Kaleden is located south of Penticton, British Columbia, near Skaha Lake.
The water in Skaha Lake is warmer than the nearby Okanagan Lake, because of it's size.
Kaleden is in a semi-desert area, with over 2000 hours of sunshine annually.
This climate allows for long hot summers and pleasant, mild winters.
There is a long golf season here, and in winter the nearby Apex Mountain Resort offers great terrain for both skiers and boarders.
Hikers and Climbers can be challenged on Skaha Bluffs.
Wine enthusiasts will enjoy touring local wineries, and the Okanagan Wine Festival in the autumn.
Kaleden offers:
A small bay where boats are moored
A well-tended grassy park with tennis courts
A boat launch
A shallow swimming area in the bay for small children; and an area around the point for adults which is shallow for 150 ft and then drops off to deep water
Two local golf courses; St. Andrews and Twin Lakes Golf Course.
