Discovery Bay Rental Guide

Discovery Bay, Jamaica Villa with spectacular view of the Caribbean sea, ID#213821 Discovery Bay, Jamaica

Discovery Bay has had visitors for more than 500 years with Columbus being the first visitor. In 1494 he sailed into Discovery Bay in search of fresh water. Visitors are lured by its green hills, clear turquoise waters and long sweep of sand forming one of the island's finest beaches. At the other end of the Bay is an open-air museum with historical artifacts.

Further east is a white sand beach, excellent scuba diving and snorkeling, horseback riding, tennis and a challenging golf course facing the sea. There are beach side places to eat out and nearby hotels for evening activities.

In Jamaica there are many churches and Discovery Bay is no exception with several denominations represented. Jamaica has the largest population of Churches in the world. Some have been around for hundreds of years, from the days of the English and the Spaniards.
