Sun Up/Down is a large but comfortable vacation home set in the woods. It is perfect for multiple families. It offers 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the lower level, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main level, and 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom on the upper level. The main level has an open concept for the kitchen, dining and living room, with high ceilings, large windows and a cozy brick fireplace. There is also a double studio bed and a sauna on this main level. The lower level offers a warm and inviting den/family room with a freestanding fireplace, sofa sleeper and a private 2-person whirlpool. WIFI is available throughout the unit. This vacation home is located 1 mile from the main ski lodge. A 3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY IS REQUIRED YEAR ROUND. Exterior Cameras on-site. Some technology services may be changing on June 1st, 2023.

House Rule
1. All vacation rental properties are NON-SMOKING per Michigan law. If smoke is detected in the vacation rental property additional cleaning charges will apply.
2. Guests should not create excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors.
3. All of the properties are privately owned; BPLA nor the owners assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Only use appliances for their intended uses. See Damage Policy Addendum.
5. PETS: Dogs are allowed in limited accommodations. Guests bringing unauthorized pets will be subject to additional charges and or eviction. Be sure the vacation home you book is pet friendly to protect future guests who may have allergies or other health issues. A $50 nonrefundable pet fee will be charged per stay. There is no charge for a pet that is ADA certified with the proper documentation of certification provided to Big Powderhorn Lodging Association prior to confirmation of the reservation. In addition a valid credit card is required for security deposit.
6. Parking: Parking is limited to the parking area at the vacation rental property. Parking on the road is not recommended as vehicles are subject to towing: applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. Additional parking and/or trailer parking is available at the Lodging office.
7. Hot Tub: If the vacation home has a hot tub, follow the hot tub instructions posted at the vacation rental property. Use at your own risk. Fees will be charged to the guest for misuse of the hot tub. Hot tubs are non-operational during the off season.
8. Fireplace: Wood burning fireplaces must be used with caution. Do not leave unattended or over fill. Assistance with operation is available by contacting the Lodging office.
9. BPLA is not responsible for area trail operations (including area ski resorts and snowmobile trails). No refunds or adjustments will be made for trail closures, including those reservations for slope-side homes.
10. If upon arrival or during Guests stay issues arise with the property such as cleaning or maintenance, the Guest is responsible for notifying Big Powderhorn Lodging Association as soon as possible. There will be no refunds given for issues the Guest didn't allow Big Powderhorn Lodging Association to promptly inspect and resolve.
Cancellation Policy
If guest wishes to change the reservation it must be done within 30 days prior to arrival to avoid cancellation policy. If guest wishes to cancel the reservation, the deposit will be refunded as follows: A $30 cancellation fee plus the $35 non-refundable booking fee will be deducted from the 1st deposit if cancelled more than 30 days prior to the arrival date.
