    The guesthouse is situated inside the private estate of the well-known "Glass House", just 70 meters from the spectacular cliffs of Loiba. The estate sits on top of a hill overlooking the small village of Loiba to the south-east and the ocean and Estaca DE Bares to the north-east. It is the perfect place to enjoy the solitude and tranquility that this country/ocean setting has to offer. The guesthouse has a loft-like distribution with an open kitchen but a long, sliding door offers the option of closing off the bedroom from the living/dining/kitchen area. There is a wood-burning stove which not only offers warmth and comfort for those cooler days and evenings, but the sound of the crackling fire and flickering flames add a cozy touch and even company, like another welcome guest. The kitchen is fully equipped allowing for abundant breakfasts, cozy lunches, afternoon tea, or romantic dinners. When the weather permits those meals can be had on the porch. Local jams, produce and bread are available upon request. Dinners in our main house with us can also be arranged subject to our availability with 24 Hour advance notice. Prix fixe of 25€ per person. Bicycles are all available at the house. The guesthouse has been furnished as if it were our own home with personal touches and we hope that our guests will feel so comfortable that they will never want to leave. The house is a 10 minute walk to the beautiful beach, Playa DE Fabega, a 15 minute walk to Picon, another spectacular beach, and a 30-40 minute walk to Esteiro, a beach well-known to surfers but also perfect for families since the Esteiro river ends there, making it perfect for children to swim in since the water is calm and very shallow. All these locations can also be reached by bicycle, motorbike, or car. Although most people come visit the area by car, one could also easily come here without one. The FEVE train station(daily trains to and from Ferrol) is just down the hill about 400 meters away and the bus station (daily buses to and from LA Coruña and Santiago DE Compstela) is just 700 meters away. There is a small supermarket about 400 meters away that has absolutely everything, several Bars/cafés, and a very good restaurant that offers local cuisine. The activities in the area endless, I could easily write a book. There are options for everyone ranging from hiking, fishing, horseback riding, surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing, kayaking, quad excursions, bird watching, or simply relaxing at one the dozens of beautiful beaches...Espasante beach, Celtigos, Sarridal, Carro, Fabega, Picon, Esteiro, Vilela, Vares, Caolín, Xilloi, Abrela...And many more!

Murcia is the regional capital and well worth a visit (approx. 30 mins drive away). For those with children, It is also home to Terra Natura Zoo & Water park. The nearest beach/port town is Puerto DE Mazarron (20 mins drive). This is a thriving town, popular with tourists as well as locals. Whilst I would not recommend the beach there, it has an attractive marina, and is a good place to book boat trips, fishing and diving and has numerous good bars and restaurants. Cartegena (45 mins drive) is a similarly good choice for boat trip and boats stunning architecture and a Roman Theatre. For beach fun Bolnuevo (30 mins drive) is a good option as it is a nice beach yet close to shops, restaurants and other amenities. Playa Percheles (35 mins drive) is also a very attractive spot, but is unspoilt and lacks the amenities of Bolneuvo).
