The cabin was perfect. Even more perfect was the field agent who helped me out when I left a lot of cash in my night stand. He was able to get the cash which I told him was around $700 and he ended up finding $855. Very impresssed with the honesty and extra effort, he even made a deposit for me in my bank account.
We chose this location based on the size and location, both of which were great. But the home is dirty and unkept in many ways. I believe it is due to the poor house keeping service. The home it self is beautiful, but as you stay you see the unfortunate neglect of care and maintenance. This would have been a home we would repeatedly returned with the same group, if the circumstances had been different. We found sticky popsicle sticks on the carpets though-out the home. Pizza boxes piled on the back deck and pizza in the hot tub, which was a cloudy unwelcoming disappointment. Our shoes stuck to the kitchen floors with each step, it was necessary for us to mop the floors ourselves. Glass was covered with sticky hand prints. A pile of dirty towels were left for us on the laundry room floor, and sheets in the dryer. The BBQ was so filthy that it caught fire due to the grease filled tray that we later emptied, and the fire put out without an extinguisher anywhere on sight.<
This house is great for several families staying together. We had two families in the house and had plenty of space. The house is well stocked and clean. If you decide to book this house be warned that it IS NOT registered with the Incline Village Recreation Center. This means you can not get into the private beaches in Incline Village!! We were under the impression based on the "Community amenities, including a beach and recreation center, are yours to enjoy (rates apply)" meant we could use the Rece Center. This is not actually true. Thank goodness I called to double check with the Rec Center before we left! After several phone calls, and two days (the management company was actually very helpful) we found out that we could not use the Rec Center. That was a large part of the reason we booked this house. Again, the house was good, but we were really disappointed about the misleading information regarding the Rec Center access.
This property is expensive. It is large and nicely laid out. However, during my stay, there were a lot of small annoyances such as: drain plugs in bathroom sinks didn't work, one of the kitchen faucets was loose, a number of lights were burned out, and the master bedroom fireplace did not work. Additionally, the beds were quite uncomfortable and the pillows were like springs. For the cost, I expected the property to be a little more refined.
