    "True" ski-in/ski-out home - You NEVER have to take a step in your ski boots. Our home is the closest house on the mountain to a ski trail. 3 beautiful, huge King beds, a double trundle that can convert to a King, a double and a futon that folds down to a twin. The front dining area, balcony and Master bedroom window seat all have panoramic views of the Columbia river valley and the Canadian Rockies. Heated wood and slate floors. Air hockey, table tennis and pool table await you down in the den. We have lots of board games, cards, puzzles and movies for your use. We are two avid skiers who bought our house for ski trips with family and friends and eventual retirement. We first skied at Kicking Horse in 2004 as part of our yearly ski trip with friends to the Canadian Rockies. Our day at Kicking Horse was the favorite of everyone on the trip. We couldn't believe how great the snow was, how big the mountain was and how few people there were. In 2009 we were looking to buy and we decided to come back to double check if everything we remembered about it was true. It was and we happened to stumble upon a great deal on this home and jumped at the opportunity. With any life changing event there is always a little voice that wonders if you are doing the right thing. That voice went away and never came back after we had to stop for a black wolf in the middle of the road between Banff and Golden. We knew this was the place for us. We hope that you will consider experiencing our wonderful home and get as much enjoyment out of it as we do.

    The house is situated at the bottom of Sunburst Drive with 2 parking spaces. The parking is kept clear by Sun Peaks Property Services, as are the stairs down to the suite, which has its own entrance. We are usually present over the winter season, but if we are not around, Property Services can provide help. A short walk up the road (300m) will put you on Connector and access to resort's main ski lifts. If this is too much for the kids, a short drive will put you at one of the main car parks. You can return to within 50m of the house getting to Connector via Blazer, Runaway or Tighten Yer Boots. The suite is SE facing with big windows, high ceilings and receives sun for the majority of the day. The door in the living room provides access to a large flat backyard - great snowman and igloo territory. We occasionally see deer in the backyard. The kitchen has a full sized stove, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. We provide everything you need to cater for your family. There are two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, dresser, nightstand, mirror and wardrobe. Bedroom 2 has a whister bunk (double, single), single bed, nightstand, dresser, mirror and wardrobe. There is a queen hide abed in the living area for maximum flexibility with sleeping arrangements. Although we max out with 6 renters, there are beds and bedding for 8. The bathroom has a combination shower/tub, vanity, dedicated hot water and a plentiful supply of towels. The hot tub is by the door to the apartment. Hot tub is listed as shared with one other property which is the owners. There are some flip flops and beach towels for your use. The living room allows you to kick back and relax whilst can watch the kids play in the ample backyard. The suite has everything you need to relax at home and is convenient for the village if you wish to venture out. This is a fabulous family location Summer and Winter.

    If you want to stay in a real home rather than a rental unit then this is the house for you. Our family house has over 5,000 sq/ft of luxury space over three floors. You have 7 full bedrooms plus den, as well as 4 large living rooms, so you have plenty of luxurious privacy. There are two hot-tubs, 2 laundry rooms and a sauna. On the upper floor we have 2 master suites - each with sitting-room and en-suite, 2 luxury double bedrooms (both with en-suite) and a kids bunk room. The ground floor has a huge new main kitchen/diner with island, breakfast table and a new sitting area with awesome mountain views from the sofas (the coffee/reading/collapsing-after-the-hot-tub area). Outside the kitchen is a huge deck with BBQ and awesome views. There are three entry lobbies all with ski racks, boot storage and underfloor heating. The rear main deck has BBQ and hot-tub overlooking the Monashees. The ground floor also has the main living/dining room with leather sofas, wood stove and pine dining table for 12. This four storey home has four bedrooms which will sleep a maximum of ten persons. The master bedroom has a king size bed with an ensuite bathroom and gas fireplace. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, bedroom three has two twin-over-double bunk beds, bedroom four has a single twin-over-double sleeping arrangement. There is also a hide-a-bed couch in the downstairs TV room. There are a total of three bathrooms. The kitchen area features granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, a gas stove, ample cupboard space with a breakfast bar and is also adjacent to the formal dining area. The living area features a luxurious leather couch and love seat along with a comfy easy chair with ottoman and a gas fireplace to keep cozy around. Other amenities include a hot tub, BBQ, three decks to enjoy the views from, a TV room, a boot/gear room, laundry, a double garage and plenty of storage.

    An ideal retreat for a family or two to three couples who desire a little luxury on their outdoor vacation. Private hot tub, three full bathrooms, and a very well equipped kitchen, and secure WIFI. What more could you want. WE'VE got it. The back deck has a covered area for the private six-person hot tub and the BBQ, and uncovered area used in the summer to enjoy the alpine garden, a great view of the Monshee Mountains and the warmth of the afternoon sunshine. Away from the village center but close enough to the action that you never need to get in your car. Quiet, convenient, summer and winter. Up one level from entry (boots, skis, coats, etc.) is the second level with (a high vaulted ceiling)in the living room, kitchen and dining area (large table that seats 8). The kitchen island will seat four on stools. There is a patio table and chairs on deck in the summer. An alpine garden is being created off the deck. An assortment of board games, puzzles, and books are provided. Iron and ironing board on premises.
