Peace and calm during a pandemic We stayed two weeks in this great home, and would have stayed longer if it had been available. Quiet neighborhood; great outdoor spaces with views over the city; comfortable, attractive interior; and tons of books and artwork. The kitchen was really well-stocked with everything we could possibly need. We'd like to return.

Wonderful house but bedroom issues We loved most aspects of this property but gave it only three stars due to several cons, described below.<br/><br/>First, however, the many pros. We loved the location, the grounds are wonderful, and the view is fabulous. The house is small but feels very spacious due to an open floor plan. The decor is perfectly in keeping with the house and there are tons of books to browse. The kitchen is large, updated, and very well stocked. There is a nice dining area. The lighting is excellent and the air conditioners kept the temperature very comfortable.<br/><br/>The cons primarily concern the bedrooms. We did not stay in the master bedroom because the bed is set on 18 inch wooden posts and the top is 3 feet off the ground. (The website photos do not show this.) I would literally have had to climb up to get on it and slide or jump down to get out. This did not feel safe -- even for my husband who is 5'11'. In addition, the bed was too close to the wall on one side and had no nightstand or lamp on the other.<br/><br/>So we stayed in the other bedroom which was quite pleasant but the windows had no coverings at all. Most people, myself included, need a dark room to sleep. This room never got dark and got very light as soon as the sun rose. While it looked onto the private yard and view, a stranger could walk around the house to the back and look right in.<br/><br/>The second bedroom also lacked a nightstand on one side, but I used a chair, which was possible because the bed was at a normal height. The room also did not have a closet or dresser. Fortunately there were only two of us so we used the closet in the master bedroom, but if unrelated people were using both rooms, it could be awkward to share a closet located in one of the rooms.<br/><br/>I also found the bed in the second room too soft.<br/><br/>Finally, on our third day, we had an invasion of small ants in one part of the kitchen. Scenic Views We were looking for a place to get away from a small apartment in New York, and found the perfect place here. Backyard is terrific. A lovely deck, a green lawn, a BBQ area and a seating area that looks out to an amazing view. Friends who live in LA said it was best views they've seen. Kitchen is extremely well-stocked. Furniture is basic but fine. Spacious bathrooms. Neighborhood is lovely, if you don't mind very steep hills!
