A420 a great place to stay
The unit is just as described, relaxing ocean front with amazing view for sunsets and also saw some whales. The unit is well equipped with beach accessories and everything you need was in the kitchen. We would definitely stay in this condo again.

Great place, pricey, but worth every penny!!
This was a great location in Maui, close to the restaurants and supermarket. Beach is just a walk away, make sure to wear water shoes, filled with rocks. Great view for sunset and sun rise. Pool and hot tubs were very clean. I would recommend this place for anyone

Fantastic Stay at Maui Sunset
We had a fantastic stay at Maui Sunset in A420. Accommodations were great, as promised, and easy check-in/check-out. Maui Sunset is simply a gorgeous place to relax and enjoy the beautiful grounds and Sunsets. Weather was absolutely delightful during December and the whale watching supreme. We usually come during April.

Great Property, Great Location!
Our family of four (kids are 7 and 8) enjoyed a great week in suite A420 at Maui Sunset. This was the fourth time my wife and I have been to Maui. All of the properties we've stay at prior to this have been good, but this one was a step above for two reasons. Firstly, it's right on the beach, which makes beach walks and sunsets very convenient. Secondly, the location is very near a lot of restaurants and grocery stores, so you are never in the car that come meal time. For the first time, we left Maui thinking that we'd probably like to stay at the same place again next time.<br/><br/>We all loved the pool (especially the kids) and the grounds were very well maintained. It was a very relaxing place for a much-needed getaway and it was the foundation for providing our kids life-long memories.<br/><br/>The suite itself was clean and well-maintained and the TV options kept the kids busy when needed. The kitchen had everything we needed. The pool and beach gear was great, as well. The lanai had fabulous views of the pool, grounds, and beach, and is one of the suites real differentiators.<br/><br/>The only quibble we have would be that the A/C units were pretty noisy and perhaps due for replacement. They are all on max 4-hour timers, which means that I was up in the middle of every night to turn them back on again in our bedrooms. Being sustainably-minded, I completely understand the need to conserve power; however, I'm guessing there is a better solution out there.<br/><br/>Thanks so much and we hope to be back at some point!

WOW
A wonderful unit!! Perfect location with a beautiful ocean view from the large well furnished balcony. We had a late arrival on a Saturday night and were disappointed the office was closed until Monday and there was no one available to provide us with a key fob so we lost a day at the pool. The unit was very comfortable and as described with upgraded appliances, furniture, cooking supplies, tv etc. The whole facility was very well maintained, especially the pool area and grounds. The beach was nice, but the ocean at this location is not great for swimming as it is very rocky. We did have an issue with one rude group of guests smoking pot on the outside walkway by our bedroom windows, the smell of which was drawn into our unit by the ac units, there was no problem once they left and the vast majority of guests at this complex seemed responsible. The property is in a good location with grocery stores, pharmacy and restaurants all close by. As advertised the sunsets were magnificent!!! Strongly recommend and look forward to our next visit.

Maui Sunset Vacation Rental
We very much enjoyed our stay at your property. The unit was very well stocked with supplies, including quality cooking equipment, pool and beach supplies. The view from the patio was spectacular. While the unit was spacious enough for two couples and a 16mo. old - the bathrooms were a little small,but wouldn't be a deal breaker if contemplating staying here again. Unit was clean, the grounds immaculate and extremely well maintained, including the pool area.

the best!
we had the best room, at the best height. we could see all the goings on below. all the parents, children, pets, games and swimming. The sunsets were spectacular. The care of your grounds was exceptional and greatly appreciated. i left my phone, only to realize it at the airport after my car was turned in. Thankfully because of my iPad i was able to get on free wifi and contact you. You had found the phone by then and helped me by mailing it to me! this put my fears to rest and i came home feeling completely served by all of you. thank you! monica

Christmas rental
We rented several units at Maui Sunset for the Christmas week 2021. Overall we were quite satisfied with the accommodations. We rented A420,A407, and for 1 night B415. There was some inconsistency in the equipment available; ie a shortage of plates in A420, an excess of plates in A407. a420 could have used a garburater as the drainage from the kitchen sink was problematic. We were disappointed in the supplies in A420, with virtually no grocery items there we left behind coffee, spices, and a few other basics. These factors didn’t really affect our enjoyment of our holiday. We were very pleased with the cooperation of the rental agency, and hope to rent from them again.

Beautiful View, Nice property, close beach
WE had a family reunion at Maui Sunset. WE rented a6 units. They were all nice. The units near the elevator are noisy. WE loved the views, the kitchens and units were well equipped to cook for a large group. The beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning is necessary. We had a wonderful time. Unfortunately they had noisy machines tearing out the grass during our entire vacation, so the beautiful grass was not beautiful.

We’ll be Back
The condo had all the amenities for recreation, kitchen well stocked with all needed appliances (no spices/food), loved the air conditioning in bedrooms and living room, well cleaned except rugs were very stained and couch and loveseat very uncomfortable. It was a graduation present from grandparents and we’ll come back again.

Great view, Spacious and clean
The place is spacious and clean. This is first time we stay in a condo instead of hotel, we love that we are able to cook and wash/dry our clothes. The view is nice. the living/dining furniture need update. The sofa bed are not comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Renee was very helpful in booking our condo, thanks.

The Condo was beautiful, It had every thing that anyone could need. The condo was very clean and well maintained. The service wasn't the best, They would not let us go in until 4PM PERIOD! And yes I would Recommend this place to friends and family, Just don't ask to go in before 4PM<br/>

Maui Sunset
Wonderful condo complex conveniently located in Kehei. We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath unit on the 4th floor of building A. The condo was nicely furnished and clean. We had awesome views of the beautiful sunsets every evening and also enjoyed watching folks play tennis and walk their dogs in the park that fronts the beach. Excellent beach access. The complex is well maintained including the lovely grounds, landscaping, and pool area. We LOVED staying here and will recommend to friends and family.

Great experience
As an end unit, A-420 is absolutely worth the premium over other units. Larger deck with huge view of ocean is key. The rest of the unit was clean and spacious, not luxurious by any means. But with Maui Sunset, you're really paying for great views and beach access, and this unit makes the most of both.

A birthday in Paradise!
Myself & three friends escaped the snow of Denver and came to Maui to celebrate a special birthday. The weather was perfect, the Maui Sunset location was amazing, and I’d suggest this vacation rental to everyone! Thank you Maui Sunset for making this an unforgettable experience.

Great view
Nice complex pool, tennis court great grounds and if your a pickle ball player courts within 100 yards walking from your room. Walking distance to Kīhei. Beach not good for swimming but paddle boarding ok. Great sunset views. Unit we were in was a bit dated needs some updating.

Condo was exactly as described and fit our group perfectly. Very clean and well stocked (from the kitchen supplies to bathroom linens). We stayed during the COVID-19 outbreak and found the Management company was very good about keeping us updated via email with changes happening at the resort that impacted our stay.

Great Stay
We were Staying here for a week and ist was a good stay. Our Appartement was clean, quiet and had a Great view Go the Ocean, Parkinglot is free and you can observe Lots of people cleaning the Pool area.<br/>The concierge Sales Show the First Morning was lousy and we left After 30 minutes an buy our breakfast at Starbucks.<br/>One idea is to put Not only Soap for the dishwasher, but also for the Washing machine. <br/>We will stay here on our next Maui visit

Family’s Getaway to. Maui
Absolutely had a marvelous stay and the weather couldn’t have been better! I have stayed here three previous times, but this time took a two bedroom up front with ocean views on the fourth floor! Lovely Location
We loved our condo at Maui Sunset-and the location certainly lived up to the name! What a treat it was to watch the sunset from the balcony or better yet, wander down to the water and watch it by the shore. The condo was clean, large and thoughtfully equipped with everything you would need for a day at the beach. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, glassware, plates and anything else you would need to cook at home. The location is the perfect jumping off spot to go to anywhere in the island. Thank you to our hosts-we loved our stay in Maui!

Maui Sunset Review
We had a wonderful time at the Maui Sunset Vacation Rental! Our condo was beautiful - we went with the 2 bedroom ocean front premium option and it did not disappoint! We ended up in building A which is directly in front of the tennis courts - I think the same apartment in building B would be even better! I also thought that the ocean front ground level condos looked amazing.

The Perfect Vacation Spot
This condo has it all- great central location that is consistently warm and sunny and gets less rain than elsewhere. A stunning view and a lively outdooor viewing experience as you can watch tennnis, see (and hear) the pool, watch the incredible sunsets from your huge lanai where we entertained friends and family frequently with room to spare! The kitchen is well equipped, there are zero bugs so we could leave the screens open all the time and never needed A/C since the ocean breeze was more than enough for us. We stayed for 18 days and I wish I could buy this place! You will certainly enjoy your stay here!

Great Place
It was a great location with a great view. The condo had plenty of room for 4 adults. Easy access to get around the island and lots of great restaurants within 10-15 minutes. There are plenty of snorkeling spots close by. Had an excellent time and would recommend highly.

maui vacation
Overall the stay was pleasant.I've vacationed at Maui Sunset in the past,so everything was just as nice as the first stay.Although I did book a year in advance & also requested up to 2 month's in advance if we could get a late checkout. I rented 2 room's only needed one for a late checkout, and would of paid the extra fee. when we arrived I inquired right away about it again,was told to call back at end of week. So I called just to be told no right off the bat. They knew it wouldn't be possible for a late checkout,they should of just told me upfront. Very poor customer service!

We were pleased with our condominium
We rented a two bedroom premium condominium for American Resorts and were were very pleased with the condition of the condo. The unit was immaculate and the furnishing were up to date and comfortable. <br/>The kitchen and bathrooms had been updated and were in excellent condition. The towels and linens were in very good condition.<br/> The Maui Sunset complex is well maintained and the grounds are beautiful landscaped. It is possible to hear a lot of noise from your neighbors and over hear noise from the activities downstairs. We did not have any problems with the degree of noise but Maui Sunset would not be a good choice for someone who wants a peaceful and serene atmosphere. <br/> We enjoyed the location of the complex, the ocean views and the ability to walk on the beach for miles. Because our unit was ocean front and on the A side, we could hear no highway noise. There is however public beach access parking right next to Maui Sunset but we experienced no problems with noise from that area.

Room with a view
Great ocean view, numerous guest friendly extras like beach chairs, cooler, boogie board which made stay extra pleasurable. Cramped bathroom facilities a bit of a problem, though. Good response from housekeeping on missing/broken items detected on our arrival. Owners left liquor in a locked cupboard which was not secure. No problem for us but could have been for a familly with children.

Aloha Maurice, Glad you had such a great trip to Maui, hope it won't be the last. I agree the buildings in Maui are a bit older so the floor plans don't have huge bathrooms, however it is nice to have 2 full baths. There is a locked owners area and it should have been secured, I'll make sure housekeeping checks on that.

Not that good
We arrived at Maui Sunset and were greeted by a friendly young lady at reception, <br/>We received our keys which were quite old fashioned(they were actually keys) and we found our room inside a short hallway that was not very well lit.<br/>We entered the room and it was hot and stuffy because the A.C.units (3 of them) were on timers that would run a maximum of 6 hrs until shutting off.<br/>The furniture was pretty clean , but definitely old, and there bubbles in the paint on the exterior walls.<br/>The 2 bedrooms and bathrooms were down a separate hallway.<br/>The view was partial ocean and partial park which was a disappointment due to graffiti. We didn’t feel safe there so we left and found a very nice facility on Kaanapali Beach.<br/>When I contacted the rental company I was told that once our stay commenced there was no refund of fees. Commenced meant we checked in on our scheduled day.

Aloha Michael, I'm sorry that you did not give Maui Sunset a chance. Your condo was located ocean front, on the very end of the complex closest to the ocean. Actually better then the pictures when you booked online. This week we've had abnormally high temperatures (90 degrees), however when you spend less then an hour in the room there is not much I can do. The condos do cool off quickly with the 3 a/c's running. And in the evening when the trades winds come down from Haleakala you can open the large lanai doors and enjoy the evening looking out over tiki torches, stars and ocean. When we spoke, just 30 minutes after you sent the email, you had already departed the property.

Lovely Vacation
Excellent destination and would recommend Maui Sunset to friends and family.<br/>1 draw back - if we required anything for the condo we were only call Cheryl for assistance NOT use reservations desk. We did have a few questions but the problem was - the phone was missing from the condo (only the docking station). We did not have a data plan for our cell - which made contacting Cheryl impossible. We did advise the reservations desk of the missing phone - but no one came to deliver it. This made it difficult to call places for dinner reservations & activities etc. Before we left a note in the condo advising of the missing phone in hope that the next tenants would not be inconvenienced.

Unit 420A Maui Sunset was amazing and I would stay there again
Thank you for a lovely stay at 420A maui sunset. There was more than enough room for two couples and two children. Everything was extremely clean. Location was handy. Loved watching people in the park. The unit was super clean, very spacious. Kitchen had ample quality utensils. The linens smelled amazing (I would love to know what your secret is!) Unit included 4 boogy boards and beach chairs and 1 beach umbrella. By the way we found that the beach umbrella was sort of broken when we got there but we were able to make it work. It should probably be replaced though. Very comfortable furniture. Loved it! Thank you.

Nice unit with great view
Although the unit was nice, note that the beach really isn't usueable for swimming. The ground has small broken coral that makes walking out pretty difficult and the water is really shallow for a long ways out. If you're into stand up paddle boarding or kite surfing, this would fit the bill.
