Pacific ocean is a 5 minute drive/taxi from the property. The fine sand beach gradient is gradual for a long distance. There is no dock, moorage or float anchor.
A 5 minute drive will take you to the nearest beach (Ho'okipa). Ho'okipa, a great surfing and windsurfing beach is only 5 minutes away. Paia and Baldwin are two beautiful, uncrowded, all around beaches, and only 10 minutes away.

North Shore Maui Accommodation Deal
I had a very wonderful stay on this large property in North Shore Maui. My photo shows me enjoying this most amazing sunset on the ‘wrap around lanai’. I saw some great rainbows from there too. Morning to evening, the lighting changes and the view of the west Maui mountains and the ocean is constantly entertaining.

We were a very short drive to Ho’okipa Beach Park; perhaps the most renowned windsurfing site in the world. The lookout is on the edge of a cliff overlooking “Pavilions” – the popular surfing-end of the beach.
Ho'okipa is ideal for windsurfing because of its large well-shaped waves and strong winds. While it is not a place for beginners, the strong winds and powerful currents is the reason experienced surfers and windsurfers flock to Ho'okipa for recreation and for competitions. It was exciting to watch the surfers out there.

This property had the idea location for our day drive to Hana, as well.

The property is *huge*, and I loved the privacy and the quietness. The owner’s cat came to visit me every morning; we had our own ‘breakfast club’.

I loved the openness of main room, with its hardwood floors and wood beams and ceiling. The spaciousness inside and out made my visit incredibly relaxing. If ever I author a book, I’m going to come to this property to do my writing!

The booking process was easy although the Owner Direct markup is a bit high IMO. The owner is very pleasant to deal with and everything went as planned and expectations were exceeded. This property owner cares and it shows with a very clean, well maintained, comfortable, quiet and safe home. All of the amenities in the home are good, sheets and pillows are clean and not old and worn, towels are plentiful and nice that beach accessories are also available. We prefer no A/C chills so the house to us was comfortable. Having the natural breeze in the house in the afternoon when it warmed up was really nice. There are several fans throughout the house and in April it was warm but we had no issues. The location is perfect if you are a frequent traveler to Maui and do not want all of the "tourist traffic and hype", but you do need a car. Paia, Haiku and Makawao are all great towns with excellent restaurants, groceries and fun things to do. The beaches on this side are more for surfing but Baldwin park is very nice. We appreciated the privacy and solitude we were given and will be staying here again for our spring breaks.

This house was as advertised.... well appointed, spacious, comfortable. The owner met us on day two, and made sure we were comfortable and settled. Location was good with access to north shore surf spots, but out of the way just enough for peace and quiet. Our group of 8 moved in and around each other with ease in this spacious house, with breakfast and dinner each day on the lanai, looking out at the north shore surf.

We had a perfect stay on this amazing large property in Haiku. The house is absolutely perfect, quiet surroundings, wonderful garden and the best daily sunset view from the balcony. This property has the ideal location for surfers, only 5 minutes away from Paia and Hookipa Beach Park. The owner was very kind and helpful and we will definitely come back next year.

Location is in a quiet and safe, in an upscale neighborhood. The view of Maui's north shore, the west Maui mountains, and lush foliage is breathtaking. Extrodinary Maui view. Surfing and windsurfing at world famous Ho'okipa beach is a stone's throw away. Maui's quaint little beach town, Paia, with 14 restaurants, 39 unique shops, galleries, and beaches is a 10 min. drive away.

Paia has Baldwin Beach Park--one of the most beautiful white sand beaches on Maui. Fully equipped with lifeguards, port-a-potties, showers, barbecues, picnic tables & covered pavilion. Families will especially love "Baby Beach" and "Paia Bay". It is 14 miles from Paia to Kihei beaches, and in Wailea--just a bit further--are many famous beaches and 3/4 mile long 'beachwalk' strip, as well as some of Maui's best golf courses.

Huge timbers and open beam wood ceilings in the living room, dining room and kitchen provide plenty of light and a very open feeling. Polished hardwood floor, quality furniture.

The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a large secure garage to store all of your sports equipment like stand up paddle boards, wind surfers, kite boards, bicycles, etc. Or, store your vehicle indoors for your comfort and convenience.

Two bedrooms (one has an en-suite) & 2 bathrooms downstairs; large loft in upper level. There is a 48 inch LCD high definition television in the living room. Wifi and iPod dock with speakers.

Huge covered wrap-around lanai with hammock, very comfortable patio furniture, and a gas BBQ. Outdoor secluded jungle shower (and two indoors as well). Papaya, banana, lime and passion fruit for picking.

All properties surrounding the estate are a minimum size of 2 acres; this property is over 3 acres. Very private and secure. If you enjoy privacy, a peaceful surrounding & a good nights sleep during your vacation, this is a great right choice.
