This beautiful town is located on the northwestern tip of the Mexican Republic, 16 miles south of Tijuana and the Mexico - U.S. border. The country area of Rosarito is 20 miles of magnificent coast line with white sand beaches, spectacular cliffs and rough mountains.

Two four lane highways connect Rosarito with the city of Tijuana. The most spectacular, a toll road, runs along the coast of the Pacific Ocean, passing by some of the most beautiful seascapes in Baja California.

The other road, toll free, goes through the hills that separate the two towns. Both roads are in excellent condition. These same roads continue south of Rosarito to Ensenada and other towns in the southern part of Baja California.

Rosarito is benefiting from a great growth rate, as it is becoming a famous city thanks to the popular movie "TITANIC" which was filmed here in May of 1997.

As a sea side community, it enjoys a temperate Mediterranean type climate with an abundance of sunshine and a cool breeze blowing off the ocean. There is a short rainy season in winter.

You can find everything you need at Rosarita. Ceramics, jewelry, leather goods, clothing, baskets, prescription drugs and a host of other items, are available at the dozens of stores around town. An increasing number of visitors are utilizing the resources available from Rosarito. One can have custom furniture made at very attractive prices!

Rosarito is a comfortable city by the beach with plenty of activities for tourists. Surfing is a common sport, as well as fishing, jetskiing, sailing, horseback riding, golf and more. There is also the world famous annual bike ride of Rosarito.
