St. Andrews Bay is known as the Wreck Capital of the World due to its many sunken ships (available for divers to explore underwater), giving the popular attraction Shipwreck Island Water Park its theme. Enjoy family-friendly rides, a lazy river and a wave pool at this park. Thousands of visitors each year swim and play at St. Andrews State Park. Every water sport and outdoor activity you can imagine is here: kayaking, camping, hiking, snorkeling, bicycling, fishing and more! Zoo World features 250 animals and promotes live shows with wolves and parrots. Explore the history of diving and development of SEALAB at the Man in the Sea Museum. One of Panama Citys hidden gems is Shell Island, occupying a 7 mile stretch between the waters of St. Andrews Bay and Gulf of Mexico. It is an oasis of pristine wilderness far removed from the crowds and buildings you'll find elsewhere. In fact, there's nowhere else like it.

EAT & DRINK:

There are lots of great places to find delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Panama City. The options are nearly limitless! Dreaming of sinking your teeth into fresh seafood, familiar favorites, and refreshing drinks while your eyes feast on the sun sparkling against emerald water and white sand? They can come true! One of the places where locals eat when they want a view of the water with their fabulous meal is Uncle Ernies Bayfront Grill and Brew House. For your lunch on the go, Finns Island Style Grub is an open-air beachfront concept that epitomized the art of food truck dining. You should try their scallop ceviche and blackened fish tacos.

The Craft Bar will give you a gastropub experience with 30 beers on tap, an extensive wine list and a number of inventive craft cocktails which you should try with their Mahi Mahi tacos. Wanna go where the locals chill after work and on weekends for pints of beer, baskets of fries, and piles of wings, specialty pizzas and greasy sandwiches? Go to Patches Pub for the barefoot bar vibe you crave from a coastal town and try their seared tuna with a beer and dessert!

GO:

The best time to visit is between May and October - you'll catch a bit of summer high season traffic, but if you can withstand the crowd, you'll definitely enjoy the beach and get to see a lot of attractions! Though the area boasts an average of 320 days of sunshine per year, late spring, summer and early fall offer some of the warmest air and water temperatures. If you're looking to join youthful crowds at wild parties, visit during Spring Break from Mid-March through Mid-April. For a more peaceful vacation, you can visit during the low season, which is from November to February. Whether you decide to take a road trip or fly into Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) and stay at one of our amazing rentals, most visitors choose to get around the area by car to also try other beaches and see more attractions. You can also get on the Bay Town Trolley as a convenient way to go from place to place.

What are you waiting for? Get packing, and enjoy your Florida vacation in style with Owner Direct Vacation Rentals. Youll be back for more!
