Awesome Pet-Friendly Rental! This condo was exactly what we were looking for. Clean, pet-friendly and located near Canyon Lodge. Check in process was easy and staff was very polite. Would definitely stay here again.

Away from the Hubbub We had a great stay at Courcheval 1. Located high up near the Canyon Lifts, it is as far as one can get from the madness of Mammoth center, and still be on the trolley line. We were given bad keys, but a friendly manager let us in. The steep stairs were loose a bolt, and made entry and exit death-defying, but we had a great time. You can walk to the earthquake fault from here.

Weekend Getaway The property was as described. The location to Canyon is perfect and a pretty easy walk, even in the snowy conditions. There was the potential of not having a fireplace due to snow damage, but the management notified me well in advance of my stay and to our surprise the fireplace was up and running during our stay. This place could use a little more lighting in the master bedroom, as opening the curtains is not an option due to the proximity of the neighbors front door. The coffee table, while beautiful, is not very practical. Barring these minor details I would highly recommend staying her. The management company was excellent and I will rent from them again.

Great location The location is great with easy access to Canyon. Being a end unit with access from the road was nice. The layout was good but every dated and not enough lighting. The first night we woke up and had no heat, called the management company who sent out someone it was the main fuse because we had 3 heaters running. All the electrical was old. Response from Mammoth Sierra Reservations; Friday, May 26, 2017 Hi Diane, Glad to hear you enjoyed the location and proximity to Canyon Lodge! Sounds like you had a slight issue during your stay with the heat and our office staff was on it. I will make sure the owner is aware of the issue. Thanks, Cindy

Not great, but close to slopes and village Not the best, cleanest, most updated place I've ever stayed. Seemed like the place hasn't been updated in 10-15 years. Mattress/bed was extremely old. Noticed a few bugs, long hairs in the bed and bathroom. Overall, would not stay here again. Response from Mammoth Sierra Reservations; Wednesday, June 14, 2017 Hi Dave, Thanks for the review. While the condo does seem a bit outdated, it is a great value for the location and being pet-friendly and I can assure you it is clean, maybe doesnt seem like it because of some outdated furniture. Most guests find it a great place to stay in the Winter with their pet. Hope next time you are in Mammoth you will come back and see us. Thanks, Cindy

Super outdated, was just fine The condo is definitely pet friendly. Very outdated and looks like everything is original from the 70s, maybe event the carpet. The layout was good and there were huge windows in the living room but the Master bedroom was super dark. It only had one window that didn't have a screen and opened to the neighbors. Also were were warned that there was construction going on in the complex, but didn't realize they would be replacing the windows right above our room on Friday morning, and taking the siding off the whole building on Monday. It was really close to Canyon, but in the summer, it was a bit of a walk to the Village. The stairs were metal and open and not good if you have a dog that is a little to big to carry.

Under Construction, Under Impressed! We arrived at midnight to our condo, construction was being done on the outside of our Condo. the sidding was missing from one whole side. .Our first impression while your parking outside your garage is, this is what the outside of our condo looks like.. no outside lighting going up stairs to front door. This was a safety hazard. There was large nails and other debris covered our whole entrance patio. This was another safety issue. Heater in Condo wasn't working. It was too late and we were too tired to wait for a handyman. We called the handyman next morning and he fixed outside light, heater and cleaned up front patio. There wasn't one day we didn't talk about the situation. We also invited another couple. So now we feel like we owe them another vacation. . I feel and hope the management would reimburse us or offer another stay. I am waiting for a call back.

Great location but needs a makeover We have rented this place on several occasions due to being dog friendly and located in a great spot. We have gone other places due to the deteriorating condition in recent years. We tried again and were dismayed that NOTHING has been done other than a little TV and a working internet ( which is a start). I would encourage the owners to do a little something like clean the carpets , change some flooring , buy better lighting in living room and bedroom and upgrade the kitchen a little bit. I understand that you may not want to invest much in the property but a little cleaning and TLC would make a huge improvement. Sorry to say, this is probably off the list again for a while. Response from Mammoth Sierra Reservations; Tuesday, January 17, 2017 Hi Diane. Thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed the location being so close to Canyon Lodge. I will pass your comments along to the owner of the condo. Hope you come back to us and maybe check out some of the other pet friendly condos we have available. Thanks, Cindy

Unit #1 is worst place I've ever stayed in Mammoth Lakes! Other than the location being perfect for walking to Canyon Lodge, we were disappointed. The unit is very old and outdated and needs a MAJOR overhaul. Mattress's are extremely uncomfortable and probably 20+ years old, along with bedding/blankets/pillows(was thankful we brought our own) Draperies/blinds don't close in any of the rooms completely. Fireplace we couldn't use because the front cover was broken. When you turn up the volume on the TV so you can hear it, the speakers vibrate, very annoying. This is a pet friendly unit, which is why we choose it, however...there was animal hair everywhere when we arrived and we even found a human tooth on the table! The unit is just DIRTY and we felt dirty the entire time we stayed. The counter from the kitchen to the living area looks like its ready to fall off(it appears they've tried to fix it in lieu of replacing). We booked this last minute so we had limited choices but definitely not worth what is being charged to stay. We've been coming to Mammoth for 35+ years and was the worst rental we've ever stayed in. Response from Mammoth Sierra Reservations; Tuesday, January 17, 2017 Hi Elizabeth. Thanks for the review and I apologize the condo did not live up to your expectations. I will have one of our maintenance staff address the issues you were having and make recommendations to the owner for upgrades as needed. In the future, if you are unhappy with your stay please give us a call as soon as possible so we can address the issues you are having. Thanks, Cindy

Many dishes in cabinets were dirty. Bedding, pillows are old and should be replaced. Snow removal was great. Twice a day for stairs. Fire wood was damp, I wouldn't rent this unit again. Pet friendly does not have to look like this. Not a housekeeping issue. Just really old and neglected. Response from Mammoth Sierra Reservations; Friday, May 26, 2017 Hi Janeen, Thanks for your review. I hope you had a fantastic time with your dog while staying in this condo during the record breaking snowfall... sounds like you did from the title of your review! While this condo is on the older side the location to the slopes is fantastic, and yes it is pet-friendly! I will bring your comments to the owner and see what we can do about having some upgrades made. Thanks, Cindy

Parking the only drawback Upon checking in, in addition to the condo keys, the rental provides two parking passes. These parking passes are in addition to the "2 car" garage below the unit. Having driven up in an Ford F-150 pick-up, my truck did not fit in the parking garage - and it wasn't even close. Using the parking pass, I parked my truck in the driveway of the unit. The first morning, I received a citation stating this wasn't a parking area and that I had to move my truck (apparently they park the snow plows here - but there are ample places to park the snow plow that aren't in a condos driveway). I had to move my truck to the side of a street, which once plowed, blocked my truck in. I still don't understand why parking isn't allowed in a unit's own driveway. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay - great location. The condo is very dated, but we enjoyed it.

Disappointing The unit has definitely seen better days. The beds should have been replaced years ago as they sagged to the outside. Dishes and glasses were dirty and had to be cleaned prior to use. The front door lock was a little tricky to get it to work. Overall lighting was poor inside. It was great that it was pet friendly, however the 20 grated steps up to the front door were not conducive to the paws of our 13 lb aussie. Therefore, we had to carry her up and down the steps. This is a corner/end unit with very nice views and a double car garage. The chairs at the dining room table probably should be replaced or reconditioned. Beds are comfortable and the additional table and chairs in the living room were much appreciated. The maintenance crew at the complex were very quick to clean up the snow both outside and on the staircase after a snowstorm that came in while we were there.
We would stay here again and would recommend to others. Close walk to Canyon Lodge and you can bring your dog We visited to go skiing. About a ten/fifteen minute walk in ski boots to Canyon lodge. Kitchen has everything you need. We went over Christmas and did all of our own cooking since it's so crowded over holidays in Mammoth and hard to get dinner reservations anywhere.Nice to have a two car garage. Managers on site super friendly and helpful. You need to carry your luggage up two flights of outdoor stairs which might be too strenuos for some people. Big dining table seats a large group and extra game table made it a nice space for family to hang out after skiing. Jacuzzi not close to this unit which discouraged us from using. Loved bringing the family dog without rental company making it a hassle with strict rules like other rental properties we looked at. The property is what I expected, not high luxury, well used and aging but everything works. Internet worked fine. I'd definitely book this condo again. Check-in is not until 4 pm so guests are likely tired and would like to freshen up. The master bedroom was dark and scary; the 'third' bedroom in the loft was really not usable as the bed was only a few inches away from the ceiling. The curtains in the in the living rom were raggedy. There is no wifi; there are no channels in living room tv. Garage has no direct access to the unit and was not big enough to fit a Toyota Tundra. On the plus side, it is walking distance to Canyon lodge, which was great since we were there in the middle of a snowstorm!

This is an older condo with single pane windows, so it got cold if the drapes were opened. It wasn't pretty, but was comfortable and the ski locker made the location work. Also, knives are very, very dull. Usually I bring a sharpener, but I forgot. Also the numbers on the units were difficult to see at night and the hot tub location was not very obvious, so a map of the complex would be nice to have in advance. There is one on the internet, print it out before you go. There is a plug in internet connection, the wireless did not work well. Bring a long connector.

For us the location was the best- 5 min walk and we were at the lodge. Ski locker was also a plus, although it was a little tricky to open. Thanks for a great stay!

Our family had a great visit, great conditions and only a short walk from Canyon Lodge. The condo came with a ski locker at Canyon Lodge that was a nice touch. Condo was cozy and we will be back.

Location was awesome, the place is a bit old and outdated, but comfy and relatively clean (crumbs around table legs and coffee table on carpets), found remote in couch cushion. No internet is a bummer. Stairs should have been shoveled clean of snow before check in - had to call the following day - no shovel in unit. Overall we were pleased with the place, especially since it allowed us to have our dog along for the trip.

Too many people around this complex allow their dogs to run around unleashed and both myself and my daughter almost got attacked on several occasions - or were threatned at the very least.

I really enjoyed the place. It's totally dated and could use a good scrub down and dusting but it was like stepping back in time, the location was awesome, they have an interesting collection of VCR (yes I said VCR) tapes, and we loved it. I'll be back and ask for the same rental. Oh.. and we were able to bring our pet which was the icing on the cake.

The property is dated, certainly, but the location makes up for it. We needed a place to bring pets, so can't be too picky about the decor understandably. We have two small children and were easily able to take a break midday to check in on them and the sitter and grab lunch. The kitchen was comfortable and well equipped and we made good use of it. We ate at Austria hof, just a block away, and loved it. My two year old loved the village gondola and we rode it for fun every day of our stay.

Beds were comfortable & location was excellent, but unit was extremely worn and threadbare. Broken things: vase upstairs, wine glass, at least 2 chairs, with several chairs close to broken, and tea kettle. Ripped curtains, short in the outlet upstairs for clock radio, burned-out light bulbs in dining room, downstairs bedroom & entry. Reading lamps nonexistent downstairs. Fan & all the trinkets haven't been dusted in years; allergies went haywire. Dining room table unusable, as legs were loose. Downstairs TV in eternal menu-mode. Owner needs to invest in new furniture, window coverings, and carpet.

For $300 a night, you'd expect a TV that functions normally and some updates from at least the 80's!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Courchevel #1. It located in a peaceful neighborhood and clean and neat. The only drawback was that the sliding door to the balcony(along witht the screen door) was VERY sticky and hard to open. The decor is a bit rustic but that didn't detract much from the large floor to ceiling windows and comfortable living room.

Dirty throughout. Both pullout beds broken. Kitchen drawer broken. Curtains broken. Carpets filthy. Dining room chairs broken. Patio sliding door broken . Dirty blankets for pullout bed. Ripped open pillow shoved in upstairs closet with feathers throughout. Loft bunk beds closed off with dirty linens left to view. Stayed here last year and has gone down hill drastically. Needs major attention. Could be a great place due to location! Very disappointed!

It's dated and drafty, but a nice size for 2 couples. The 2nd room is upstairs and has an additional loft with bunk beds, and a bathroom. Would be good for a couple with kids. It has a dining table and a card table which is nice. I recommend bringing your own pillows and blankets, as theirs are pretty ragged. The 2 car garage could not fit a Ford F150, and barely squeezed in my Edge. The unit could use a little TLC, but the price was good, location was good...and the skiing/boarding was GREAT! We'll be back...with our own pillows!

We were really happy with this condo.
We were pleasantly suprised to find that in addition to the 2 bedrooms, there was an extra loft with a bunk bed thats not mentioned in the property description. Easily in walking distance to canyon lodge/canyon lift.

We stayed in Unit #1. The place is old and run down. There was no hot water when we got to the room. I would suggest that the water heater be turned the day before or day of check in so that guests have immediate access to hot water. One good thing was that there were coffee suuplies available in the kitchen.

We thought the property and set up of the condo were great. We loved the old decor and thought it gave it a rustic feel. We were surprised to find a loft with twin beds in the upstairs bedroom. The condo was a short walk to Canyon lodge which was great to be able to go back for lunch easily. We did not travel with any pets and think its great that it is a pet friendly property, but did find too much animal hair on the extra blankets. The little bit on the couches was no big deal, but I think the linens could use a deep cleaning.Would we rent it again? YES...just bringing our own extra linens.

Only one think will recomended for this property that internet is not a WI-Fi which should improve. Young crowd looking for DVD player not a VCR. So I recomended to upgrade. BBQ need to be change and foling apart this is a very danger for fire hazardus for this property, so need to be upgrade. Cleaning arrive late and complete cleaning at 4:30 which we wait outside tired after driving a car 300 miles. Will rate this time at 5, and live my comments up to the owner to decide to make those changes. TV is to old need to be change for bigger one and have access to PPV and other sources to watch movies at night with good picture quality.

Although a little in need of updating, condo was lean and well appointed, considering it is pet friendly. Only unforeseen issue were snow plows starting at 6 am each during heavy snow. Booming and scraping of plows as a sustained wake up call! Location great to Canyon. We'd probably rent again with dogs

The condo is very outdated and needs a good cleaning. The rental company should inspect the units more often than once a year as they indicated to me. The clutter in the closets, dirty carpets and surfaces are inexcusable. The pros; dogs are allowed, garage beneath condo, location. Too bad more places would allow dogs. Don't expect luxury. But, it was home for several days.

The only problem we had was at the very beginning of the stay- it was very cold and could not get the temp over 55 degrees! We made it through the night with cuddling and then called the company 1st thing in the morning, who came to fix this within 30 minutes. Then it was nice and toasty. Nice collection of old VHS movies! We had a great and comfortable weekend.
