Located in the historic market town of Nantwich, the neighbourhood around the Terrace House is steeped in history and brimming with character. Nantwich itself dates back to Roman times and has among the highest concentrations of listed buildings in England, notably featuring splendid examples of Tudor and Georgian architecture. The town's rich history includes being a significant salt-producing centre from the 10th century, a major player in the medieval tanning industry, and a key location during the English Civil War. Every year, Nantwich commemorates the lifting of a six-week siege in 1644 with a re-enactment known as "Holly Holy Day". The area in which the Terrace House is situated and the road itself has some interesting historical points, including the site of a former Unitarian Chapel and is opposite the Morrison's supermarket. This area has undergone significant transformation over the years, with new houses replacing the chapel site and a mini roundabout replacing the old T-junction. The area also features the original terrace houses of Pratchett's Row, of which the Terrace House is one. A short distance away, you'll find an Aldi supermarket and The Beeches junction. As for local attractions, Nantwich is known for its charming town centre filled with independent boutiques, cafes, and antique shops, and it hosts a number of popular events throughout the year, including a food festival and a jazz festival. The neighbourhood around the Terrace House provides a rich and historically fascinating setting for our guests. There is no parking available at the Terrace House, however, there is paid parking available at Love Lane Car park which is £3 all day until 8.30am the following morning. It's just through Morrisons. Morrisons is free for 90 mins so this may also be used. Swimming pool carpark is more of a walk but free after 3pm. To offload your luggage, you are more than welcome to stop in front of the property, with your hazards on, before parking at one of the parking lots mentioned. To discover and explore other towns and attractions, you can use the train. The Nantwich Railway Station is located just 0.2 miles away from the property. There are multiple bus stops for getting around, with the closest bus stop being 0.3 miles from the Terrace House. The Terrace House uses a lockbox in which the keys are stored, ready for when you arrive. The code is provided in the scheduled message which is sent on the day of your arrival and is valid for the length of your stay.
