Peace and tranquility
You can’t beat the sunsets on Gulf Coast and views from balcony as usual up to par. Unit had a wraparound balcony so we could enjoy sunrise as well.

good location
overall we were very happy with this condo. The neighbors above us were quite loud, and we often couldn't use the patio as someone was smoking pot on another.

Sandcastle 1 unit #801
This unit was a great 2/2 bed bath. The corners unit had the most spectacular views of the golf and intercoastal . You can view sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed our one month stay. Every room has a TV to watch. This unit has everything you need for a great vacation.

Great location, great unit, poor housekeeping
We love the location of Sandcastle 1 after staying here in a different unit in 2020. The unit itself was well-furnished and fully equipped; however, the unit itself was visibly dirty. We had to scrub the master shower to remove the mildew, and scrub the cabinets and microwave which were covered in visible grease. The fan blades were all caked in dirt and there was dirt in all the corners of the rooms. The pool was great and the location to the beach cannot be beat. We were again disappointed that the exercise facility is for "owners" only, although we never saw it in use the entire week. Overall, we would stay here again in a heartbeat, but would choose another unit that is either owner-managed, or managed by a different company with a better housekeeping crew.

Needs attention
Walls were dirty,fixed items that were falling apart, towel racks,bathrooms drawers, oven handle completely fell off,had to scrub the bathtub in the 2nd bathroom to take a bath.

Beckius family vacation 2022
We had an amazing time staying at Sand Castle I in condos 801 and 803. The condos were very nice and provided adequate space for all of us. We loved the pool area and the beach. Having the trolley stop right by the condo was very convenient. Another nice plus was having Caddy’s right across the street.

A lovely stay on Indian Rocks Beach
We had a terrific week at Sand Castle 1. The property is located on the 8th floor, which made for a lovely elevated view and a little height anxiety. This is a corner unit so the view is awesome from the front deck facing west for beach and sunset views and from the side deck looking back towards the intercoastal area. The elevator is a little slow but we never waited too long. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice place but . . . .
Very nice condo overlooking the Gulf. Comfy furniture and beds. Everything you need in the kitchen. Floors could use a deep clean and other areas a good dusting. Second day there, we saw the beginning of our battle with cockroaches. Exterminators were brought in three times but we became tired of dealing with the problem. Constantly looking down at the floors and the countertops to see if they were around. Ended up leaving early. The rental agency responded immediately and were wonderful to work with. There was only so much they could do about the problem because it takes quite a while to get rid of a cockroaches. We spoke with other renters and they didn't seem to have a problem with bugs. We would use this agency again but not rent in this building.

Beautiful views
This condo is very well located in the peaceful community of Indian Shores. There is great access to all the necessary amenities and close proximity to many great restaurants. Being an 8th floor corner unit with a wrap-around balcony, the views from the unit are excellent. This unit comes with an under-building parking spot, which is bonus. The unit is decently decorated and equipped for all family needs for a comfortable stay. <br/><br/>During our two week stay we did encounter multiple issues three different days with the building fire alarm going off in the middle of the night as rain storms seem to trip the system. One evening it went off 4 times, the alarm ringing for about 15 minutes each time, with the exception of the last time it rang for a full hour as the fire department would no longer come to turn it off. Hopefully they get this serious issue with the building fixed soon. Not sleeping due to fire alarms did not make for a restful family vacation.

Indian shores annual vacation
We come every year and stay at Sand Castle 1 in different units based on cost and availability. Second time in 801. It's a nice unit. Elevators at the building always seem to have issues and the management company should be advised.

Excellent Condo-Not Kid Friendly Complex
The unit itself is very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and the view was amazing. I have zero complaints regarding the condo. However, the building it is within is not a kid friendly building. Had I known this before, I wouldn't have booked this condo. There were a lot of snowbirds or retirees that lived in the building. They had a lot of rules- no floats, toys, balls, or rafts in the pool, no horseplay in the pool.. It was very boring for a 7 year old boy. On the couple of occasions he jumped in the pool and splashed some older men, they were quick to yell at him. There were 2 elevators, although only 1 was working. It was only half the size of regular elevator and could maybe fit 6 people squeezed tightly together. Twice during our week stay the only working elevator was inoperable causing us to have to walk up 8 floors to get to our condo. There were new signs in the elevator every day instructing visitors to do this or don't do that.. There was an older lady who walked around the parking lot checking parking passes and quickly called tow trucks if yours wasn't displayed where she could see it. It's a shame to spend that much money on a vacation where you feel you are an unwanted guest. I'm sure it would be great for a group without kids, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it for family's with kids.

Sandcastle 1, room 801
We had a wonderful vacation. The unit was stocked nice. (Could have used more towels and washclothes, we had to wash them everyday). Few issues, main bathroom sink would not drain and had mold around it and on the faucet. Ceiling fans had inches of dust on all of the blades.

Vacation in February
Condo was very clean ! Great location! Had an issue with the TV not working and they cane over to fix right away! The TV was missing a cord. I would say there are to many remotes and none of them had on the remote what they went to. They only thing I would suggest is to have cleaning supplies to clean condo while I was there. Stove top cleaner, floor cleaner, window cleaner for glass table tops. I don’t feel that a renter should have to buy:)

Wonderful family beach trip
We love Indian Shores and especially Sand Castle 1. Can't beat the location and so close to some great restaurants. The condo was beautiful, very clean and had everything we wanted...even a great blender for Pina Coladas. We can't wait to return and hope to stay in the same condo next time. Another thing that was a great benefit was that others had left beach umbrellas and mats for others such as our family to use. We left a few things also for the future guests. The staff made checking in and out so simple. Thanks!

SPECTACULAR VIEW!
Our small family had an amazing stay in this unit. The kitchen was fully stocked and each room had everything we needed. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought in making the place feel like home. My only suggestion would be a light dusting especially under furniture but would definitely stay again! Thanks for having us!

It was OK, but could have been cleaner.
The building was on the older side, which is fine, but the whole thing could have been cleaner. The pool was small and felt very cloudy/dirty to all of (11 in our group total-- 3 different condos). Our room was nicely appointed, but I was very disappointed in the cleanliness. My daughter's bed had to be changed as it was very apparent by the amount of sand and hair in it that the sheets had not been changed since the last person staying there. The amount of dust bunnies and sand under the beds was gross, and there was dust literally hanging off the chandelier over the kitchen table. The refrigerator looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time either. When I see basic things (like sheets) not clean, I begin to question if anything was actually cleaned between stays. The other bummer was that there was Red Tide in the water, which we realized after we all had coughs and scratchy throats the first two days on the beach. We will definitely not be staying here again.

Great Condo
The condo was in great condition. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach chairs and beach umbrella was wonderful extra touch, and the condo was well stocked. If I had one suggestion, it would be (for the price) to upgrade the cable/channel selections for your guests for those rainy days/evenings.

Awesome family vacation!
My husband and I took my oldest son and girlfriend to Busch Gardens which was nearby. We also brought my mother, she loved sitting on the balcony and walking on the beach. The condo had nice updates and neutral decor which was very relaxing. The beachfront view from the living room and master bedroom was spectacular. So much to do in the area and everyone had a blast. We would definitely stay here again. #801

We are local Seminole: It was great, everything except food and
It was great, everything except for clothes and food was there. Nothing to bring. except I had to get some sugar and the coffee maker was not Keric. A great Gulf experience, lots of beach and sun. Being May, the weather was beautiful. Don't tell the tourists they will ruin it. Parking is limited, so if you have more than one car, ... Limited guess parking. On the first day someone had parked in our assigned spot. But the caretaker promptly called a wrecker and problem disappeared. Didn't happen again.

Our 5th visit to this area, 3rd time in this unit, I was disappointed with the cleanliness upon arrival. This unit is normally spotless. The iron does not work. Happy to find the balcony bistro set is still in good shape. My favorite place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Overall great place to visit !

Really good modern updates. Lighting and decor was excellent. Balcony has fantastic view. Thanks for all the beach items, a big plus, even a cooler with ice bag and frozen blue ice. Sliding glass door needed new rollers "very" difficult to open. Working on it when we left.<br/>Would suggest area rugs around the bed.

Love Unit 801 in Sandcastle I
We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in unit 801. This unit has been updated to a coastal modern look with all the amenities we needed. Beautiful kitchen, handy washer / dryer in the unit; loved the wrap around deck, beautiful views. Bathrooms were very nice, loved the tile floors. Would recommend this unit to others. <br/>We did have one issue when we checked in to the unit, water was leaking from the over-the-sink lights and the floor and counters were soaked. We cleaned up the mess after calling this into the emergency line. Property manager showed up and went to check on the unit above. Never heard anything else - hopefully all is well.

A Choice View of the Florida Sunsets
We enjoyed ourselves and the condo with a few maintenance and supply issues. The plan of the condo is great and we loved the wrap around balcony. That was our favorite part of the condo. We arrived Saturday and didn't learn until Sunday that we couldn't get the TVs to work and that the coffee pot was not clean or usable. Called the after-hours number and Vickie was very attentive. Had the Spectrum person out there in the afternoon and arranged for Eva to come the next morning (head of housekeeping). I showed her several things and she brought us a new coffee pot, took away the stained bedspread, washed down the dirty shower stall door and ordered the glass door to be caulked (it was loose) that afternoon.She was excellent. Other issues: no pot holders in kitchen, the place mats for table looked dirty, did not use them; filthy dirty floor mat going out to the balcony; no instructions (I think Eva found them) out for use of tv and sound board; could not find iron at first (not with the supplies); most difficult to turn on and off lamp by the door to balcony. All of these are easily addressed but need attention.

Great view.... but condo was dirty
We stayed in this condo for a week, While the view is amazing the overall cleanliness of the unit was not in great condition. The floors appeared as though they only swept and never mopped the unit. Within an hour of walking around the inside after arriving the bottoms of our feet were completely black. There were stains on the pillows on the couches and the bedspreads also had some spots.<br/><br/>The tub in the main bathroom was so clogged that after giving our kids a bath it took about 30-40 minutes for the tub to drain. The light above the bathtub and the shower in the master bath did not work. The light switch in the main bath for the light and fan seemed broken and should be replaced.<br/><br/>The master bed was not somewhere I could sleep. You would sink down several inches and just seemed worn out. I had to sleep in the back bedroom.<br/><br/>We notified management on Saturday of the issues and I was asked if it could wait until Monday to fix and I said it was fine. Monday came and went and nobody showed up and never showed up during our stay.<br/><br/>Overall I would not stay, or recommend this condo. There are better ones around for the same price, and they are not filthy like this one.

Very nice place, well maintained, very nice location. The only thing that could be better is if we could have been given a choice to have housekeeping during our stay. Even if we had to pay extra for it I would have. But overall a 5 star from me!

The perfect beach getaway!
We had such a wonderful time in this condo on the beach! Each room is very nicely redone and very clean! Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms and a breathtaking view in this corner unit! We have been to this beach and complex before - but loved this trip even more than our previous visits because we stayed longer and this condo was our favorite so far! You can't beat Indian Rocks Beach! Thank you!!

Great Vacation Getaway!!!!!

Sandcastle 1 801 September 2018
We have frequented the Sandcastle properties for 6-7 years now. Always our favorite place to stay as we have family in the area. The red tide was heavy when we arrived so we only used the pool until after Wednesday when they cleaned up the current dead fish and foul odor. The sunsets were still glorious and we always appreciate the amenities the condo offers. However, we were very disappointed with the state of the condo this time. Sand was all over the counters and floors (I vacuumed and mopped the day we arrived), the fan in the den was totally unusable. I called upon arrival and was told no one was working until Monday. They came to fix it on Tuesday and it took over 3 hours to replace it. The owners had nice one touch button technology and he could not figure out how to keep this so he put a black on the wall and said would have to now use the pull chains. We did not complain about the one in the bedroom (you could only use it on one speed with it making noise) because we knew the owners would want to have it replaced to continue using the wall "one touch" button. The wall receptacle in the master bathroom on the left side of the sink was not working either. We reported these things on our departure form but did not want multiple visits of workers during our visit. It is disruptive. We love this unit but were very surprised this time. Hopefully all will be addressed before we visit again. <br/>

Sand Castle I 801
Location is great and the check in process was pleasant and easy. The overall look of the condo is nice but it isn’t cleaned well. Floor was dirty lots of dust on fixtures. Toilets and showers were dirty. Cabinets were dirty/greasy. It just needs a lot better cleaning.

Great Condo!
My husband and I stayed here in the middle of August 2018. The condo was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The master bedroom bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in! The views from the bed, on the 8th floor, were wonderful! The wrap around balcony was a delight. We had everything we needed and after purchasing groceries we rarely left the property, just enjoyed the Gulf and pool. Great place to stay I highly recommend it!

Gorgeous but wasn't cleaned to my standards before arrival.
Great Condo! However, the cleaning crew did not do a very good job prior to our arrival. Floors and counter tops were barely clean. Kitchen drawers were dirty. Washing machine has foul odor along the seal. More storage in the daybed room would have been preferred. If this were my beautiful condo, I would insist that it were taken care of better.

This condo had beach chairs, beach toys and a beach canopy available which we much appreciated! Pool area very nice as well as the green space. Our wraparound balcony view was fabulous! Please note that the master bedroom mattress needs to be replaced. Too broken in!!!! Slept terrible all week. Condo decorated nicely:) we would return but please replace mattress.

We take great pride in responding to guests needs in a timely manner and when cleaning issues arise we address those issues immediately if we are made aware of them when the guest arrives. We leave a welcome letter in every condo with numbers to call with any needs or concerns. Perfect location for a family vacation!
This unit overlooking the Gulf was the perfect place! The balcony had lots of space with a great view. Plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 kids. Lots of upgrades made it feel like a resort property.

Less attention to detail than in the past five years
While Lifestyles reacted to our requests for light bulbs (6), only 2 wine glasses, etc, I believe that they should have been pro-active in making sure that those items should have been replaced before we moved in. A short inspection of the unit by Lifestyle staff prior to people moving in would have found other items that needed attention as well.

Beautiful Condo
Condo was recently updated with high end upgrades, surpassed our expectations. The views of the beach and ocean were outstanding. We loved the wrap around balcony with views of intercoastal waterway and the gulf. Fabulous kitchen with lots of counter space, stainless appliances and open concept. The owners were great to deal with, the rental company made things very easy upon arrival. Can't wait to return again next year.

We lived our unit, second year staying in the same unit. However, the WiFi was not working. We only had enough towels for one day, so I had to do laundry every day. Went to the Florida Lifestyles to get more and they could only offer a few extra washclothes. There was mold in the master bathroom shower and mold in the kitchen sink faucet.

We have stayed in this unit many times before a very lovely condo
This time we were disappointed by the destruction by former tenants in the unit who have destroyed the outside furniture. As well as the comforters on the beds have not been cleaned as same marks on them since previous years. Yes unit was surfaced clean but I am sure owners would not be pleased with how some people do not care about others property and maybe Florida Rentals should take note after each rental to review these things.

We enjoyed this facility very much, beautifully decorated and included everything we needed. We did have a few issues, which we reported to Florida Lifestyle, including a poorly functioning ice maker, and the main TV's soundbox not working properly.

We stayed in this condo for a week, While the view is amazing the overall cleanliness of the unit was not in great condition. The floors appeared as though they only swept and never mopped the unit. Within an hour of walking around the inside after arriving the bottoms of our feet were completely black. There were stains on the pillows on the couches and the bedspreads also had some spots.<br/><br/>The tub in the main bathroom was so clogged that after giving our kids a bath it took about 30-40 minutes for the tub to drain. The light above the bathtub and the shower in the master bath did not work. The light switch in the main bath for the light and fan seemed broken and should be replaced.<br/><br/>The master bed was not somewhere I could sleep. You would sink down several inches and just seemed worn out. I had to sleep in the back bedroom.<br/><br/>We notified management on Saturday of the issues and I was asked if it could wait until Monday to fix and I said it was fine. Monday came and went and nobody sho

It was great, everything except for clothes and food was there. Nothing to bring. except I had to get some sugar and the coffee maker was not Keric. A great Gulf experience, lots of beach and sun. Being May, the weather was beautiful. Don't tell the tourists they will ruin it. Parking is limited, so if you have more than one car, ... Limited guess parking. On the first day someone had parked in our assigned spot. But the caretaker promptly called a wrecker and problem disappeared. Didn't happen again.

Our 5th visit to this area, 3rd time in this unit, I was disappointed with the cleanliness upon arrival. This unit is normally spotless. The iron does not work. Really good modern updates. Lighting and decor was excellent. Balcony has fantastic view. Thanks for all the beach items, a big plus, even a cooler with ice bag and frozen blue ice. Sliding glass door needed new rollers "very" difficult to open. Working on it when we left.<br/>Would suggest area rugs around the bed.

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in unit 801. This unit has been updated to a coastal modern look with all the amenities we needed. Beautiful kitchen, handy washer / dryer in the unit; loved the wrap around deck, beautiful views. Bathrooms were very nice, loved the tile floors. Would recommend this unit to others. <br/>We did have one issue when we checked in to the unit, water was leaking from the over-the-sink lights and the floor and counters were soaked. We cleaned up the mess after calling this into the emergency line. Property manager showed up and went to check on the unit above. Never heard anything else - hopefully all is well.

We enjoyed ourselves and the condo with a few maintenance and supply issues. The plan of the condo is great and we loved the wrap around balcony. That was our favorite part of the condo. We arrived Saturday and didn't learn until Sunday that we couldn't get the TVs to work and that the coffee pot was not clean or usable. Called the after-hours number and Vickie was very attentive. Had the Spectrum person out there in the afternoon and arranged for Eva to come the next morning (head of housekeeping). I showed her several things and she brought us a new coffee pot, took away the stained bedspread, washed down the dirty shower stall door and ordered the glass door to be caulked (it was loose) that afternoon.She was excellent. Other issues: no pot holders in kitchen, the place mats for table looked dirty, did not use them; filthy dirty floor mat going out to the balcony; no instructions (I think Eva found them) out for use of tv and sound board; could not find iron at first (not with the supplies); most diff

If I had one suggestion, it would be (for the price) to upgrade the cable/channel selections for your guests for those rainy days/evenings.

My husband and I took my oldest son and girlfriend to Busch Gardens which was nearby. We also brought my mother, she loved sitting on the balcony and walking on the beach. The condo had nice updates and neutral decor which was very relaxing. The beachfront view from the living room and master bedroom was spectacular. So much to do in the area and everyone had a blast.
