Milolii Rental Guide

Milolii, Hawaii Milolii, Hawaii Milolii, Hawaii

In the South Kona region of The Big Island can be found the tiny, laid back town of Miloli'i. Miloii is in an active fishing village. Peaceful and secluded, it is a perfect escape to old Hawaii.

After a 5 mile descent down a semi-paved road one reaches Miloli'i Beach County Park, a popular camping area (with permit) among the locals. A 15-minute trail south of here leads to Honomalino, a secluded white sand beach which is great for swimming. Be sure to ask the locals about conditions.

This village is one of the last where traditional fishing is a major source of income. Kona is 40 miles to the north. The volcanoes are approximately an hour to the south. And it is just twelve miles to restaurants and shopping. Hawaii vacation rental by owner is one of the best ways to find accommodations and experience Hawaii like a local.

The climate is sunny and temperate with an average rainfall of about 26 inches per year. Hike the ancient "King's" coastal trails and visit ruins. Watch dolphins and whales. There is excellent snorkeling, kayaking and swimming.
