Property is waterfront (i.e. no properties between the property and water OR property is in a community with private waterfront access).
Ness Lake is a 1 minute walk from the property without crossing a road. The coarse sand beach gradient is gradual for a short distance. There is a private dock.
There are paths and steps to the lake level. The equipment: There is a 20 foot fibreglass canoe and an 18 foot fibreglass canoe, and 2 fibreglass single kayaks. There is also a fibreglass two person peddle boat. Life jackets in various sizes are available, and paddles and oars.
The "beach" changes depending on the level of the water. At times there is grass right to water level and at other times there is a sandy/gravel edge to the water. It is not a sandy beach. The water is shallow for about 6 to 8 feet and then drops off sharply to be quite deep.

Eskers Park is about 4 kms from the house on the other side of the lake, and has several pleasant hiking trails, and if you are really into hiking there are many local hikes into the hills to the east of Prince George which can be done in a few hours or all day if you wish, and relax in the hot tub when you return.
This is an ideal spot for a family holiday, or just to unwind by the lake.
