To the left is the formal dining room with a claw foot wooden table and 6 chairs, a hutch stocked with china and period decor. There’s also a gas stove to take the chill out of the evenings. Down the hall is a full bath with shower stall only and single vanity. In the adjoining kitchen, a chopping block island with 2 bar stools adds rustic charm, with white appliances (including a stove/oven, dishwasher and microwave) for modern convenience. INSIDE THE DUPLEXES Park in the driveway and access the first duplex via a short flight of steps to the front door, and the second to the left of the garage. Both open into foyers with room to store ski gear. Both duplexes feature living areas with tall windows for natural light and mountain views. In the first, a wood-burning fireplace keeps things cozy, with a 32” Sony TV and surround sound. The lounge seats up to 10 with armchairs by the window for quiet contemplation. In the second, a loveseat and two decorative chairs seat 4. In the first duplex, a long dining table for 8 overlooks the ski slopes, and for casual snacking, hop up onto one of the 3 bar stools at the kitchen counter. The kitchen itself is large, accommodating all the demands a big group can throw at it – it‘s stocked with equipment and furnished with stainless steel KitchenAid appliances including a stove/oven, microwave and double-door fridge. In the second, the living space adjoins a kitchen, fully equipped with an electric stove, stainless steel sink, dishwasher, and lots of counter space. The lounge seats up to 10 with armchairs by the window for quiet contemplation. A long dining table for 8 overlooks the ski slopes, and for casual snacking, hop up onto one of the 3 bar stools at the kitchen counter. The kitchen itself is large, accommodating all the demands a big group can throw at it - it’s stocked with equipment and furnished with stainless steel KitchenAid appliances including a stove/oven, microwave and double-door fridge. INSIDE THE CONDO From a driveway with parking space for 2, take the stairs on the left of the building up to your unit. Enter a small mudroom for stashing boots and skis after an epic day on the slopes. From here, a hallway leads to a bedroom on the first left. Snuggle up in a queen-size bed and watch a flat-screen TV with cable. Just next door, a full bathroom has a single sink vanity and tub/shower combo. At the end of the hallway, you’ll find a bedroom perfect for the kids, with 2 twin beds and plenty of storage space in a sliding-door closet. A small set of stairs off the hallway leads up to a living room full of natural light. Wood-paneled walls give it a cozy log-cabin vibe, while black leather couches and a lounge chair offer comfy seating for 6. Curl up beside the gas-burning fireplace and 32” flat-screen TV. The room leads to a dining area seating 6, set beside an open-concept kitchen with gleaming stainless-steel appliances. Cook hearty group meals with the gas stove/oven combo and microwave. Forget cleaning up after dinner—load empty plates straight into the dishwasher. From the open-plan living area, walk through glass sliding doors to a balcony deck with views of nearby Sugarloaf. A small set of stairs from the living area leads up to a bedroom with a double bed under a charming slanted ceiling. Nearby, another small staircase takes you up to a spacious master bedroom. Crash after an active day in a king-size bed, and enjoy access to an en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower combo. THE LOCATION Grab your skis and head to the lift for Sugarloaf Mountain—it’s just a 15-minute walk from your front door. There is also a shuttle available that picks you up directly at your condo. This huge resort has 1,230 acres of skiable terrain. But if you feel like a break from the slopes, you can get your adrenaline fix at the Anti-Gravity Center and skate park, or test your nerve on the rock-climbing wall. After a day on the mountain, soak in the pool & hot tub or bask in the sauna and steam room at Sugarloaf Sport & Fitness Center (4 minute drive—or 17 minute walk!). Later, stroll to Shipyard Brew Haus (4 minute walk) for dinner and ice-cold pitchers of beer while you soak up mountain views. For more outbound adventures, you’re just a 13-minute drive from Maine Huts & Trails where you can hike, mountain bike and fish.
