Terms

Rental Rules/ Contract

1. CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 4 P.M. HST AND CHECK-OUT IS 11 A.M. HST
NO Early Check-in or late check-out. If guest is still in room after check-out time there will be a charge equal to one nights rent plus tax.

2. This is a NON SMOKING unit. No smoking in the unit or on the patio/balcony. Hawaii legislature enacted State Law 295, effective November 16, 2006, which prohibits smoking in all enclosed or partially enclosed areas open to the public. Violations will result in fines.

3. Pets are not permitted in rental units under any conditions.

4. DAMAGE/LOSS/DISTURBANCE POLICY - The condo unit is individually owned and decorated. Please do not remove any furnishings, equipment or items from the unit. Guest will be solely liable for any additional costs, charges, expenses resulting from any damage, lost or stolen items or excessive check-out cleaning. Neither the Owner or Manager will be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items. Manager will use its best efforts to ensure that all equipment within the unit is in good working order, although neither Manager nor Owner guarantees that any equipment will not break down during your stay, and therefore such a break down does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustments for any such mechanical failure. In the event of a break down, Manager will use its best efforts to remedy the situation as soon as possible after notification of the break down. Guest understands that there is no guaranty that properties adjacent to the unit will be free from disturbances, including but not limited to noise or inconvenience from construction, traffic or other guests or neighbors, and any such disturbance shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment. Guest also understands that Hawaii is located in a tropical climate and that insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. Although Manager will use its best efforts to hold to a minimum your interaction with these pests during your stay, Guest understands that contact with pests does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to refund or rental adjustment. Any issue will be reported to Manager or Owner immediately. Guest understands that Manager and Owner shall have a reasonable amount of time to restore rental to acceptable conditions and any issues presented after check-out can not be remedied and shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

5. DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT- A non-refundable damage/reservation deposit of 25% is required and must be received within seven (7) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts and is applied to rent upon arrival.

No additional damage charges will be charged if:

a. No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.
c. All keys are left on the kitchen table and unit is left locked, and master key left in lockbox.
d. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
e. No linens are lost or damaged.
f. NO Early check-in or late check-out.
g. Parking passes are left inside the unit upon departure. (Depending on the particular resort.)
h. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), the local law enforcement, the security company employed by My Complex.


6. PAYMENT (S)

Payment is due in full if reservation is made within 30 Days of stay. Otherwise 25% of rental amount is due upon receipt and the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.– Lockbox code will be given out after final payment is received.

If not paying by credit card, you may pay traveler's checks, bank money orders, cashier’s checks or personal checks in USD

The advance payment is a damage/security deposit until arrival. The payment is nonrefundable. This secures your vacation rental in lieu of others wanting to vacation on or during the same time period.

7. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests per condominium is limited to (4) in studio condos and (4) guests in a one bedroom condo, (4-6) in a two bedroom and (8) in a three bedroom according to the allowance by the State of Hawaii. THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A THREE (3), (5) or (7) NIGHT MINIMUM STAY depending on season.

8. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is accepted for less than required limit of days, the guest will be charged the night rate.

9. INCLUSIVE FEES – Rates include a one-time linen-towel setup. A starter supply of coffee, creamer, sugar, hand soap, trash bags, paper towels, shampoo and conditioner and laundry detergent. Additional supplies are the responsibility of the guest. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate. Parking is extra at certain resorts. See 14. PARKING PASSES.

10. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate, however it may be available at an additional rate.

11. RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice but will not affect existing rental contracts..

12. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in.

13. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.

14. PARKING PASSES – Parking passes are located inside the unit. for Kuleana, at the Royal Kahana, Pohailani and Paki Maui you must get the pass at the front desk but there is no extra fee. At the Honua Kai t and Kaanapali Shores there is a parking fee per day paid directly to the resort and has nothing to do with us.. Both of these resorts you must secure your pass through the front desk. There isn't a pass required at Kahana Villas. Renters must display parking pass on the rear view mirror at all times. Failure to display may result in towing of vehicle at renter's expense. Leave the parking passes inside the unit upon departure. There is a $50. charge to replace lost Parking Passes at the Kuleana Resort only.

15. HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY – HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY (beach property): No refunds will be given, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.

16. TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend your purchase travel insurance. Please ask about this service.

17. CHARGES. Excessive cleaning of the unit will incur a minimum fee of $50/hr (one hour minimum). Damages made to the unit will incur a minimum of $60/hr (one hour minimum) to cover the cost to fix, and replace, plus the cost of the replacement or any materials. Should there be damage that requires a professional that charges more per hour (plumbing, contractor), market rate hourly charges will be applied. Lost parking permits cost $50 (currently only at the Kuleana Resort), and beach towels not returned are $50/ea.. A damage waiver of $49 is required with each booking. The damage waiver is nonrefundable but will be applied towards any damages made to the unit.

18. KEYS/LOCKOUT POLICY - Your check-in instructions with either a key code or key release information will be provided to you prior to your arrival. It is your responsibility to bring this information with you. In the event a guest is locked out of the unit during the rental period, the guest may borrow a key by coming to the office. After business hours, the guest must call for assistance and an agent will meet the guest at the unit. There will be a $50 charge for this service and this fee is due at the time service is rendered. There will be a $30 charge for lost keys.

19. LOST AND FOUND ITEMS - We are not responsible for lost items. A $35 handling fee plus postage will be assessed for all lost and found items that have been recovered and returned to the guest.

20. RESERVATION CANCELLATION - Owner reserves the right to cancel any reservation with no less than a (90) day notice for any reason and return of entire deposit will be given. Owner/Manager has the right to cancel reservation if any maintenance issue beyond owner/managers control that would take away from the guests enjoyable stay or be deemed unsafe. Immediate notice will be given to the guest and all efforts will be made to relocate guests into other accomodations owned or managed by the Property Manager or full refund made.

21. CANCELLATIONS: A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date are subject to a Cancellation fee forfeiting the 25% damage/reservation deposit. Cancellations or changes that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation, shortened stays or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. You may choose to purchase travel insurance separately.

22. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS – Monthly renters must cancel one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least ninety (90) days prior to check-in.


I hereby authorize charges to be made against my credit card for the rental, taxes, cleaning and fees, and any damages, supplies and/or labor caused to the unit during my stay per this contract. I agree that all rental monies are non-refundable per cancellation policy above. I have read my rights to purchase travel insurance. RENTER BEWARE! Upon entering the unit it appeared to be decent but smaller than we expected. When we started unpacking our suitcases it became apparent how small it actually was. There was no place to put any of our clothes and shoes. There was no dresser with drawers so I had to put my folded clothes in a kitchen drawer. There was no possibility of hanging clothes as the closet was entirely jam packed with boogie boards, chairs, a porta-crib, vacuum, brooms and mops, leaning supplies, buckets and laundry basket and an ice chest. The safe in the closet did not have a key. The rental agent advised that we didn't need to use it anyway. We are not comfortable not having a safe for our valuables. The wind was whistling through the sliding door because it didn't seal properly. We decided that there was no way we could stay a entire week in there so we went booked another room in the same resort spending an additional $2100. If we were advised there was nowhere for our clothing and no 'working' safe, we would have never booked this room. The next day I called Stacy the rental agent and she was very rude. I asked if we could work something out, pro-rate, pay a couple of days rent and maybe a penalty. She said 'No, this is what you get...you get what you paid for....have a nice vacation' and hung up. I would never use Epic Realty again and at this point I would be very cautious about using Owner's Direct.

Almost Perfect I loved the spot and how everything I would need I had right there. Only thing that bothered me which wasn't a big deal was there wasn't any space for hanging clothes. The closet by the bathroom is full and the one right by the bathroom as you walk in was locked. LOVED OUR STAY My partner and I really loved our stay at Kaanapali Shores. This is was our first time using HomeAway. The location was perfect to all the spots we wanted to check out. Property was clean and well maintained. We didn't get to use the pool because we were too busy checking out the beaches. I would definitely recommend this place to someone else. Our favorite part of our trip was Road to Hana.

Lacks Ambience and location If your looking tfor ambience this would not be the place to settle. The location is one where you can hear the trucks and maintenance crews just outside the balcony. Your oceanview is a sliver of the pacific from quite a distance. The entry to this unit is dismal and the unit needs some TLC. It is tired looking. In addition, you will not find any place to store your clothing or belongings as there are no dressing. The unit manager is very attentive make up for the mediocre accommodations. I recommend spending a little bit more to enjoy your holiday.

A bit of paradise We absolutely loved our stay at Kaanapali Shores. Everything was conveniently close to us and within walking distance. Our room was clean and quiet. Nice, but could use a thorough cleaning. The location of this resort is perfect. There is a store across the street, a fish market a couple blocks North, beaches within walking distance... no complaints on the location of this resort at all! We ultimately loved our trip and for the money, this unit is in decent condition. However, there are a couple things that would make it a little more comfortable. There are ants in the cupboards in the kitchen and around the bathtub. The shower curtain liner is mildewed (needs to be replaced). The kitchen cupboards and stove top need to be seriously cleaned. The bathroom needs to be updated, but I don't expect these updates for the price we paid to rent the unit. But the cleanliness is something to be expected no matter what. Overall, I was happy with my stay and was able to look past the downfalls due to the perfect location.

One Month at Kaanapali Shores My husband and I are recently retired and one of the first things we wanted to do was to go to Maui and live for a month, without the tourist experience. This vacation was perfect for what we wanted. For the most part we were very satisfied with with this studio and were very satisfied with the resort. The size of our unit was perfect for us and we loved the new bed. We could tell that the tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom have been recently updated and we appreciated the nice granite counter tops. The main downside was however, in the first day or two of our stay, we couldn't figure out why the bottom of our feet were so black--turns out the hardwood and tile floors were not very clean, which I promptly fixed with a couple of scrubbings. It also looked as though it hadn't been dusted in a while, but all in all, easy things for me to fix. The appliances were clean and nicely updated. The Kaanapali Shores Resort is very centrally located and the resort is very well maintained with very friendly and helpful staff. We were within walking distance to great restaurants, grocery, and easy access to the boardwalk. We feel the studio unit is located perfectly for a 1-2 week stay, but since we were there for a month and spent quite a bit of time there, the location of this unit may not have been perfect for us. We slept every night with the sliding door open to take advantage of the wonderful breeze, but there was quite a bit of early morning noise. Directly below the unit there were daily morning deliveries, and the garbage/recycling area from the resort next door is located a few yards away, with garbage pick-up every morning. Epic Realty was wonderful to work with.The renting of the unit was seamless and they did a wonderful job of keeping us informed along the way. We will definitely go through Epic Realty on our next vacation.

Good value studio unit I rented a studio unit about 2 months before my vacation. It was the last one available in the complex so I wasn't sure what to expect though the pictures looked good. I was very pleased when I arrived. The unit was clean, comfortable and looked like the pictures. My only suggestion is that it was about time to replace or wash the shower curtain liner. Also, this unit doesn't really have much of a view. You can see the ocean a little in the distance over a building. I was more concerned with finding a place in the complex because I was traveling with a group than getting a unit with a view.

Lulled to Sleep by trade Winds! My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. Our only constructive comments are as follows and are ultra picky so please remember as you read this we Had A Lovely Time and happy hour by the pool is something not to be missed!!<br/><br/>And the title of this review is so very accurate. The winds blow at this end of the island more consistently then in Kehei and at night you will love how pleasant the winds are for sleeping.<br/><br/>Constructive Comments:<br/><br/>1) A written description of the responsibilities that exist between the private rental and the Hotel. As we discovered the hotel has very little to do with the room set up including the phone. All the connections to the front desk e.t.c. are not hooked up. My only concern regarding this was safety. What to do/ who to call in an emergency. With whom lies the responsibility? I would suggest that any guest ask for the phone to be hooked up. I discovered this our last couple of days. All you have to do is ask the front desk and they set it up with a push of a button.<br/><br/>2) We did not know where to put the full garbage bags. Is there a garbage disposal we should use? <br/><br/>3) Is there an onsite laundry unit in the hotel?<br/><br/>Loved it and highly recommend staying in this unit. <br/><br/><br/>

Comfortable condo in a great location We stayed here for four nights in October, which wasn't a super busy time. The condo was very comfortable with a king bed, couch, and stools at the counter for eating. We found the unit in clean, good condition and the check in/check out process was easy. The location was great - right across the street from a grocery store, and an amazing breakfast place (Slappy Cakes!).

Mahalo Maui - fun time! Rental experience was very satisfactory. The title on this review indicates $100 a night, which is not accurate. We were there in January and for 9 nights, it was $2,400. The rates apparently vary by season. Property Management company was great. We were given great instructions and they were in touch and very helpful and made our visit smooth. The property was clean and the kitchen and closet full of beach items was great. The resort staff was great!

624 Kaanapali Shores - small but comfortable We stayed 6 nights in January 2014. Condo complex is on a beautiful quiet beach; great amenities and on site restaurant with reasonably priced tasty food. Condo unit itself with far view of ocean/mountains over the trees/condo (not beach view) but down below the balcony an ugly drainage ditch/parking lot/storage site so we didn't sit out much. Unit would not easily accommodate 4 people (sofa bed/murphy bed when open take up all the space, only 2 small towel racks, only 3 stools at bar counter/no table and not enough plates/bowls for 4) but very comfortable and more than adequate for 2 people. Epic staff Ann Marie was excellent - great communicator, enthusiastic and quick to want to correct deficiencies which were present when we arrived (missing items for kitchen and not adequately cleaned kitchen/floor) - can't say enough good things about her. Very happy overall for the price that we paid.

Kaanipali Shores - Review of Experience We had asked on booking if the property was the same as the Aston Kaanipali villas, we were told yes, it was the same complex, but next door. We were part of a wedding group staying at the villas- turns out it was a mile and half away. Which left us right out of things, and complicated matters.<br/><br/>The room was mostly clean, but felt dirty. The pillow cases had drool marks and had a smell. <br/>The door to the patio did not seal properly, and there was a CONSTANT howling noise- as it was a super windy time on the island. <br/>The resort staff were friendly and the property was nice. The property management staff was extremely friendly and helpful, very attentive. I believe it was another person who gave us the wrong information about it being the same hotel.

642 Kaanapali Shores Small space for four adults. Lack of towels and other small amenities like soap and toilet paper an issue. Good location on the north Maui strip. Good tennis / pool availability. Basically no view from this unit.

Great Rental! The studio was a great size for my husband and I. The room had everything we needed. I cooked breakfast every morning and ate outside on the balcony. Although the scenery wasn't the best, it was my favorite way to get up in the morning! The bed is not so comfortable, but it wasn't bad. we would definitely stay here again!

December 2014 Anniversary in Maui Beautiful island! It's hard to be disappointed by anything in Maui. This little studio condo is charming. There is a tiny view however if a view is extremely important to you than you'll want to look for some place else, and of course pay more. However, our intention was not to spend lots of time in our room. This spot is perfect for an active couple or group of four who intend to get outside and explore the island. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need if you want to prepare all of your meals. We didn't really do that. We made coffee and ate fruit & yogurt in the morning, stored picnic foods for the afternoon and ate out most every night. If you're on a strict budget than prepare your own meals. Eating out gets expensive. The floors were sandy when we arrived so I had to do a thorough sweeping cause we wanted to walk around barefoot and not climb in bed with sandy feet. Nice, comfortable place.

Convenient location/ adequate accommodation Accommodations were very basic and adequate for 2 people (would be very crowded for 4). Loved the location and the attached hotel had good amenities that could be accessed such as parking($9.00 per day), pool, towels, fitness center ($10.00 per day), restaurant.<br/>No room safe available and minor maintenance required on doors and locks. Appliances all worked although TV and coffee pot very dated. Great location close to grocery store, beaches, beach walk, snorkelling, etc. Also, ocean view was very minimal as the unit is at the far end of the property and angled to look over a parking lot and another hotel. Air conditioning worked really well.

Kaanapali Shores Location is very convenient to restaurants, shopping, Lahaina, etc. Property was clean and in good shape. Use of hotel pool and towel service was very convenient as there isn't much of a beachfront. Had to use hotel lobby for WiFi. No key for room safe. Unfortunately, weather was too cold to make use of the balcony.

Time and money well spent! This was my wife's first trip to Maui and my second, we are a low maintenance couple and suite #642 at the Aston Kaanapali Shores Resort more than met our expectations. It was clean and comfortable, and a great place to unwind at the end of another long, adventurous day. The kitchen layout was very functional, with many of the basic items already provided. The living area was simple and tidy, and the murphy bed was a surprisingly comfortable sleep. The bathroom could maybe use a little updating but again it was clean and served our needs just fine. There were two Tommy Bahama folding beach chairs in the closet (everyone in Maui seemed to have them) which allowed us to lounge comfortably on any beach we wanted to enjoy, and if chairs aren't your thing two large complimentary beach towels were provided in addition to the towels that were already provided by the resort itself. The suite didn't have a washer/dryer but the resort had machines available which did a great job for a total of about $2.25. Our contact Helen from Epic Realty LLC made the booking process really simple, she sent us directions to the resort along with an app that would allow us to access our booking agreement, check-in and check out procedures, things to see and do, nearby restaurants and recommended establishments. We were also contacted by a concierge who would help us book experiences for our trip. We chose not to use this service but it was nice that it was provided. The staff at the Kaanapali Shores were wonderful, we had access to all of the resort amenities, and they treated us with the same high quality that they provided to all of the their other guests even though we were staying in a privately owned suite. We plan to come back to Maui again next year and would not hesitate to rent suite #642 again. If you want a nice stay and don't want to pay for the high prices at some of the other hotels this is the place for you!!! What are you waiting for? It's Maui.

My partner and I really loved our stay at Kaanapali Shores. This is was our first time using HomeAway. The location was perfect to all the spots we wanted to check out. Property was clean and well maintained. We didn't get to use the pool because we were too busy checking out the beaches. I would definitely recommend this place to someone else. Our favorite part of our trip was Road to Hana.

If your looking tfor ambience this would not be the place to settle. The location is one where you can hear the trucks and maintenance crews just outside the balcony. Your oceanview is a sliver of the pacific from quite a distance. The entry to this unit is dismal and the unit needs some TLC. It is tired looking. In addition, you will not find any place to store your clothing or belongings as there are no dressing. The unit manager is very attentive make up for the mediocre accommodations. I recommend spending a little bit more to enjoy your holiday.

Rental experience was very satisfactory. The title on this review indicates $100 a night, which is not accurate. We were there in January and for 9 nights, it was $2,400. The rates apparently vary by season. Property Management company was great. We were given great instructions and they were in touch and very helpful and made our visit smooth. The property was clean and the kitchen and closet full of beach items was great. The resort staff was great!

The location of this resort is perfect. There is a store across the street, a fish market a couple blocks North, beaches within walking distance... no complaints on the location of this resort at all! We ultimately loved our trip and for the money, this unit is in decent condition. However, there are a couple things that would make it a little more comfortable. There are ants in the cupboards in the kitchen and around the bathtub. The shower curtain liner is mildewed (needs to be replaced). The kitchen cupboards and stove top need to be seriously cleaned. The bathroom needs to be updated, but I don't expect these updates for the price we paid to rent the unit. But the cleanliness is something to be expected no matter what. Overall, I was happy with my stay and was able to look past the downfalls due to the perfect location.

My husband and I are recently retired and one of the first things we wanted to do was to go to Maui and live for a month, without the tourist experience. This vacation was perfect for what we wanted. For the most part we were very satisfied with with this studio and were very satisfied with the resort. The size of our unit was perfect for us and we loved the new bed. We could tell that the tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom have been recently updated and we appreciated the nice granite counter tops. The main downside was however, in the first day or two of our stay, we couldn't figure out why the bottom of our feet were so black--turns out the hardwood and tile floors were not very clean, which I promptly fixed with a couple of scrubbings. It also looked as though it hadn't been dusted in a while, but all in all, easy things for me to fix. The appliances were clean and nicely updated. I rented a studio unit about 2 months before my vacation. It was the last one available in the complex so I wasn't sure what to expect though the pictures looked good. I was very pleased when I arrived. The unit was clean, comfortable and looked like the pictures. My only suggestion is that it was about time to replace or wash the shower curtain liner. Also, this unit doesn't really have much of a view. You can see the ocean a little in the distance over a building. I was more concerned with finding a place in the complex because I was traveling with a group than getting a unit with a view.

We stayed here for four nights in October, which wasn't a super busy time. The condo was very comfortable with a king bed, couch, and stools at the counter for eating. We found the unit in clean, good condition and the check in/check out process was easy. The location was great - right across the street from a grocery store, and an amazing breakfast place (Slappy Cakes!).

We stayed 6 nights in January 2014. Condo complex is on a beautiful quiet beach; great amenities and on site restaurant with reasonably priced tasty food. Condo unit itself with far view of ocean/mountains over the trees/condo (not beach view) but down below the balcony an ugly drainage ditch/parking lot/storage site so we didn't sit out much. Unit would not easily accommodate 4 people (sofa bed/murphy bed when open take up all the space, only 2 small towel racks, only 3 stools at bar counter/no table and not enough plates/bowls for 4) but very comfortable and more than adequate for 2 people. Epic staff Ann Marie was excellent - great communicator, enthusiastic and quick to want to correct deficiencies which were present when we arrived (missing items for kitchen and not adequately cleaned kitchen/floor) - can't say enough good things about her. Very happy overall for the price that we paid.

We had asked on booking if the property was the same as the Aston Kaanipali villas, we were told yes, it was the same complex, but next door. We were part of a wedding group staying at the villas- turns out it was a mile and half away. Which left us right out of things, and complicated matters.<br/><br/>The room was mostly clean, but felt dirty. The pillow cases had drool marks and had a smell. <br/>The door to the patio did not seal properly, and there was a CONSTANT howling noise- as it was a super windy time on the island. <br/>The resort staff were friendly and the property was nice. The property management staff was extremely friendly and helpful, very attentive. I believe it was another person who gave us the wrong information about it being the same hotel.

The studio was a great size for my husband and I. The room had everything we needed. I cooked breakfast every morning and ate outside on the balcony. Although the scenery wasn't the best, it was my favorite way to get up in the morning! The bed is not so comfortable, but it wasn't bad. we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful island! It's hard to be disappointed by anything in Maui. This little studio condo is charming. There is a tiny view however if a view is extremely important to you than you'll want to look for some place else, and of course pay more. However, our intention was not to spend lots of time in our room. This spot is perfect for an active couple or group of four who intend to get outside and explore the island. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need if you want to prepare all of your meals. We didn't really do that. We made coffee and ate fruit & yogurt in the morning, stored picnic foods for the afternoon and ate out most every night. If you're on a strict budget than prepare your own meals. Eating out gets expensive. The floors were sandy when we arrived so I had to do a thorough sweeping cause we wanted to walk around barefoot and not climb in bed with sandy feet. Nice, comfortable place.

Accommodations were very basic and adequate for 2 people (would be very crowded for 4). Loved the location and the attached hotel had good amenities that could be accessed such as parking($9.00 per day), pool, towels, fitness center ($10.00 per day), restaurant.<br/>No room safe available and minor maintenance required on doors and locks. Appliances all worked although TV and coffee pot very dated. Great location close to grocery store, beaches, beach walk, snorkelling, etc. Also, ocean view was very minimal as the unit is at the far end of the property and angled to look over a parking lot and another hotel. Air conditioning worked really well.

Location is very convenient to restaurants, shopping, Lahaina, etc. Property was clean and in good shape. Use of hotel pool and towel service was very convenient as there isn't much of a beachfront. This was my wife's first trip to Maui and my second, we are a low maintenance couple and suite #642 at the Aston Kaanapali Shores Resort more than met our expectations. It was clean and comfortable, and a great place to unwind at the end of another long, adventurous day. The kitchen layout was very functional, with many of the basic items already provided. The living area was simple and tidy, and the murphy bed was a surprisingly comfortable sleep. The bathroom could maybe use a little updating but again it was clean and served our needs just fine. There were two Tommy Bahama folding beach chairs in the closet (everyone in Maui seemed to have them) which allowed us to lounge comfortably on any beach we wanted to enjoy, and if chairs aren't your thing two large complimentary beach towels were provided in addition to the towels that were already provided by the resort itself.
