Peter Ski Area was originally started by Macy's Department Store as a marketing strategy and is now the oldest operating ski resort in NY State. Specializing in a great beginner school and runs, there is also expert level terrain and a freestyle terrain park. Thunder Ridge, only an hour from NYC and offers a free shuttle from Patterson train station. A great family mountain with 30 trails and terrain park. Tuxedo Ridge offers challenge and terrain for all skier and boarder levels.
