and Amusement Parks
- Walt Disney World: The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney/MGM
Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. The largest entertainment resort
in the world and well worth an extended visit.
- Universal Orlando consists of two theme parks: Universal
Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalk (a
night-time entertainment destination). Universal Orlando Resort is
the largest property owned by Universal Studios Theme Parks and is
also the second-largest resort in Greater Orlando, after the Walt Disney
World Resort.
- Boomers! Parks is a chain of family amusement centers
which feature indoor activities including carousels, kiddie swings,
restaurants, musical shows and video arcades; and outdoor activities
including miniature golf, kiddie rides, bumper boats, batting cages,
go-karts, kiddie roller coasters, and laser tag. Located in Boca
Raton or Dania Beach, Florida.
- Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay is a 335 acre African-themed
animal theme park and is also known for it's amazing roller coasters.

- Dinosaur World features over 150 life size dinosaur
sculptures and is located in Plant City, Florida, about a one hour
drive from Kissimmee.
- Fun Spot Action Park is located in Orlando on 4.7
acres. This fun-filled amusement park has 17 attractions, including
four multi-level go-kart tracks, seven thrill rides and six kiddie
rides. There are many Orlando
vacation homes nearby.
- The Holy Land Experience is a spectacular, biblical
theme park and museum located in Orlando. Designed to replicate the
architecture and themes of 1st century Israel.
- Legoland Florida is a planned theme park encompassing
145 acres in Winter
Haven, Florida.
- Lion Country Safari is a drive-through safari park
located in Loxahatchee (near West Palm Beach). Founded in 1967, it
claims to be the first 'cageless zoo' in the US.
- Marineland is billed as "the world's first
oceanarium" and is an entertainment and swim-with-the-dolphins
facility.
- Old Town offers shopping, dining, entertainment
attractions, amusement park and car cruises in Kissimmee.
- Sam's Fun City is located in Pensacola and
offers 20 rides and attractions for kids of every age. It's also the
Gulf Coast home of Rocky and Bullwinkle.
- SeaWorld Orlando is a theme park and marine-life
based zoological park. When combined with its neighbor Discovery Cove
and the Aquatica waterpark, it forms a larger entertainment complex
devoted to Earth's oceans and the array of life that inhabits them.
- Silver Springs in Ocala,
features national music acts, live animal exhibits, glass bottom boat
rides and nature tours.
- Weeki Wachee Springs is a natural tourist attraction
located in Weeki Wachee, Florida where underwater performances by "mermaids"
can be viewed in an aquarium-like setting in the spring of the Weeki
Wachee River. A waterpark, Buccaneer Bay, and boat rides are also part
of the attraction.
