It is set amidst the Umbrian hills, in between the quiet and picturesque medieval hamlet of Montone and the vibrant Umbrian capital Perugia. Just across the border to Tuscany and the Marche. Montone, elected one of Italy´s most beautiful medieval cities, is just a 5minute drive up the hill and offers good infrastructure for daily needs - grocery, bakery & pharmacy, post office & bank, a couple of restaurants & bars. Perugia, full of history, art, food markets, shops and typical Restaurants, can be reached via a toll-free highway in just 25 minutes. Lago Trasimeno is 45 minutes away and offers the chance for a refreshing swim and a relaxing boat-trip. Day excursions will get you to most of Central Italy´s famous places: The world heritage sites of Assisi and Arezzo (45 minutes.), the impressive architecture of Orvieto and Spoleto (1 hour.), the breathtaking beauty of Florence (1,5 hours.); for the nature lovers trips to discover the mountain scenery of the Appenin (45 minutes.).
