Easy to find, super friendly booking staff and operators, definitely the closest accommodations to Baker, no cellular is fine. But no WiFi in the cabin? (Common amenity, building has it.) Two families of four shared the condo. It was tight, but manageable. Accommodations are definitely dated to the mid 1970's, with very, very few updates since then (old CRT television and there's wall-to-wall shag carpet everywhere including the bathroom - yuck). Three out of four mattresses in the bunk beds were horrible - soft and you rolled to centre. Stereo didn't work, but there were lots of games and movies provided. I think all accommodations in the area are relatively the same vintage, so we would still recommend it.
Thank you for your review! We sincerely appreciate your taking the time to send us a review of your stay. A couple of points to clear-up; there is definitely no wifi in the condo. As such, no such service is advertised. There is also no cell coverage, but the condo is equipped with a land line. Local calling (countywide) is free. Also; there are no TV signals or cable service available in our wooded mountain area, but the condo is equipped with a DVD/monitor along with a reasonable selection of movies (movies can also be rented locally). In this regard, Guests should be prepared for a mostly "unplugged" experience. This is actually the point of a stay in the Mt. Baker area...a chance to disconnect. We looked at the bunk beds, and weren't able to confirm your comments. Having said this, bunks are really better suited for children...not so much for adults. The images accurately depict the condo...including the carpeting, (which is admittedly somewhat dated but clean and in good condition) so there really shouldn't be any unpleasant surprises. Although we didn't hear from you at anytime during your stay, we subsequently checked the stereo, and found that someone had cross-connected two of the jacks. We plugged them back in correctly, and the stereo seems to work just fine. Many thanks for the neat and tidy way in which you left the condo upon departure. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we look forward to seeing you again the next time that your travel plans bring you back to Mt. Baker. Happy trails
Stayed with friends - Recommended to friends and family
First, this property isn't close to Leavenworth. If you are looking to be close to town for Oktoberfest... I wouldn't recommend booking this cabin. Upon arrival, we noticed that the outside of the property wasn't kept up, at all. The porch was covered in pine needles, the patio furniture was very dirty and the hot tub needed some TLC. We spent the first 1/2 hour of our stay cleaning up the outside. I have to agree with the previous post regarding the inside cleanliness as well, not impressed. Very important, this home is not level! From the middle of the kitchen to the master bedroom there is a downward slope. Considering the house is on a small cliff, I was glad we didn't spent much time in the cabin - little nerving. The master bed needs to be replaced, no support whatsoever in the mattress and the bed frame is on its last leg. Super noisy and we felt like it could collapse at any moment. The only good thing about this property is the view - which is pretty amazing!
Our recent trip to the Chipmunk Cabin could not have been more perfect. The cabin was everything that we hoped for, clean with plenty of linens. The peace and quiet was just what we were looking for yet only 20 minutes away from Leavenworth. The only suggestion would be to increase the kitchen cookware so we can bring the family for a longer stay than just a weekend.
We four senior citizens had a nice 2 night stay in this lovely home. Very quiet and restful. Had a chance to briefly meet the owner. He was as nice as previous reviews have claimed! Would liked to have had larger beds, preferably king sized. Other than that, everything was lovely.
This house was a great location. No necessarily the greatest neighborhood but a very convenient location to downtown and freeway. Also there is an incredible children's garden and park across the street that is nice for all ages. Location is about where my joy ends. The owners use Turn Key management they were not as responsive as we have heard others have experienced before. Maybe it was a busy week? Our biggest issue was with tv and internet. The house is advertised as having "cable/satellite", when in actuality they only have Apple TV (we were given a small refund for this) Apple TV wouldn't have been that big of a deal except that we had three generations staying the house and the oldest generation had to be taught how to use it. The internet was awful, we tried all three wifi options and they even had someone come out. I would try and put a show on for my toddler and it would freeze. We tried to download a movie and it said it would take 38 hours, yes hours! But worse we were there during Hurrican
Three Sisters Lodge was our base station for parents and immediate family of a bride to be. The home is immaculate, has a wonderful view and for our needs, plenty of indoor and outdoor space to put decorations together. The master BR is well proportioned, large bath, heated floors and walk in closet. We have paid the daily rate at 5 star hotel suites that do not compare in comfort and amenities. High end appliances combined with a large granite island made cooking for many an ease. Indoor and outdoor dining tables accomodate more than the house sleeps. I suggest outdoor dining by the fire pit on cool evenings. The game room provided plenty of entertainment and for me, morning coffee over a game station playing Galaga (for those in my age range who understand). Bottom line, there is not a remotely negative comment to share over Three Sisters. Look no further, we rented a number of properties for our wedding guests and Three Sisters is second to none at the occupancy and price point.
We needed a large home 13 of us. I began searching when we had the date for the Suncadia wedding at the winery. I googled houses for rent IN Suncadia and this came up. I thought it looked perfect and was in Suncadia. Arriving there I was surprised to see it not in Suncadia although maybe a 10 minute drive. That was a bit disappointing. The home was a great size and for us perfectly. We loved the outside court and were so excited to see bikes, balls and so many games. A suggestion would be to tell people you have so much there so we don't drag over all of that over ourselves. Another great feature was the fully stocked kitchen. If I had known I wouldn't have needed to pack my bowls, pans etc. The upstairs apartment was a really nice feature. Thank you for the use of your home!
Relaxing - Quiet area - Cabin is old, Negative: kitchen floor wholes in it, carpet dirty spots needs to be replace with wood floors. Mattress downstairs too soft. Positive: Great Hot Tub, Bathroom has been updated, Upstairs Bed perfect, Dock look new, Large deck overlooking lake.
Perfect venue for a group of friends who had not seen each other for years. We were in town for a wedding and this vacation rental provided the perfect basecamp. The home had plenty of space, was very comfortable, very clean, and very private. It was also conveniently located within walking distance of the Suncadia Inn, which we would visit each day to purchase amazing coffee beverages. We will definitely go back!
