Unit is a 2 minute walk to the Elk river, 30 minute drive to Surveyor's Lake (Kikumun Provincial Park). Surveyor's Lake (Kikumun Provincial Park) has 2 beaches and wonderful clear, warm water in the summertime. It is located a 30 minute drive west of Fernie on Highway 3.
Ski/Board Out is a 5 minute transit/shuttle ride to runs from the property.

We stayed in this location between Xmas and New Year 2013 - eight adults and three young kids. The property managed to swallow us up easily with room for a few more.

We had an excellent time - the location requires a car or truck but once your set up it's a great place to holiday. Our kids now have a new favorite swimming pool at the Fernie leisure centre - we went after skiing most evenings and had a great time. The East Indian food in the Stanford Inn was also excellent if a little slow the night we were there.

This was a great break in good accommodation.

A great spot. Very quiet and lots of space. 5mins out of town by bicycle and steps to the river. The owners were great to deal with, very responsive and courteous. The unit was very clean.

Well equipped to sleep 10 or 12 people. Ten minutes from ski hill and golf. Five minutes to fishing and white water rafting. Plenty of hot water. Natural cooling in summer with Ferne's famous mountain air. Two fireplaces. Large family room. Covered deck for comfortable out door barbecuing or sunny breakfast. Ten minutes to spacious Leisure Centre with swimming pool, water slide, etc. Extra well equipped kitchen for entertaining large group.

There are no facilities in complex but there is a community leisure centre nearby where guests can pay to use pool/water slide, etc (hotel doesn't allow guests).
Entry is electronic key pad. Early check-in or late check-out can be arranged if there are no tenants immediately before or after your stay.

Riverside Mountain Village Vacation Rental Community - Distances - The complex is located on the edge of Fernie, beside the Elk River. The Fernie ski resort is a five minute drive and downtown Fernie is a five minute drive. The walk between the shuttle and complex is two minutes.
