Interaction with owner/host was very good. Furnishing more than adequate for the time one spends in a condo. Small kitchen with complete set of utensils to cook. We did not cook and only had breakfast in condo. The toaster in the condo did not work and we contacted owner who promptly had a new toaster delivered to the condo. The bed could have been a bit firmer. It was quiet in the condo with very little outside noise. The condo was clean when we arrived. Bathroom was clean with more than adequate towels/hand towels. Provided more than adequate soap/toilet tissue/paper tissue. We used the laundry once and the condo provided detergents that we used. We sat by the pool but didn't use it, as it was windy and slightly cool. Will stay again if we visit Maui again.

This is a lovely condo in a great complex with a pool (unheated), hot tub, and tennis courts. The apartment has everything needed for a relaxing stay and is beautifully decorated with a tropical theme. It is a 10 minute drive from the popular supervised Kamaole beaches, but there is a beach directly across from the complex that is perfect if you have younger children, because it has stone walls protecting it from the surf. It was fun to watch the turtles feeding there. The downside to this property is an older air conditioning unit that cycles constantly because it is installed at floor level and is boxed in by the furniture. It sounds like a freight train starting up. It was unfortunately humid when we arrived, so we required it. We didn't sleep because of it for about three nights and became very sick as a result. Our vacation was spent recovering unfortunately. The humidity eventually subsided and we eventually figured out a workaround to avoid using the AC at night. The owners did take action trying to relocate us (everything was booked). but offered us some financial consideration instead. It didn't solve the problem but was appreciated. If the owners changed this, I would have no hesitation recommending this condo. - Robert M., Summerland, Canada

A 500 square feet island style tropically decorated top floor studio unit inside the resort complex of Kihei Bay Surf in sunny Kihei, Hawaii. The lanai is overlooking a tropical garden, tennis court, and mountain in the quiet area of the resort complex. Kihei Bay Surf resort complex was featured on HGTV's Open House in 2008. Resort complex amenities includes, swimming pool, hot-tub/Jacuzzi, tennis court, 2 barbeque grills, picnic table area, laundry facilitity. The swimming pool and hot tub was resurfaced in 2015. New washers/dryers were also replaced in 2015. Walk ways was replaced in 2014. Parking is complimentary, however parking permit must be returned to the unit prior to checking out. A replacement fee will automatically be deducted from the damage deposit.

This is a beautiful condo, nicely decorated with all amenities that you could need. The complex was quiet and close to everything. The owners were wonderful to work with and very helpful in suggestions of the area. I have referred friends and returning again in 2011.
