great stay We stayed in 301 for 31 nights. Nice small condo building with 8 suites. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment. No beach mats, chairs or umbrella are in the suite. The biggest issue for us was that there was no comfortable seating. Two disparate wooden chairs both of which were very uncomfortable. I ended up using a folding beach chair which was more comfortable. A loveseat would be a welcome addition to the room. Clean but dated The unit is plain and clean. The pretty rug did not come with our place, but there was plenty of room for the two of us. Lots of storage. We were not impressed with the beds. The trundle didn't raise, but we really didn't need it. The power broom didn't work for me. I never tried the vacuum. We were mostly disappointed because there was no beach furniture as advertised, and no comfortable place to sit inside. The kitchen had everything we needed for light meals. The staff was polite and responsive. It served our needs for the price because we were staying a long time. The location was good, close to the beach, the zoo and the aquarium and bus stops.

Got worse The place was super dirty we had to wash the floors ourselves because they were black it’s like they haven’t been washed at all only swept. The countertops had sand on them. I stayed at this condos many times and this is the worst it’s been. Drive didn’t work had to contact them twice to do something about it. And at night we had 2 roaches on separate occasions interesting how when we didn’t leave the doors opened and we stayed on the 3rd floor. It does not sound like them to not clean the floors or the counters. Great vacation rental! Great rental for a great price! Close to beach, fully equipped kitchen with food store right against the building. Washers and dryers were very clean machines compared to most place we have stayed. Rooms were quiet, we could not hear any sound from any neighbors. Rental staff were amazingly kind. Good location for the price. The unit was as advertised, not high-end but comfortable and clean on arrival and that's what we expected and wanted. All my issues were promptly dealt with. Nice to have a free parking space in Waikiki. The laundry facility is used all day by management but from 5 to 10pm is free for the tenants use. Lots of road noise even at night. All in all a clean,comfortable decently priced condo on a busy road only 4 blocks from the beach. A great location and a great price. Clean!! The condo was clean, well stocked and close to the action. Next door is a littl quick mart, 3 blocks down there is the beach, the zoo, the Hawaiian market, and the fancy stores. It is on a side street so it is quieter. I highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable place with the comforts of home. Awesome place to stay It was very good, I enjoyed it even though I drew the short straw and got the 3rd story room. Amenities were excellent. Very Pleased Room was exactly as pictured on the site. Good place to rest Nice place to rest. nice to have a parking space. Short walk to the beach and to shops downtown. My only grips are the laundry was not working while we were there so if that's something you need I would call ahead. Its a nice place for adults or older children. One of the outlets close to the floor is missing its cover so I would not recommend the place for people with small children. It is up three flights of stairs so keep that in mind while you are packing. There is only one air conditioner in the dinning room so its a little difficult to keep the bedroom cool. All in all Hawaii is about getting out and exploring and the lower price on this accommodation allowed us to do that. Wonderful Stay Our stay was wonderful, condo was really clean and location was easy to get too. Only minor issues was the bathroom door would get stuck and we got back late and someone was in our assigned parking and we weren't sure what to do so we just parked in someone else's stall. We left a message for the management company just in case if we took some else stall so they could just call me if there was any issue. Family of Four We absolutely loved our stay at the Royal Moana. The beds were comfy, so nice to have great air con and location was fantastic. I'll go back again It was a nice stay, A fairly quiet room when needed. Had a couple of issues with water getting into the unit when raining, but other than that a comfortable stay. Nice location in a small building I really liked the location's convenience. Let me just list a few things that I thought needed attention. The counter in the bathroom is in need of repair. No saran wrap or zip lock bags. No oil or spices...the salt didn't come out of the shaker. No hooks in the bathroom. I already wrote a review but can't remember all of the issues. I basically like the building, but the things that I mentioned can improve the stay. Thank you. Family vacation It worked well for us. The location is a little sketchy, but pretty close to the beach. The appliances could be updated, but at least they worked. Would have been better if the tv worked all the time. Some channels would go in and out of service. As well as the Wi-Fi. This was probably the most frustrating.

GREAT LOCATION! Saved us some $$$! The unit was almost exactly as advertised. Great for a small family. Easy to check in and access unit. Awesome location, just a couple blocks up from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki beaches. Having a full kitchen is a benefit for meals. We were able to take a short trip to Safeway and grab some groceries to save some money instead of eating out every meal. A few small things: in the pictures it shows beach equipment in the closet. Upon arrival there was no beach equipment in the closet. We discovered on our 3rd day, the beach equipment was located under the stairs near the laundry for the guests. Would be helpful to include that info in the welcome package! The wine opener was also broken. Luckily, we usually bring one on vacation, so we left it behind so that the next guests didn't discover this. Check out at 10:30am is a little early. Our flight was not until 3:30pm and we had to walk down the street to ask hotels to store our luggage for a couple of hours. Based on the bathroom, I would say they do not spend 4hrs cleaning the unit between guests. we did request a later checkout of 11:30am to no avail, by email that wasn't replied to for a day and a half.The baseboards and tiles do not look like they are cleaned regularly. There also appeared to be small mold spots in the shower. A few of the dishes were not clean. We had to rewash a few prior to using them. All in all, we would look at using this rental company again! Condo Rental When we arrived at the location we were surprised how it looked compared to the pictures. It looked run down the ground the laundry area and in the condo missing piece of counter top as an edge mold in the shower, broken door attachment in the ceiling and a broken/missing vertical blind in the bedroom. For the price we paid if looking at the pictures when I did the booking to what we saw when we arrived it was a dissapointment. My husband and I were ok and felt we overpaid, didnt get the value of the price we paid. Also we found out the day of our check out that we could of had a late checking out and didn't find out until the day we had to check out. That would of been nice to have find out before the day of. Before I recommend your property you would need to match pictures to what it looks likes in the pictures and fix the issues mentioned. Convenient location at a responsible price! This rental was so close to the strip and Waikiki beach. We only had to walk a couple blocks (5 minutes) and we were at the beach, shopping, and lots of beautiful shops. Great location without breaking the bank. Air conditioner didn't work upon arrival, but when we returned the next day after some beach time we were quite happy it had been fixed, and our room was nice and cool. Loved the app they sent once we made reservation. So helpful on directions, places to eat, things to do and what condo included. We used their app every day. I wish all the places we rent from did this. We also paid for the parking spot, which was very convenient, but quite tight.

Great stay We were two adults and two children, age 7 and 9, for six nights. Easy check in, sentral location and the apartment was nice. It’s not the biggest place for four people, but for us it was no problem. We were out all day anyway. Remember to book a parkingspace at the same time you book the apartement. Very convenient and comfortable location I originally booked this room in January for my parents and myself. Some unfortunate circumstances forced us to cancel our plans and move the trip to April. The folks at Alii refunded part of our trip so we appreciated that. The apartment is located in a quieter part of Waikiki near an empty building lot. Walking up the stairs is actually very pleasant. The apartment is very modern and the main bed is comfortable with a large TV on the wall and a ceiling fan. When we arrived the AC didn't seem to be working and they sent a repair man a day later to check the unit. Overall a very pleasant place close to the beach to stay.

Royal Moana It wasn't bad and it fit our needs for the short stay that we were there. Had a few issues, like the microwave not working plugged into the spot where it was setting...kept blowing the button on the plug, so we had to move it to another spot to use it.

Royal Moana Our stay at the Royal Moana was a good one. The place was clean the bed was comfortable. All amenities were there as per listing. We would stay here again. There is just one suggestion we have. It would be great to have a holder in the shower for soap and shampoo.

Hawaii Good location with everything you need. No elevator and a little noisy at night but relatively clean. Wonderful time Have stayed at this location several time before. Perfect spot in Waikiki. Close to everything. Only one downfall: the noise. It has increasingly got worse over the years. Nearby construction, local traffic (along with early morning garbage pick up every second day) had become a bit much. The beds in this particular unit (301) need to be replaced. The mattress on the day bed (second bed) was very uncomfortable. The big bed was a bit better, but not a whole lot. Just things to keep in mind. Did have a wonderful time, and will be returning shortly. Just not sure it will be this particular location. Maybe look at staying outside of Waikiki. Happy Holidays. Disappointing Unit was advertised as a one- bedroom condo, but actually was a converted studio separated by a sliding door that didnt close properly. No bathtub, just shower. Glass doors to lanai need heavy curtains to block out bright street lights at night. Granite counter top in bathroom had large sections missing, with sharp edges. Unit was clean. Great place for family of four Booking and getting into the condo was easy. Condo was clean and comfy. Lots of room, beds were comfortable. Lots of extra linen and supplies for kitchen and beach. Great location close to beach and you couldn't beat the price. The only minor flaw was there's no view but we would still definitely rent again. Royal Moana 301 Royal Moana was amazing. The room fit our every need. Just a short walk to the beach made location great. What an Amazing time! We had a group of 4, 2 men and 2 women. The property accommodated us perfectly. The space was very open, we very rarely had to even step around one another. The unit was very well kept, nice amenities such as the Television, the kitchen, and the closet already full of everything we needed. Not to mention all of the extra beach gear. The chairs and sand matts were a LIFE SAVER. The location was utterly amazing, I personally ran on Waikiki's beach in the mornings and it only took me 4 minutes to WALK to the beach. About a 10 minute walk to downtown Waikiki and all of the night life we needed. The staff was super professional and helpful. We received great communication before, during, and after our stay. The only thing we can pick out that was not to our liking was that the dishes weren't even remotely clean. We however had all of the utensils to clean the dishes so we worked that out. We were all pleasantly happy and content with our stay and definitely plan to stay again in the future. Only suggestion would be to have the cleaning company come in and clean the dishes a day or so before someone is due to stay in the unit. Thank you all so much for everything ... Delightful my rental experience was great lots of room for me and some friends I had over for a night. I maintenance guy was very helpful with phone numbers for everything I needed. Great location all you need and will be back It was in a great location of the beach and everything. Close to grocery store was great. Everything for dishes was clean and new. Will be back here 100%. Really liked how organized everything was from checkout to leaving. And the free beach items to use was great. Only thing I will mention was ceiling fan was not dusted in a long time and should be done if the on top of bed to keep cool. Other than that was AMAZING!!

Over all, pretty good This unit was perfect for the 2 weeks that we stayed. The parking was great, although very small. This condos was so close to everything that we needed to get to. The only problem I had was the bath & beach towels. They were not clean. I had to wash all of them before using them. I would still recommend anyone stay here if you are here for a lengthy time. Great location. Apartment was situated only 5 minutes from Waikiki beach. There was a small grocery store only 1 minute away and laundry facilities at the property. One complaint was there were only 2 chairs at the table so we had to use a plastic chair from the balcony as we were three. Overall we had a great experience.

Royal Moana #301 This rental was a good value for the money. Not luxury but certainly adequate. We did have a couple issues as in the Main TV did not work when we got there and the Air Conditioner broke on the 3 day but the management sent their maintenance Guy promptly and fixed the problems. All in all it is a convenient location about 3 blocks from the beach and we enjoyed the stay. Clean and well maintained Condo excellent service. We stayed at the Royal Moana condo for 3-weeks. Its a smaller size 4-story building in a very good location, not clustered in like the mega buildings, quite area. Excellent customer service from beginning to end. Waikiki experience Location was ideal to the beach, dining, airport, shopping, Diamond Head, zoo,....all walkable! Condo was clean, ac, parking available if needed for minimal charge. Lacking - comfortable seating for reading. Lanai was overstated as only room for a chair sideways. Service was excellent as coffee maker did not work and they showed up quickly. Bed leg did break, reported but told them no hurry as we put a brick under for support (it was a holiday week). Overall - great for the price! very dissapointed we rented this condo on photos and that they said it was remodeled 6 months ago. clearly not.didn't look anything like photos . have major work to be done in it. and the remodeling that supposedly was done was done very badly. worst rental we have ever stayed in and dirty. I took lots of photos of this place . terrible. dirty dishes in cabinets , only one dirty coffee cup. still there you can check it out. coffee maker and pot and utensils dirty. floor filthy dirty. lazy susan in kitchen cabinet dirty. mini blind over stove had missing sections and dirty. vertical blind in bed area broken and missing section. light in closet but no light switch. pocket doors didn't work. found big puddle of water in living area when we arrived clearly a leak from somewhere found another by toilet from three large bubbles on ceiling over toilet. bathroom closet door was redone apparently but could not close properly due to it wouldn't fit in track. three granite tile from bathroom shelf not there. one of bathroom drawers top right hand corner under the sink doesn't close right because tile in way same in kitchen top right under the microwave. the track of patio door and balcony so dirty. saw a Swiffer sweeper in corner by frig with the dirty pad on it. I guess that how the floor was cleaning .yuck.this place ruined our vacation. so disappointed we called your office and told them about water on floor in living room they sent someone to clean it up while we went to eat that was before we saw the condition of the place and the other problems and called office next day and talked to kali and sent some more photos not all didn't want to spend my whole vacation sending photos of this place. kali said it was rental ready,not. I don't know why I paided a cleaning deposit for this place . like to know why ?. I rewashed the bed sheets too. I wish someone would have come down to this condo to meet with us about this place and see for them selves.since I spend my vacation time cleaning it up. Don't Stay Here Picture on website looks nice and fresh but the unit is a disappointment. It's smaller than it appears and it is worn out. Uncomfortable bed. Bad area. Initially took 20 minutes to open the exterior lockbox to get the key to enter the exterior gate. Got up to 3rd floor (walkup - no elevator) and combination to room didn't work. Management company was tremendously helpful and told me that it was because I arrived early and that the lock would not work until 3:30 check-in time. They gave me a different temporary combination to get in. Turned out that new locks were put on a week earlier and new combinations were required but I was not notified. Didn't find this out until I went to beach, came back and was locked out. Called emergency #. They installed new locks and changed the 4 digit combination to 8 digits. Had to write it down and keep it with me since it was not easily remembered. Next morning I went out for coffee at 6:00 am and came back only to find that the exterior lockbox containing the gate key was broken and could not be opened to get back in. Had to climb over 6 foot fence. Not a trivial task for a 58 year old. Although only 2 1/2 blocks from beach, the area was run down. Homeless sleeping on street and in some building doorways. I made a reservation at a nice hotel, called a taxi and left at 9:00 am. Took the loss for the unit and chalked it up to a bad experience. Didn't report anything to the management company since they didn't deserve to be informed after placing such a misleading unit for rent. Not sure what other properties they represent but will steer clear Ali'i Beach Rentals! royal moana 301 Pictures shown made the apartment seem bigger than it actually was. We had 2 adults and 2 kids stay at the unit. Overall it was ok. There is a partition door you can pull close to have a little privacy in the bedroom, but it's not really that private as the kids' beds are right next to the door. The partition door was also off it's tracks so it was hard to close. Maintenance was aware, but said it was difficult to fix so I don't expect they'll be doing so anytime soon. The dining table was small and only had 2 chairs so we all couldn't sit down to eat. Bathroom was spacious enough. Would have appreciated an adjustable shower spray head (it didn't have one). Parking is convenient - right below the property, but not enclosed. For the price it was adequate. Good budget accomodation We arrived at night. Good lighting at the entry and gate. This unit would be best for 2 guests but not ideal for more than that. Very tiny table and only 2 chairs(unless you brought 2 in from the balcony)Balcony is very tiny. Kitchen cupboards are awkwardly high and it was hard to reach the items. They should have a step stool in there for anyone under 6ft tall. Bathroom was nice and big but not in great shape. The shower could use a better cleaning as there was black mould on the tile grout. Also broken/missing tile on the counter. Lots of towels which was great. The beach amenities were terrible. Someone needs to clean out the bins with all the beach gear. Lots of broken umbrellas and ripped beach matts. We were hoping to use beach chairs but there weren't any. This was the best priced property we could find when we booked. For that reason it was acceptable for us. I wouldn't expect anything fancy for the price we paid. It was just ok and I would stay here again but only if it was saving me money like it did this time. Good alternative to a budget hotel This is the second time we’re staying at Royal Moana – and we love it. Having a full kitchen is an absolute advantage over a hotel – and the property is nice, too. Five minutes from the beach, stores nearby – yet it’s very quiet as compared to places on Kuhio. Priced similarly to a budget hotel, it’s a great option, especially when vacationing with little children. unhappy with unit. The whole unit needs a thorough cleaning and inspection. There is no screen for the sliding glass door, the glass door is hard to move, the shower has the caulking coming out around the drain, the toilet water will not turn off unless you manually lift the lid. The ironing board cover was burn't and the iron wasn't working. This leads me to believe that the unit is not inspected on a regular basis.

Great way to see Waikiki We didn't spend much time in our room with so much to do in Waikiki. We opted to leave the blinds to the main windows closed as the view of messy balconies is not impressive, but the view to the mountains is great. (we did not rent this room for the view) Make sure to bring shampoo, soap, conditioner and all foods that you will need if you plan on cooking. There was some salt and pepper. The location is great for buses, beach and walking. Bring some dvds if you plan to be in early in the evening. If you have issues with stairs or carrying luggage this is not for you. If you read that the unit has boogie boards, chairs, beach umbrellas and snorkel gear this is true, but once you get to the unit you learn there is a fee to use these items. A nice vacation condo. We really enjoyed our stay ay #301 at the Royal Moana. The location was close to the beach and an easy walk to restaurants, stores, & shops. The accommodations were very good, perfect for up to four people. The only complaint I would have is the street noise as Liliuokalani seems to be used a lot by buses, trucks, & motorcycles.Then there are the constant sirens. Not much you can do about that, except wear earplugs. Kudos to Shannon as she met our every request and need. She also gave us a great tip on grocery shopping. We would definitely come back.

OK but not what I paid for There was a piece of the tile missing on bathroom counter. Limited seating at table. The TV remote did not work. The ancient air conditioner was extremely loud. Couldn't sleep with it on. Floors were dirty. Ants in the kitchen and bathroom. No light in the closet. Difficult to see. Keybox numbers hard to see in the dark. Not really a scenic view. Couldn't close the sliding pocket door. Parking was helpful. Would suggest that for anyone who stays there. Nice patio area and nice to have laundry facility on site. Little store next door was very convenient. Felt secure with the locking gates. Home Medic device nice. Noisy neighborhood with street noise from tour busses. Kitchen cabinet doors were loose. 10:00 checkout time is too early, especially when you can't check in until 3:00. Aloha Had a great time, great location/place the only thing we would suggest is oven mitts, a map for each unit for the basics (safeway, Walmart, Costco) with suggestions on how to get to each, e.g. walk/bus & what number and a locker for the leaving guests to leave their luggage in after vacating and dont fly out for a while later in the day/night. We were lucky to meet the people from above who let us leave our luggage for the day. Other than that there are less than limited options. Satisfied and Happy Travellers We were happy with our experience staying in the condominium. The place is spacious and they provide good cooking utensils. However, the air conditioner is sooo noisy that you will need an air plug. For the 16 days we stayed, they only gave us a 50 ml. of shampoo and conditioner and 4 pcs. toilet paper. The conditioner is broken, not sure if it has been used. I would suggest that depending on the number of days, the place is booked, the company should provide the amenities accordingly. Also, for 16 days, the linens has not been changed as there are no other ones available in the suite, this should also be provided accordingly depending on how long the guests are staying. Also, it would be great if we have the option for a late check out too. The company they suggested would charge us $50 just to pick our luggages and another $50 for few hours of storage. This is too pricy! Generally, the experience we had is good and I will recommend this place to friends. We did not experience any problem with the company.

Biggest "Bang" for the Buck We were very impressed at the cleanliness and convenient location of this unit. We were on 301, so we had two flights of stairs to climb--but, so what? It was good exercise. The beach and many attractions are in walking distance of the condo. The condo and the grounds are well maintained. The bed afforded us a good night's sleep. There is no carpeting on the floors, so there was never any odd smell coming from any carpet. As a former resident of Oahu (the first 21 years of my life), I know how difficult it can be to keep a residence totally cockroach free. Well, we NEVER saw the first nasty critter! Woohoo! We stayed for a week and had a rental car. My only regret is that we didn't book this condo until about 6 weeks prior to our arrival, and all the parking spaces had been spoken for. Therefore, we followed the advice of the manager and secured parking at the Waikiki Banyan a block away on Ohua Street. (We did find a shortcut just outside the lobby of the Waikiki Banyan through the driveway of another hotel, so we didn't have to walk all the way to Kuhio Avenue and had a direct connection from Ohua to Lilioukalani.) This worked out fine, but I'll be sure to make reservations well in advance the next time so that we can have the convenience of a parking stall on the premises. Besides, the parking fee at the Royal Moana is $3 less per day than the Waikiki Banyan. Live and learn, I always say. Although there is an air conditioner in the unit, we left it off and opened the jalousies and sliding glass door to let the tradewinds blow through the condo during the daytime. So, if you want a clean and very affordable rental in a great location, this is the place for you. Also, if your party consists of more than one family, maybe you'll be lucky enough to have more than one unit available for rental. Mahalo Nui Loa, Alii Beach Rentals--you are great at what you do!

Good Affordable Accommodation My wife and I stayed at Royal Moana for two weeks and enjoyed our stay there. On our arrival late at night we found that the air conditioner did not work properly. I phoned Barry from Maintenance in the morning and he was there an hour later, checked it out and replaced it with a new one that afternoon.Could not ask for better service than that and he was just a great guy to deal with.All the staff working around the property were very friendly and courteous.The location is very good, being only a couple of blocks to the beach.The Kitchen area was well equipped with everything that we needed. The only suggestion that we have is that it would have been convenient to have some bathroom cleaning supplies in the condo for people who stay there for a longer time.We would certainly stay there in the future.

Average We were really happy with the location of the condo. It was right in the heart of Waikiki and all the action and close to the beach. The instructions to get in and out of the property were great and the parking was great too! Overall, the condo was good-not as clean as I like things but it was ok. It looked really clean except under that tables. The dish rack has pizza left on it from the previous stay which was kinda of gross. The microwave and toaster did not work which was unfortunate as we chose the condo to cook for ourselves. We just had to use the broiler instead to make toast, etc. The bed was a little understandards but it worked. We didn't realize the beach equipment was available until the last day (our fault) and that increased our experience. Overall, the experience was pretty good with few minor things. We would recommend it to others as the price was right for what you get and OAHU is EXPENSIVE. We were going for a budget trip this time. However, Waikiki is not as relaxing because it's in the middle of a city so we will probably go to a more secluded island next time-in Mexico or Caribbean.

Great price and location I was very happy with our rental. Very convenient and close to the beach. We saved some money cooking at "home" and using the beach gear available for our use. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals(pots,toaster,plates,utensils,etc.) Lots of storage!! If you rent a car, make sure you rent a parking spot offered at the location. At $9 a day, it's a steal. There is no parking available on the street. The only con about the place was the cleanliness. The tv controls were full of dust and I found other hair on the floor and bathroom which didn't belong to me or my family. Had a great time in Hawaii and this place was wonderful! Will come back here when returning to Hawaii.

Great Location in Waikiki, but Furniture is Outdated My husband and I stayed at the Royal Moana 301 for three days in late November. Firstly, the location of the condo is excellent. It's 3 blocks from the Waikiki strip, which parallels Waikiki Beach. There are several hotels and nice restaurants within easy walking distance. The condo itself is a little outdated. The small couch, which is really more of a two person patio couch is wicker and not very comfortable. There is a daybed, but a person over 5' tall would have a difficult time fitting. The television is a 17" tube tv from the late 80's and its remote only controlled the power and volume. The channels have to be manually changed (get up, walk to the tv, bend over, and stand there flipping through the channels). The bed was comfortable, although it didn't have a top sheet, which we stole from the daybed. The granite in the kitchen and bathroom is nice, but had an edge strip missing in the bathroom. The kitchen cabinets are in good condition and stocked with all the amenities one needs. We've stayed in several condo's on the Hawaiian islands and this one is excellent for its location.

Royal Moana 301 About a 3 minute walk to the beach and on the same street as McDonalds. The preopty has its own beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards and snorkel sets you can take to the beach which is nice but there are not a lot. For example, there were only 3 or 4 beach chairs and about 5 boogie boards. We never had a problem but if more than one or two families is taking stuff you won't have anything. Parking is kind of expensive at $9/night. I just parked on the Ali Wai Blvd which is a 20 second walk away for free. However, it is hard to find a free spot unless you are willing to walk. One day I found a spot literally a 100 yards away and another day it was a 5 minute walk away. So free parking is around but it is not perfect. If you don't want to mess around then rent the spot. place was clean and conveniently located. Price was similar to a hotel room in the area except it was better in that it had a kitchenette. No pool but who cares, they have an ocean. I would stay there again. (PS - no elevator so try and get a lower unit)

Great location We found everything in the apartment as described. The apartment was clean, except the dining table, which has woodwork around around the counter top which is very hard to clean. The apartment is close to everything in Waikiki in walking distance. And the price is very decent. It is great for a couple, I would find it a bit to small for more people. I would definitly recommend the apartment.

Satisfactory Experience We had a good experience overall. The money we spent on our stay was worth it. As with everything there's always room for improvement. Here's our list of things for improvement: 1. The silverware should be replaced for better quality silverware as some of it was rusty and there was even a tinny taste when eating off the spoons. 2. It would also be nice to have a screen for the large porch door. 3. When we opened the coffee maker to make coffee on our first morning there was a used moldy coffee filter in there. 4. The baking pans need washing. I did not want to use them as they were oily and greasy from previous customers. 5. One of the white hand towels had a brown stain. 6. You might want to check the fridge for stains around the seal. 7. The fridge was clean overall but something had been spilled around the edge and not cleaned. 8. It would be nice to have a vacuum cleaner with all the sand we constantly brought in. While these are details that can be improved on, overall we were satisfied with our experience. Thank you!

Waikiki Walk up This unit is pretty small, but the so is the price. The kitchen and the bathroom are great and well stocked. There was lots of salt, pepper, some olive oil etc. The bathroom is well stocked with spotless white towels. Everything is tiled and super clean. The biggest cons with this unit are the beds and bedding. The mattresses are worn out. They are not just soft, but they sink down in the middle. The bedding is stained and needs to be replaced. It is a shame and would make it impossible to come back or recommend.

Loud and dirty We had a terrible stay at this rental. The room is on the third floor with no elevator. The property is near two major streets and is LOUD all day until 2AM and then the noise starts again at 5AM. It is also not very clean. We had trouble sleeping there and called property management to tell them that we will be moving out and they were not able to accommodate a refund for the remaining days of our scheduled stay. They also told us that it is stated in the listing that there is no elevator and that they cannot control the sound. Terrible stay, don't stay here!

Royal Moana 301 I have to say I had the most amazing time in Hawaii ! Royal Moana Review Although the furniture in the condo was not quite as seen in the picture, the condo itself was very functional, clean, and very convenient for our needs. The neighbors were quiet and the staff could not have been more helpful. Previous guests had mentioned street noise at night - this wasn't an issue for us. We did use the air conditioner at night so this might have played a part. I would recommend this condo.

The worst experience The website's description misleads the viewers. I was totally misled by the photos and the description posted on the website. The place was described "newly renovated". Actually, the tiles on the floor were filthy , a few tiles of the bathroom counter were missing, noisy, roaches,...etc. I have the photos to approve. Because of this poor experience, I can't trust what the description and the photos posted on the website. Think twice before you make the reservation because if you aren't satisfied with the place, they won't refund you in full or not at all. I would much prefer hotels to VRBO/HomeAway from now on.

We arrived at night. Good lighting at the entry and gate. This unit would be best for 2 guests but not ideal for more than that. Very tiny table and only 2 chairs(unless you brought 2 in from the balcony)Balcony is very tiny. Kitchen cupboards are awkwardly high and it was hard to reach the items. They should have a step stool in there for anyone under 6ft tall. Bathroom was nice and big but not in great shape. The shower could use a better cleaning as there was black mould on the tile grout. Also broken/missing tile on the counter. Lots of towels which was great. The beach amenities were terrible. Someone needs to clean out the bins with all the beach gear. Lots of broken umbrellas and ripped beach matts. We were hoping to use beach chairs but there weren't any. This was the best priced property we could find when we booked. Pictures shown made the apartment seem bigger than it actually was. We had 2 adults and 2 kids stay at the unit. Overall it was ok. There is a partition door you can pull close to have a little privacy in the bedroom, but it's not really that private as the kids' beds are right next to the door. The partition door was also off it's tracks so it was hard to close. Maintenance was aware, but said it was difficult to fix so I don't expect they'll be doing so anytime soon. The dining table was small and only had 2 chairs so we all couldn't sit down to eat. Bathroom was spacious enough. Would have appreciated an adjustable shower spray head (it didn't have one). Parking is convenient - right below the property, but not enclosed. For the price it was adequate.

We enjoyed very much our first stay in Oahu. Condo was convenient regarding location, very close to the beach, shops and night life. Small but enough and equipped for 4 (table can't accomadate meals for 4). Overall satisfied with the property. Picture on website looks nice and fresh but the unit is a disappointment. It's smaller than it appears and it is worn out. Uncomfortable bed. Bad area. Initially took 20 minutes to open the exterior lockbox to get the key to enter the exterior gate. Got up to 3rd floor (walkup - no elevator) and combination to room didn't work. Management company was tremendously helpful and told me that it was because I arrived early and that the lock would not work until 3:30 check-in time. They gave me a different temporary combination to get in. Turned out that new locks were put on a week earlier and new combinations were required but I was not notified. Didn't find this out until I went to beach, came back and was locked out. Called emergency #. They installed new locks and changed the 4 digit combination to 8 digits. Had to write it down and keep it with me since it was not easily remembered. we rented this condo on photos and that they said it was remodeled 6 months ago. clearly not.didn't look anything like photos . have major work to be done in it. and the remodeling that supposedly was done was done very badly. worst rental we have ever stayed in and dirty. We stayed at the Royal Moana condo for 3-weeks. Its a smaller size 4-story building in a very good location, not clustered in like the mega buildings, quite area. Excellent customer service from beginning to end. Unit is a good size very clean and upgraded. Very close to the beach and all amenities.Good value for the price range. Will go back if opportunity arises again.

Location was ideal to the beach, dining, airport, shopping, Diamond Head, zoo,....all walkable! Condo was clean, ac, parking available if needed for minimal charge. Lacking - comfortable seating for reading. Lanai was overstated as only room for a chair sideways. Service was excellent as coffee maker did not work and they showed up quickly. Bed leg did break, reported but told them no hurry as we put a brick under for support (it was a holiday week). Overall - great for the price!

Apartment was situated only 5 minutes from Waikiki beach. There was a small grocery store only 1 minute away and laundry facilities at the property. One complaint was there were only 2 chairs at the table so we had to use a plastic chair from the balcony as we were three. Overall we had a great experience.

This rental was a good value for the money. Not luxury but certainly adequate. We did have a couple issues as in the Main TV did not work when we got there and the Air Conditioner broke on the 3 day but the management sent their maintenance Guy promptly and fixed the problems. All in all it is a convenient location about 3 blocks from the beach and we enjoyed the stay. I did feel the $115.00 cleaning fee was a little steep especially when they ask you to do the dishes and take out garbage at checkout since it is a studio apt and there is very little cleaning to do for $115

It was in a great location of the beach and everything. Close to grocery store was great. Everything for dishes was clean and new. Will be back here 100%. Really liked how organized everything was from checkout to leaving. And the free beach items to use was great. Only thing I will mention was ceiling fan was not dusted in a long time and should be done if the on top of bed to keep cool. Other than that was AMAZING!!

This unit was perfect for the 2 weeks that we stayed. The parking was great, although very small. This condos was so close to everything that we needed to get to. The only problem I had was the bath & beach towels. They were not clean. I had to wash all of them before using them. I would still recommend anyone stay here if you are here for a lengthy time. We had a group of 4, 2 men and 2 women. The property accommodated us perfectly. The space was very open, we very rarely had to even step around one another. The unit was very well kept, nice amenities such as the Television, the kitchen, and the closet already full of everything we needed. Not to mention all of the extra beach gear. The chairs and sand matts were a LIFE SAVER. The location was utterly amazing, I personally ran on Waikiki's beach in the mornings and it only took me 4 minutes to WALK to the beach. About a 10 minute walk to downtown Waikiki and all of the night life we needed. The staff was super professional and helpful. We received great communication before, during, and after our stay. The only thing we can pick out that was not to our liking was that the dishes weren't even remotely clean. We however had all of the utensils to clean the dishes so we worked that out. Unit was advertised as a one- bedroom condo, but actually was a converted studio separated by a sliding door that didnt close properly. No bathtub, just shower. Glass doors to lanai need heavy curtains to block out bright street lights at night. Granite counter top in bathroom had large sections missing, with sharp edges. Unit was clean.

Have stayed at this location several time before. Perfect spot in Waikiki. Close to everything. Only one downfall: the noise. It has increasingly got worse over the years. Nearby construction, local traffic (along with early morning garbage pick up every second day) had become a bit much. The beds in this particular unit (301) need to be replaced. The mattress on the day bed (second bed) was very uncomfortable. The big bed was a bit better, but not a whole lot. Just things to keep in mind. Did have a wonderful time, and will be returning shortly. Just not sure it will be this particular location. Maybe look at staying outside of Waikiki. Happy Holidays.

About a 3 minute walk to the beach and on the same street as McDonalds. The preopty has its own beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards and snorkel sets you can take to the beach which is nice but there are not a lot. For example, there were only 3 or 4 beach chairs and about 5 boogie boards. We never had a problem but if more than one or two families is taking stuff you won't have anything. Parking is kind of expensive at $9/night. I just parked on the Ali Wai Blvd which is a 20 second walk away for free. However, it is hard to find a free spot unless you are willing to walk. One day I found a spot literally a 100 yards away and another day it was a 5 minute walk away. So free parking is around but it is not perfect. If you don't want to mess around then rent the spot. place was clean and conveniently located. Price was similar to a hotel room in the area except it was better in that it had a kitchenette. I was very happy with our rental. Very convenient and close to the beach. We saved some money cooking at "home" and using the beach gear available for our use. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals(pots,toaster,plates,utensils,etc.) Lots of storage!! If you rent a car, make sure you rent a parking spot offered at the location. At $9 a day, it's a steal. There is no parking available on the street. The only con about the place was the cleanliness. The tv controls were full of dust and I found other hair on the floor and bathroom which didn't belong to me or my family. Had a great time in Hawaii and this place was wonderful! Will come back here when returning to Hawaii.

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Moana 301 for three days in late November. Firstly, the location of the condo is excellent. It's 3 blocks from the Waikiki strip, which parallels Waikiki Beach. There are several hotels and nice restaurants within easy walking distance. The condo itself is a little outdated. The small couch, which is really more of a two person patio couch is wicker and not very comfortable. There is a daybed, but a person over 5' tall would have a difficult time fitting. The television is a 17" tube tv from the late 80's and its remote only controlled the power and volume. The channels have to be manually changed (get up, walk to the tv, bend over, and stand there flipping through the channels). The bed was comfortable, although it didn't have a top sheet, which we stole from the daybed. The granite in the kitchen and bathroom is nice, but had an edge strip missing in the bathroom. We were really happy with the location of the condo. It was right in the heart of Waikiki and all the action and close to the beach. The instructions to get in and out of the property were great and the parking was great too! Overall, the condo was good-not as clean as I like things but it was ok. It looked really clean except under that tables. The dish rack has pizza left on it from the previous stay which was kinda of gross. The microwave and toaster did not work which was unfortunate as we chose the condo to cook for ourselves. We just had to use the broiler instead to make toast, etc. The bed was a little understandards but it worked. We were very impressed at the cleanliness and convenient location of this unit. We were on 301, so we had two flights of stairs to climb--but, so what? It was good exercise. The beach and many attractions are in walking distance of the condo. The condo and the grounds are well maintained. The bed afforded us a good night's sleep. There is no carpeting on the floors, so there was never any odd smell coming from any carpet. As a former resident of Oahu (the first 21 years of my life), I know how difficult it can be to keep a residence totally cockroach free. Well, we NEVER saw the first nasty critter! Woohoo! My wife and I stayed at Royal Moana for two weeks and enjoyed our stay there. On our arrival late at night we found that the air conditioner did not work properly. I phoned Barry from Maintenance in the morning and he was there an hour later, checked it out and replaced it with a new one that afternoon.Could not ask for better service than that and he was just a great guy to deal with.All the staff working around the property were very friendly and courteous.The location is very good, being only a couple of blocks to the beach.The Kitchen area was well equipped with everything that we needed. The only suggestion that we have is that it would have been convenient to have some bathroom cleaning supplies in the condo for people who stay there for a longer time.We would certainly stay there in the future.

We were happy with our experience staying in the condominium. The place is spacious and they provide good cooking utensils. However, the air conditioner is sooo noisy that you will need an air plug. For the 16 days we stayed, they only gave us a 50 ml. of shampoo and conditioner and 4 pcs. toilet paper. The conditioner is broken, not sure if it has been used. I would suggest that depending on the number of days, the place is booked, the company should provide the amenities accordingly. Also, for 16 days, the linens has not been changed as there are no other ones available in the suite, this should also be provided accordingly depending on how long the guests are staying. Also, it would be great if we have the option for a late check out too. The company they suggested would charge us $50 just to pick our luggages and another $50 for few hours of storage. We really enjoyed our stay ay #301 at the Royal Moana. The location was close to the beach and an easy walk to restaurants, stores, & shops. The accommodations were very good, perfect for up to four people. The only complaint I would have is the street noise as Liliuokalani seems to be used a lot by buses, trucks, & motorcycles.Then there are the constant sirens. Not much you can do about that, except wear earplugs. Kudos to Shannon as she met our every request and need. She also gave us a great tip on grocery shopping. We would definitely come back.

Had a great time, great location/place the only thing we would suggest is oven mitts, a map for each unit for the basics (safeway, Walmart, Costco) with suggestions on how to get to each, e.g. walk/bus & what number and a locker for the leaving guests to leave their luggage in after vacating and dont fly out for a while later in the day/night. We were lucky to meet the people from above who let us leave our luggage for the day. Other than that there are less than limited options.

The whole unit needs a thorough cleaning and inspection. There is no screen for the sliding glass door, the glass door is hard to move, the shower has the caulking coming out around the drain, the toilet water will not turn off unless you manually lift the lid. The ironing board cover was burn't and the iron wasn't working. This leads me to believe that the unit is not inspected on a regular basis.

There was a piece of the tile missing on bathroom counter. Limited seating at table. The TV remote did not work. The ancient air conditioner was extremely loud. Couldn't sleep with it on. Floors were dirty. Ants in the kitchen and bathroom. No light in the closet. Difficult to see. Keybox numbers hard to see in the dark. Not really a scenic view. Couldn't close the sliding pocket door. Parking was helpful. Would suggest that for anyone who stays there. Nice patio area and nice to have laundry facility on site. Little store next door was very convenient. Felt secure with the locking gates. Home Medic device nice. Noisy neighborhood with street noise from tour busses. Kitchen cabinet doors were loose. 10:00 checkout time is too early, especially when you can't check in until 3:00.

We didn't spend much time in our room with so much to do in Waikiki. We opted to leave the blinds to the main windows closed as the view of messy balconies is not impressive, but the view to the mountains is great. (we did not rent this room for the view) Make sure to bring shampoo, soap, conditioner and all foods that you will need if you plan on cooking. There was some salt and pepper. The location is great for buses, beach and walking. Bring some dvds if you plan to be in early in the evening. If you have issues with stairs or carrying luggage this is not for you. If you read that the unit has boogie boards, chairs, beach umbrellas and snorkel gear this is true, but once you get to the unit you learn there is a fee to use these items.

Very convenient to the beach, transportation, groceries, etc. An updated property that still reflects Hawaiian charm. The property is well kept and the management and maintenance team show they care about any issue that needs resolving. It all makes for a carefree and fun vacation spot from the booking process to closing the door the last time on the way back to the airport. Kudos and Mahalo!

This is the second time we’re staying at Royal Moana – and we love it. Having a full kitchen is an absolute advantage over a hotel – and the property is nice, too. Five minutes from the beach, stores nearby – yet it’s very quiet as compared to places on Kuhio. Priced similarly to a budget hotel, it’s a great option, especially when vacationing with little children.

Location is excellent for access to Waikiki and we explored all parts of the island using this as our base. Pay the extra for parking, it is a must. The unit was spotless, linens were of good quality and overall it was a good bargain. There was alot of street noise at night and in the early morning (it is a big city, after all). The air conditioner fan was very noisy as well which didn't help. There was no usable casual seating in the unit which would make it less than ideal if you plan to spend much time in the unit. We basically ate some meals and slept there.

My wife could not stop talking about the location of this condo. We really enjoyed our stay. It was close to everything and very quiet at night. We actually rented another condo on a different island for twice the money and this one is by far superior. It was cool at night even without using the air. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Oahu

We had a great time in Oahu, saw lots and had a wonderful relaxing time. The location could not have been better, right downtown and within walking distance of everything to do in Waikiki. The apt. was clean and in good shape, never did get a kettle that we requested. The staff was around but we did not really need them. Laundry facilities were reasonably priced. It would have been nice if we had been made aware of the recycle bins, and it would even have been better if they had been marked, we are used to blue /green boxes here in Canada so it would have made us feel better to throw glass, cans and plastic in marked boxes/bins.

We rate a 5 - very satisfied in all areas. We loved our stay at the condo. It was perfect. Close to the beach, grocery store right next door, near everything we needed. It was clean, well decorated, lots of closet and cabinet space, and we felt safe. We are active so walking the stairs to the unit was just fine. Shelley (reservationist and office contact) and Sheanna (housekeeper) were great. If you need an elevator, you might want to consider one of Alii's other properties for rent. Mahalo and aloha. Management and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy to reach at all times. Condo was cute, beautiful bathroom, well stocked kitchen and there was a little store right next door that sold pretty much anything you could need. One block from main bus line and 2-3 blocks from Waikiki beach. Would definitely stay here again.

We found the Royal Moana Apartments just fine for our family of 3. It doesn't have a water view, but when you are less than 5 minutes walk from the beach, who needs a water view anyway? The apartment was clean, had everything we needed. Would stay here again.

Great visit! Close to the beach and all the shops. For the price you can't go wrong. The garbage men in the AM are a little noisy but it gives you a great chance to get an early start to your day. Would definitely stay there again!

Overall great condo. No spend em too much fo rent. Got clean kitchen for make your own grinds or walk to local grinds in Waikiki or even mo betta, Rainbow Drive-in on Kapahulu. Very easy to reserve and even provide one parking for car. Big Shaka to Ali'i Beach Rentals.

This is a great condo for staying in downtown Waikiki. Its conveniently located near the beach (3 blocks), shopping, and dinning. The place is quite nice but its also affordable. If we make it back, we would want to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. Only negative comments to share would be the sliding glass door needed to be fixed (wind howled through it and it wouldn't lock - safety issue), a couple lightbulbs were burned out or light didn't work at all, smoke detector was missing battery (safety issue) and couple utensils were previously broken. We were out and about most of the time so not major deal to us but should be fixed regardless. The area is not the best but overall the condo was great for the money and we highly recommend parking space!

Condo was exceptionally clean, nicely renovated and spacious for the price. Check in was simple. Location was 2 blocks from Waikiki beach, which did not bother me, but might not be for those wanting beach front. But you could not find a better place for the price. Only negative could be that the area surrounding Condo is under development and not that pleasing to look at, but overall location was suitable, safe and family friendly.
