My husband and I stayed in this one bedroom condo for a week. Everything was great except it could have been cleaner. The bedroom carpet and bathroom needed a deep cleaning.<br/><br/>The livingroom and kitchen were big and nicely furnished. The beach front balcony had a fantastic view and the heated pool was warm and clean.<br/><br/>We will stay here again and will recommend it to others.

As such we at Florida Lifestyle can only report elevator outages, pool problems, etc. With regards to the vacuum, we find no service request. Room with a view!
Just had two weeks at the Chateaux unit 404, and it was amazing!<br/>The apartment is a nice size, with everything you need, the bed is big and so very comfy. The bathroom does need a bit of an update, but works fine.<br/>To be honest we spent most of our time on the balcony, you never get fed up with looking at the sea and sunsets!

A week in Indian Shores Fl,, our favorite place to be.
This is the fourth year that we have stayed at the Chateaux and love it everytime we are there. Since it is a smaller property it never feels other run with lots of people. Hate to leave it when our time is up!

Good overall experience
Arrival packet had directions to the wrong property. No beach towels were in the unit. Only two trash bags were available. bathroom needs update. Great location, just needs a little work to make it wonderful.

Good but so close to Great!!!
I would agree with other reviews that this condo is in a very nice location. Quiet and very family oriented! A plus for us! But, the upgrades that have been described in other previous reviews have never been made...Pocket Door sticks (just take it out and put in a more permanent fix), rugs not vacuumed (found a broken vacuum), bathroom drain needs to be replaced (you have to switch them when you go from bath to shower). Kitchen and living room are great! Bedroom is very comfortable and roomy! Sand toys and beach chairs were available and not mentioned much in previous posts. Pool and beach access are exceptional! Very well-maintained building and grounds! A few extra dollars and some time and this place could be extraordinary. We will be back if something else in the building with all of the upgrades is not available. The Staff at Lifestyles were excellent to work with. Cathy, we'll be calling you again soon! :)

Vacation Gateway
The property was well equipped with home convienances such as dishes, towels etc. Breathtaking views. The pull out couch in the living room will need attention as it was very uncomfortable. There was no cushioning left in the mattress just metal springs covered by a bed sheet. The property was clean and the location was perfect. We definitely would like to return to Florida in the near future.

We stayed in condo 404, most beautiful view, couldn't have wanted better. The bed was comfortable and condo very clean. We had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. When we arrived the staff at the location of where we picked up our keys were very helpful and professional. We ate at Original Pizza across the road a few times and the food was excellent, be sure to try the lasagna, it's very good and large protions. We will definitely be back but for next time we will stay for 2 weeks instead of one week.<br/>

The website describing condo was very accurate. Opened sliding glass door with a view of the gulf!!! Condo is perfect for a couple who want to relax, take a walk along the beach, or just sit on balcony enjoying the view along with the sun set. The owner was very prompt in calling back to confirm dates and price. The rental company was very friendly, provided great customer service. Indian shores is the best place in Florida!!! It isn't crowded, reminds me of a small town atmosphere.

This was our 3rd time staying at the Chateaux. We love the location. Close enough to restaurants and activities yet quiet and peaceful. The beach and views are awesome. There was a minor maintenance issue and the owner took careful it immediately.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The condo was great. It had the perfect amenities for my kids and I. The location was perfect--close to food, groceries and local attractions in all direction--without being overly touristy and crowded. It was a very family friendly environment. I travel for a living and one of my favorite places to visit is Florida's western coast. I was scheduled to be in Florida for a week and decided to take my wife and daughter with me. I worked and they played. We found this rental on Vacation Rentals and it sounded perfect. We were not disappointed. We had a great week and the condo was very clean and well kept. The view was incredible! We truly enjoyed ourselves and hope to visit again in the future. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a great vacation at a great price.

A very nice spot! Perfect view of the gulf and beach for sunsets. You can't get any more convenient to the beach. The accommodations were spacious. A few maintenance items: Elevator failed to close its door and thus I was climbing stairs a couple of times. The shower drain was very slow.<br/><br/>Kristen was very professional and accommodating as I made changes to my plans. The pool was just the right temperature. The facility in general was kept nicely clean. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our accommodations. Tastefully done, right on the beach with a big balcony, and very large and roomy for a one bedroom. We would love to return to this condo. The only drawback is there are no washer and dryer in the unit.

We have been in this building before .Love the location. Overall the room was fine. The carpet was dirty and the room needed a face lift. No ice maker and only one ice tray. We will be back to this building next year only in a different unit.

Condo not very clean on arrival. Scrubbed the bathroom and kitchen cupboards myself. The floors need to be washed and the grout cleaned as well. Very dirty. The bed sheets didn't really fit. Kept coming off the mattress. The chair in the bedroom was missing its cushions. The pillows in closet very dusty and smelled. Glad I brought my own. Need new large burner on stove. It's 'bent'. Dining table looks like it's seen better days. Brought foam pad for pullout couch. Should wash the mattress cover....stained. However the location is excellent and the heated pool is great. View from balcony awesome. Comfortable king size bed. Would recommend this unit if condo cleaned better. Pretty bad.

Rental experience was good overall. The only issue was the elevator stopped working on a Saturday and we were told they couldn't get anyone out to fix it until Tuesday. So walking four flights of stairs with all of our stuff was inconvenient- but good exercise I suppose. The mgmt company offered to move us but we really did not want to pack everything up again for 3 more days. The beach was beautiful and good location to everything. Overall a great stay.

We stayed in Chateaux 404 for 10 days, the condo was clean, the property well tended and the view was amazing.<br/>The downside was...on day three we tripped a fuse using the microwave a coffee maker at the same time. This usually isn't a problem because being a homeowner we flipped the fuse and moved the coffee maker to a different outlet( over the dishwasher). But the tripped fuse caused us to lose the internet connection. 3 stops to rental office-NO HELP AT ALL. A call to Brighthouse (2 hours) advised to call Linksys to find out contract expired in 2010. Part of our vacation was to look at vacation homes, difficult to preview homes on a phone using my own data. We will NOT use this FLVR when we return in March. Nor will we recommend this company to our family or friends.
