All upstairs bedrooms have HDTV with DVD, cable channels, and the highest speed Wi-Fi. We have a ping pong, outdoor firepit, outdoor shower with hot and cold water, wood burning indoor fireplace (impossible to find in this area) and a 52-inch TV in the Great Room. The roof deck has an enclosed glass room with fridge, toaster and coffee-maker, seating bar and chairs that look out at the sunset and ocean, 4 dining tables and matching chairs that we personally shipped from Morocco, outdoor sectional couch and chaise lounge chairs, multiple umbrellas, roof deck has a nice, above code height railing. There are 3 spiral Staircases that lead to the roof deck both interior and exterior access. Our home has a Bertazzoni professional range, new Bosch dishwasher, 2 sinks in fully stocked kitchen, kuerig and traditional coffee maker, front-load washer/dryer, gas grill, and one Weber charcoal grill (Weber available upon request). All towels and bedding are high thread counts. Kids just love the blue room full of pillows at the top of the turret.

It’s the site of one of the original California missions (beautifully restored today). You don’t need a car—you can shop for groceries, go to the drugstore, post office, stop at a cafe or restaurant, all within a 5 to 10 minute walk. (There is also regular bus service into the town of Monterey, and also down the coast to the Point Lobos Wildlife Reserve.) The house is a two-bedroom cottage, painted dark grey with white trim, across the street from the side of the La Playa Hotel. It has a gravel driveway big enough for one car. The La Playa Hotel was built in the 1920s and is on the National Register of Historic Hotels. The house is two and half blocks from the town beach, which is over half a mile long. At one end is a famous Frank Lloyd Wright house, built on a cliff; on the other end is Pebble Beach golf course. There are two more public beaches within five miles. The house is 900 square feet, with a deck that wraps around two sides. Half the roof is an upper deck with garden furniture, reached by an outdoor staircase. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, plus a new sofa bed in the living room. The house comfortably sleeps 6 adults. (Guests who have tried the queen-size sofa bed have given us good reviews.) We’ve restored the original oak floors from the 1940s in the house’s older section.

Open, to the right, is the eating area with 4 chairs and a round table, and a slab granite eating bar, with 2 high stools. There is also a desk and office chair with a printer and phone, and a water machine. Adjacent to this, is the new kitchen with slab granite, s/s appliances, new sink and taps, a glass tile backsplash, refinished cabinetry, digital toaster, and a full compliment of small appliances and kitchenware. This entire Great Room, kitchen, eating area, affords a full view of the pool/patio area, through a wall of windows. Both the front and back yards are full enclosed, so you can feel comfortable letting your little ones or furry friends have their run of the entire place at this pet-friendly rental. Push through the front gate and make your way onto the front porch with rustic wood railings and in through the front door. You’ll enter into the dining area, offering a table for 6 to gather for meals or game nights. Cold evenings call for a cozy fire in the living room’s gas fireplace as you gather on the comfy couch and love seat. Claim one of the leather recliners and curl up with a good book or watch TV on the 37” flat-screen TV. This room seats 7 in total. Flex those cooking muscles and feed your hungry crowd in the spacious kitchen, open to the dining area. Full-size appliances including stove/oven, fridge and dishwasher, plus ample counter space and extras like a coffee maker, toaster and blender make cooking a breeze. Keep your outfits fresh during your stay thanks to the laundry room with washer and dryer just off the kitchen. On the main floor, the 1st bedroom offers a queen bed, mountain bear motif and closet. The main floor bathroom has two sinks, plenty of counter space for primping and a tiled shower and tub combination. Through the downstairs bathroom, you’ll find the 2nd bedroom, a great spot for kids to crash in the twin bed and twin-over-full bunk bed, both decked out with bear-themed linens. Upstairs, guests in the 3rd bedroom are treated to a king bed, skylight window and access to a private balcony overlooking the backyard. The 4th bedroom has another king bed, closet and dresser for extra storage. Both rooms share a full bath with single vanity, tub and shower combination and skylight for natural light. OUR LOCATION When the slopes call your name, answer them on the incredible ski runs at Heavenly Mountain Resort (8 minutes). From skiing to snowboarding, Heavenly is great for beginners to advanced skiers and everyone in between. If you’re feeling lucky, cross the state line and check out Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, Mont Bleu Casino or Hard Rock Casino, all just 10 minutes away. In the summer, Timber Cove Marina (9 minutes) offers jet ski, boat and sail boat rentals for some fun in the sun. You can also test your bravery and try your hand parasailing or go on a high-speed boat adventure. Amazing views await on any one of South Lake Tahoe’s hiking trails, many starting just out your back door. Washoe Meadows State Park (15 minutes) is a great place to begin your nature adventure. Strict ordinances govern Lake Tahoe vacation rentals and cannot be used for any parties/weddings/receptions. Maximum allowable occupancy 10 people and 2 cars , enforced/patrolled 24 hours/day.
