We came for the weekend to see the foliage, which was great! The condo was clean which is always a good thing. It very outdated. The living/dining area carpet is newer, but everything else is old and smells musty when you first walk in. It was fine for the small amount of time we spent there.
We had a lovely time at Loon for the Highland Games. After our lodgings fell through last minute, we booked this condo for the event. The location was great, the condo was spotless, and everyone we spoke with was kind.
The one downside was how outdated everything is: the process to book and check into the condo was far from seamless - we booked on VRBO; then received a phone call from someone through the rental organization to talk through the entire process; then receiving, reviewing, and signing a multi-page contract and having to fax it back to the rental company; then a check-in time of only between 4-6pm (though, they state they can be a bit flexible); then having to go to a rental office in town about 1/2 mile from the condo to get the keys, signed a bunch more documents for a condo that had multiple different names (here it's listed as Riverfront A302 but there's actually a totally different address and number on the condo - confusing!); being handed a keychain with multiple unlabeled keys so
Nice condo with Nice Terrace and cozy leaving room. Rooms and beds are confortable. But bathrooms need to be refreshed even if it provides basic needs.
Excellent condo and location! Perfect for a late September trip with the kids and close to everything in Lincoln and Woodstock. A quick drive to Loon to enjoy the indoor and outdoor pool and all Loon has to offer. It was really nice to find a condo complex that was new and updated, very nice. Will definitely stay at South Peak again!
It's a place to sleep, sort of. The fold out couch was unbearable as they usually are. We've stayed in this complex before, and enjoyed it, but this unit was clearly a ski crash joint only. Old CRT TV, second hand furniture, in the basement of a fairly nice building. Reminded me of college, not the good stuff.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this nicely renovated condo. It was pleasant to be away from the heavy traffic of the North Conway strip, yet still have a good, convenient grocery store. We were close to all the outdoor activities we wanted to do, and the condo was a perfect place to stay when the weather was poor.
We stayed at Deer Park. We have been going to the games for about 25 years and our stay at the Deer Park location was the best yet. Comfy, clean , roomy, and a great outdoor area.
We stayed at Deer Park and have for the last 3 years. The facility is like being home. Well equipped and clean. The deck is a nice touch for morning tea or coffee with the river just below. I love this peaceful setting and in the evening it helps you to relax.
The condo itself is lovely and has a beautiful view. A couple of minor things - no bathroom on main living level and more furniture (specifically a table and chairs) would be nice on the deck. I rented this through VRBO but it was managed by Loon Reservation Service with whom I have a few complaints. Upon checking in it was made very clear that we were only allowed to park two cars at the condo (this had been stated in advance). I asked if they had any suggestions on where to leave a third car (we were staying there with adult children coming from different places). They said the only thing they could suggest was the grocery store downtown. We were given two parking passes to hang on display in our cars. Upon arriving at the condo, we discovered that there was room to park four cars and there was also an "overflow parking" area in the condo complex. During the entire weekend, we never saw a parking pass on any other car in the complex. The condo was lovely and clean, but there were a few things that turned up
The condo is most fitting for a larger and younger group than our 6 adults over the age of 60. The "loft" bedroom on the 3rd floor that contained the third queen size bed required the use of a narrow, steep spiral staircase. We simply couldn't use it and one couple had to split up with one sleeping on an uncomfortable twin bed. Everything else was very nice, excepting the dirty hot tub that needed serious cleaning and was not available to use. The living room and dining area were perfect for our group, as well as the second living area in the lower level. This was our first experience with rental units and we will read the descriptions more carefully and ask more questions on our next similar trip.
The house was spacious, had everything that we needed, very clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the near future!
The interior was clean and all the items we needed were there. We did have a hard time finding the unit when we first got there a suite number would have been very helpful.
The unit was very nice; well-decorated and plenty of housewares, utensils, etc. We have 2 complaints - our first night there we lost power for 1/2 hr, which wasn't bad, except no flashlights, only a couple of tapered candles, etc. Also, the day we left there was construction and a scaffold placed across our front door so we couldn't use that exit. A heads-up to construction would have been nice.
