Maui Sunset-Best kept island secret!
The views were magical; the location unreal! Super friendly staff with great amenities and when you’re here, time stands still. You can do as little or as much as you want! Our unit was warm and welcoming and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. 5 stars all the way!

Family get away
We had a wonderful time at the Maui Sunset, the views at this ocean front property are amazing. A get away together as a family, from winter weather to a sunny, warm, tropical, ocean front property is a gift to each other that we know will be memorable for ours and our children’s lifetimes. Maui Sunset’s location is perfect for playing in the ocean, while allowing us to quickly get to other popular island sights. We walked to nice local sights and restaurants, and had every convenience for when we just wanted to stay on sight and enjoy arranging our own meals, too. The amenities at the property are plentiful, from a putting green, pool/jacuzzi, gym, shuffle board, tennis, pickle ball, and more; we enjoyed them all. And at the pool there’s a kind person that makes reservations, or recommendations, for every popular adventure available on the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our Whale Watching trip, spotted multiple whales, and had a few curious ones come right up to the boat.

Maui Sunset Vacation
LOCATION was perfect. This was our first time in Kihei and we loved it. The condo was as described. The kitchen/living area is spacious and accommodated four adults just right. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of pans/utensils/plates. We ate some meals in but mostly enjoyed the many choices of restaurants nearby. The two bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the opposite side of the kitchen facing the outside hall. It was quiet and being near the hall was not a problem. One queen bed in the master with attached bathroom and two twins with a bathroom across the hall. The twin beds were not the most comfortable but it still worked. The lanai is large with a table for four and two lounge chairs. We spent every morning and evening enjoying the unobstructed ocean view. Right below was the pool,spa, tennis court and shuffleboards. The pool and spa were cleaned daily and always plenty of lounge chairs. Everytime we walked out to the property someone was cleaning the elevator and grounds. Staff was friendly. I highly recommend this property for your next visit.

This balcony was nothing short of amazing!!
The balcony here is every bit as good as the picture looks. Views are amazing, kitchen is really well-stocked, and the pool area and grounds at this resort are so clean and well-kept. The condo itself is a great size - which is what we were looking for with two teenagers. It wasn’t fancy, but certainly had everything you need. If you’re looking for lots of space, and ocean views to sit and drink coffee every morning and watch the sunset every night, this is the place. It’s a short drive to restaurants and grocery stores, so you’d want a car. Otherwise, we liked that the location was slightly out of the busier Kihei area. We would definitely stay again.

Very nice condo
The condo was perfect for the four of us and what a view. The kitchen and living area was laid out nicely and the bedrooms were nice too. Thanks to the owners for having beach chairs available and for stocking the kitchen with all the necessary dishes, utensils, etc.

Great view, great location, a little dated
The location is terrific, but the condo is a bit dated and somewhat anonymously furnished. The master bedroom is small and made smaller by too much furniture, and its one window faces the exterior hallway and elevators. The balcony is the main selling point, with a terrific ocean view. It does overlook the pool, so there is the sound of kids and adults coming from there -- it's not unpleasant, but it's definitely present all day.

Highly Recommend!!!
We had the best experience staying at Maui Sunset and will be returning again year after year! The grounds are gorgeous, the pool is cleaned daily, and every room has a beautiful view! Kihei has some really great restaurants in the area and so we didn't have to go far for great food and things to do with the family! Thank you for the wonderful vacation experience!

Kihei, Maui - beautiful location
Easy check-in even when our flight was delayed and we arrived after hours (but we did make a phone call in advance of travel just to be sure we knew where we were to check in.) Most people followed the COVID guidelines for the condo regarding masks in public areas.

Great Property- Beautiful Sunsets - Relaxed Atmosphere- Clean
We spent 5 nights in a 2B 2B Oceanfront Unit- Everything was ready for our arrival even not getting into Maui until 10:30pm. Unit was clean and comfortable. Our only suggestion would be to replace the knobs on the stove. After so much cleaning the writing has been completely worn off. Hard to tell how hot the burners were....minor inconvenience. This is a great property for Families with a whole lot of beautiful lawn and grounds to play on. Great beach out front for walking and looking for shells. We would definitely come back! Thank you!

Great Views of the Ocean
While the property is a bit dated, the 5th floor location facing the ocean provided a spectacular view. Renee was very helpful answering any questions prior to my stay. I booked through but would recommend booking direct and avoid 3rd party communication complications. May also improve chance at a reduced rate.

Another 10 days in Paradise!
Having stayed at Maui Sunset several times in the 2000 - 2010 period, it was a pleasant surprise to see how little has changed in 2016! Fantastic views, cooking and socializing at the communal BBQ, beautiful pool and grounds, etc. Only two complaints. The beds in unit B519 are the hardest, worst things we have ever experienced, and we do a LOT of traveling. Also, the sound of occasional 7:00 am Pickleball matches (imagine table tennis amp'd about 1000%) was not welcome. But all-in-all, I'd highly recommend Maui Sunset.

Maui Sunset Resort
Had premium room with outstanding West facing ocean view. Nice property, very well maintained and met our needs nicely. Concierge desk was fantastic in helping us arrange many activities that we really enjoyed. Since this was our first visit, this was invaluable!

The perfect holiday destination
Not our first time at the Maui Sunset. We come back because of the outstanding location and facilities. <br/>For the value this place is hidden gem. The grounds are always in impeccable shape, the pool always clean and inviting. The beach is just a few steps away. What more can you ask for. <br/><br/>This visit we had an issue with the refrigerator not working properly. We called late at night to leave a message. We had a call back that night and the service man, Jeff was ant the rental unit that next morning, exceptional!!

Great Maui Getaway
This is an excellent location for a get away in Maui. I travel with windsurfing companions and Maui Sunset is the perfect spot. As I don't windsurf there is plenty to do on the grounds and also nearby.<br/>Our unit was spacious and mostly clean with good amenities.<br/>A few small issues include no safe in our unit, mouldy shower curtains and the microwave was filthy the first time we went to use it.<br/>Also while having a late swim in pool with friends (before 10pm close) I was shocked to see the security guard hiding in the bushes watching us swim, this was a bit creepy. Also one night same guard came to our friends lanai and accused us of smoking, only problem is none of our party smoke, so he was very wrong.<br/>We had other friends staying at Maui Sunset and are all middle aged professionals, so when we socialised we felt a bit uncomfortable with the security targeting us a couple of times. We ensured we followed the 10pm quiet rules for the comfort of other guests.<br/>Other than this our stay was great.

Family week in Maui
We had a great time here and I think the highlight was the view and the spacious lanai. This is a fantastic condo and I don't have any complaints, just some helpful info for people when they rent this place. The kitchen had supples for making everything. Just so you know, they don't have spices so you'll need to bring your own. They also don't have a rice cooker. There are plenty of towels for showers and beach. They have a few beach chairs and some noodles. We were very happy with our stay, mahalo and aloha.

Great location.
We enjoyed our stay at Maui Sunset. The Lanai and view were wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped. The bedrooms were small however the kitchen living and dining area where spacious.The carpeted areas need to be cleaned or replaced. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Ocean view rental
We always enjoy our stay at the Maui Sunset. However we still have one continuous wish: both bedrooms should be furnished with Queen beds. The kitchen area should have a more thourgh cleaning, food dripped by former renters into the stove results in ants. Other than these 2 items we enjoyed our stay.
