There you'll find a cozy queen-size bed, a 19” TV, and plenty of storage for your beachwear. THE LOCATION You’re right on the canal in the gated community of Long Island Village, meaning there’s a lot to do without heading far afield. Bring a boat and head out into the Port Isabel Channel. If you’re keen on fishing, you’ll find plenty of fishing piers to choose from here. Try Pirate’s Fishing Pier, 1.5 miles away, and while you’re there you can sample the many eateries. Dirty Al’s specializes in Cajun and seafood, and Manuel’s can’t be beaten for Mexican food. The Port Isabel Historic Lighthouse has a view that makes the climb worth it, and history buffs will enjoy the Port Isabel Historic Museum and Treasures of the Gulf Museum—all within 1.5 miles of the home.

The spacious family room has cathedral ceilings and picture windows overlooking the lush yard. The comfortable couch and chairs make for a great spot to entertain family and friends. The formal dining room has a large oak table for family style meals and seats 10 comfortably. The gourmet kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and all new cookware. Guests will enjoy gorgeous Texas scenery with parks surrounding the property that are great for short hikes or picnics. There are plenty of places to dine near the home, too. Most famous for its sunsets and food is The Oasis, less then ten minutes away. Closer by are Hudson On The Bend and the Iguana Grill both of which provide great views and food. On your way to the house, you can stop at Whole Foods in the Bee Caves Galleria. The Galleria features more dining options, shopping, and a movie theater, only a ten minute drive from the house. The home is also a short drive to Falcon Head Golf Club that takes public reservations and has several other courses near by.     Our secluded Spanish-style home is ideal for big groups, providing a retreat for families and friends to get together and enjoy the Texas landscape. The rich history of the home adds a special touch. This home is a real Texas treasure!. Our expansive home has a secluded view. When Lake Travis is full you can see the beautiful water from our backyard. When you walk into the house you are greeted with a large, gourmet kitchen and table for coffee in front of an old stone fireplace. The dining room, with its own fireplace, is to the right of the kitchen. The kitchen opens to the family room, with fireplace, TV, a table for six that can be used for casual dining or games, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. From the family room you enter the great room at the back of the house with a fireplace and 70”TV, perfect for large groups to watch movies or sporting events. The master bedroom and a second bedroom are upstairs and overlook the great room. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, master bath, fireplace, and second laundry room. The other bedroom has two twins which can be converted into a king-sized bed. To the right of the kitchen and past the dining room, a hallway leads to three separate bedrooms. Two bedrooms have queen-sized beds and are attached to a Jack & Jill bathroom. The third is a small sitting room with a full-sized sleeper sofa. On the main floor is also a third, full bathroom and the main laundry room. Across the courtyard, the separate guest quarters include a main apartment and a studio apartment. The upstairs main apartment has a full kitchen and living area (55”TV, Xbox, and fireplace) with two sleeper sofas (queen and full-sized) and a large bedroom with a queen-sized bed and full bath. The downstairs studio apartment has two twin beds with linens for combining them into a king-sized bed and there is a full bath. The character throughout the home is rich, just like the Texas culture. The antique doors to the courtyard are reported to be from Alamo Village where John Wayne directed and starred in the movie “The Alamo “during the 60’s. The neighbors tell us John Wayne stayed at the house and played tennis here. This home truly is a find. You are in the heart of the Hill Country and although you will love the solitude, tennis, and swimming, there are great finds in the area. There are 18 Hill Country wineries, 5 microbreweries, and more than 8 public golf courses within a one hour drive (map provided). We recommend Spicewood Winery and Stone House Vineyard (6+ miles down the road). Bring home a bottle to enjoy on the back deck with stunning views from the pool. For horseback riding, enjoy a guided trail ride from Silver's Trails in Spicewood. Antique/collectible hunters will love Fredericksburg, one hour to the southwest. The house is 15 minutes from outlet shopping in Bee Cave, 10 minutes from Muleshoe Recreation area, and 40 minutes from the airport and downtown Austin. If you are interested in setting up in-house brunch, lunch or dining options you can do so with our local, neighborhood chef. This additional service can be set up directly through Jill's Bistro.

It sits on a large stretch of beach accessed by two bridges over the dunes. The beach is always well-maintained with beach chairs and umbrellas available. During the winter our Dune Pool is heated, so guests can swim comfortably year-round. Golf cart and bicycle rentals are right on site and the grounds include two huge resort-style saltwater pools, stocked fishing lakes, lots of green space for picnics and lawn games and of course, the seaside for building sand castles and picking up shells.
