Weekend in Prairie Flower Treehouse My husband and I booked to stay in a treehouse. Since it sleeps 6, we invited friends to join us. All 6 of us had a great weekend!! Check in was super easy! The treehouse is fully furnished. The beds are comfy. The spiral staircase is super small for adults, but we managed. The inside of the treehouse was clean and comfy. The deck and grill seemed to have not been cleaned, but we cleaned it. We all enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets and floats provided. We cooked s'mores in the fire pit one night. We were sitting around the picnic tables when the water sprinkler came on and sprayed us with sewer water- that was NOT fun. We know it is treated, but still nasty and stinky! (Surely it could be aimed better than to start by spraying the side of a picnic table) It was nice to have the restrooms around the property- to not have to go up to treehouse when we were outside - and to shower off sewer water being sprayed on us- lol. We did not use the club house or hot tub, but they looked nice n clean. Overall, we had a great, relaxing weekend. We all enjoyed it and hope to return!

Had a great time Had a great time celebrating my wife’s birthday. My family and my brother-in-laws family. The Air conditioner in the bedroom did not work. After contacting customer service, an alleged repairman came, didn’t attempt to fix the problem, but gave us a box fan. Subsequent calls didn’t get anyone else out to get it fixed. The kitchen needs more dishes and bigger pots and pans.

Not what I expected Nice place but the creek is filthy everyone of my family members got pink eye and infection could be because there was a dead deer in the river but not what I expected. The main room was hot the air conditioner didn’t function correctly and the no noise rule is ridiculous. If you have a big family and want a place to enjoy yourself listen to music and clean family fun this is not the place. Could be that the majority of us were Mexican but I felt a lil disappointed over the noise situation and how it was handled by your employee.

Beautiful but we had some issues I booked this stay for Saturday and Sunday. The first day we got there, the rain was just clearing up. It wasn't too warm and the kids still got to enjoy the water. There were other people out there but it was a very peaceful scene. Lots of family and kid activities going on. We loved it. There were only a few paddle boards and canoes but the kids were able to find one with no issue. The scenery is beautiful. The accommodations were great for a treehouse, very clean (and I am a neat freak). The master bedroom and bathroom was much nicer than expected, like a hotel. The staircase to the lofe is VERY narrow, so please be careful. The treehouse seemed hollow though and even the smallest sounds were amplified. We could hear every word from our neighbors when they were out on the shared deck. Be prepared to stay up until they go to bed. The dog barking underneath made me a little restless. Which was okay because I was able to rest peacefully during the day while the kids had a blast! Needless to say when the horrific thunderstorm came Saturday night we were scared to death. We ended up checking out early because it was raining and storming so bad, the directv went out and we did not think we could enjoy the water if it eventually stopped. If i had a complaint it would be that it seemed the hammock (which i really wanted to take part in) was assigned to the cabin next to us, not ours and so was the charcoal grill. They do have community ones on the property though. Additionally, the water pressure was very low so showers took forever, but the water stayed hot and that is what we expected staying in a tree house:). Overall, it was great family fun, we loved watching our kids and other enjoy the resort from the deck, it was really nice. Next time we will request the other cabin instead so that I can curl into a hammock and use the other grill instead of the common area ones.

Prairie Flower review We have stayed at Geranimo Retreat several times and we’ve had really good experiences. We did have an issues with the water heater. Around 6am we were heard a sound coming from the closet. When we opened it the noise got louder and there was water coming out of the water heater. Our close got wet and we left because after googling what the issue may be we thought it wasn’t safe for our family. We contacted maintenance immediately, packed and left. We were looking forward to checking out till 11am so we can do some kayaking and swimming but it was cut short. I didn’t get a call from anyone afterwards on this issue.

Prairie Flower Cabin We had a great time but there were issues with the cleanliness of the place. The pillow covers and sheets were supposed to be white/cream color but where very grungy/almost dirt brown, it looked like they had not been washed. There was hair on the pillows when we arrived. The restroom had mold in the shower and smelled, the restroom rug was wet upon arrival. The hot tub looked like it needed to be cleaned, we did not get in it because the water was so murky. The AC in the game room did not cool the room down, it was too hot to enjoy. For the price of the rental I would expect them to be cleaned properly and the property kept up with.

Lots of surprises! These tree houses and this retreat have the potential to be a wonderful vacation. It is very relaxing up on the deck and in the trees. The tree houses could use a little cleaning in the main area. The rug was filthy and the kitchen needed wiping before it was clean enough to use. The biggest surprise of our trip was upon finding out they had rented the creek grounds out to about fifty people staying in tents. We were not aware that was even an option and we were told they ran an Easter promotion. As you can imagine, 50 extra people on a small piece of property was anything but relaxing. They were running around late at night under the tree houses and all the kayaks and boats were always occupied with all the additional guests. They had them shower off the game room and there were probably 25 towels hanging in the trees when we drove off from Sunday morning. It would caution you to check with management before coming to senif they opened up the property to tent camping. The manager and staff covering the phones acted like they had no idea why this was a problem. "I am unsure how this is going to affect your stay." The experience was disappointing because of all the additional guests. This has the potential to be a great vacation but the cleanliness and professionalism of the management need some work.

Absolutely AMAZING Our stay at Geronimo Creek's Prairie Flower was absolutely wonderful! This tree house was so fabulous!! It was extremely spacious and very clean. The spiral staircase gave it a boutique feel, but be aware that you may not fit on the stair case if you are plus sized :)This house came equipped with everything that you would need for a wonderful stay except for the fact that there is no tv upstairs and this is most likely where your kids would sleep. And also, the the television and box for the family room tv is so high up that you are unable to hook up any electronics like an xbox. My son pointed this out as soon as we walked in. I was forced to let him hook it up in my bedroom, which meant little quiet time for myself. Im glad that he did bring his xbox because our cable was out for just about our entire stay. The fact that my son brought his xbox did allow us to have some television. but with sooooo much to do on these premises, it did not spoil our stay. There was kayaking, tubing, volleyball, basketball, and a game room! There were plenty of firepits for smores and cooking. The grocery store was just down the street. This was a wonderful getaway!! The premises could benefit from a washer and dryer since water sports are available.

Prarie Flower Mostly a nice place, with a few issues. One of the air conditioner units made a loud, prolonged, irritating noise every few minutes while we had it on, requiring that we just shut it off. There was dirt/mud on the bathtub when we arrived. The floor in the bathroom, especially around the toilet, is sinking like it is about to cave in. This place is not really "out in nature," but just in a rural neighborhood. Not only do you share a deck with another party, all the properties are very close to one another, which is irritating if you are trying to escape civilization like we were. Plus everyone was smoking cigarettes except for us. Wifi did not work. Quite pricey for what you get, overall.

Probably will be much better after the repairs When we got to Prairie Flower, we noticed the floor directly in front of the toilet was almost completely rotted (sinking a couple of inches when I stepped on it). We called the property manager, and got moved the next day to another cabin they own in New Braunfels. When we were leaving, they were repairing the floor and removing the tub (replacing with a shower) in the other cabin on the property - apparently, the tubs overflow and the water gets in the floor. In addition, the floor throughout the cabin was quite dirty - our feet got black by the time we went to bed. It does not appear to get mopped regularly. Everything else seemed fine. The property itself is nice.
One note - it mentions the spiral staircase - it is very narrow - maybe 18 inches wide - and pretty steep. I'm 6'4" tall and had a difficult time going up and down (bumped my shoulder a couple of times), but our children had no issues.

The app that is required to download needs to be updated, advertised fishing was near by - GPS on the app took us to local residence houses - not available to the public. The creek was nasty water and if you try to kayak dont expect to go far, there are trees fallen over blocking the creek about 100 ft from the dock. Very good, could've been better This is a very good treehouse, no doubt about it, and we enjoyed the stay. There were a few unexpected hiccups I would like to highlight that I did not enjoy - specially when I paid top dollar for the stay.

1. There were stains on the bed sheets. When called, they were apologetic and replaced with fresh linens immediately. I still think the decorative pillows and quilts were looking too much used and I would rather not touch those.

2. At checkout, they asked me to remove all the linens myself and throw them on the floor? Really? I get the part about the dishes, but me helping you out with changing the bedsheets?

Just a word of caution of anyone who wants to bring a toddler or even a 3-4 year old to the play area. I notice a lot of animal poop looking things all over the grass, and the play area is not super clean. The toddler will definitely not be able to climb the ladder (there are no steps), so mostly you'll end up either constantly helping them or keeping them in the room.

We stayed 3 nights and spent one day at Schlitterbahn, one day tubing the Guadalupe and then a day at Son's Island. We highly recommend it and it would actually be a great place for a family reunion. There are air conditioned tipis located just next door as well so your family could spread out a little bit if you want.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at Geronimo Creek. Kids and grandkids had a blast. The hot tub could use some updating. the fans at the club house were not in good working order. We did Love the cabins and the creek.

We had a wonderful time at Geronimo Creek, celebrating my Dad's birthday. He is in his 60's and loved the relaxing time kayaking with his grandson. peaceful outdoor setting. Loved waking up and fishing first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee. My mother caught a catfish!

We really enjoyed our stay. The fact that kayaks and paddle boards and life jackets were provided made packing easy. There were no directions provided for wifi and tv, so if that could be added it would be better for visitors. Overall, we would go back in a heartbeat.

The not great: The creek doesn't really go anywhere, so don't expect to see much on the one kayak and one SUP they provide for everyone person staying on-site. The stairs to the second floor are TINY, expect to get a few bruises when using them. They say the couch pulls out, but it doesn't. The hot tub is warm and smells like bleach. The rope swings into the water need to get fixed (one is too short to use).

The great: Nice getaway. We were lucky and had awesome neighbors. Everyone was very nice and easy going. They have floaties in a shed (which is awesome), but I recommend bringing an inflation device (or really strong lungs) to blow them up.

Pack: a sponge, a can opener, a bottle opener

Our 11 and 13 yr old boys were outside sunup to sundown. They met about 10 other kids staying here and enjoyed the Paddleboats, paddle boards, kayaks, and best of all, the rope swings! Add in delicious meals made on their grills and s'mores on a campfire every night and it was a perfect recipe for a fantastic spring break. Accommodations were great and close to Gruene and New Braunfels for a dinner out one night.

Loved the cabin. The rooms were clean and well maintained as well as all the appliances and features. The creek was clean and constantly filtered for the most enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend for family and friends as well as a return visit.

The Geronimo creek retreat was a great family orientated place to stay. There was plenty to do for the day we stayed. The weather was great for fishing, canoeing and paddle which all these things were provided. My family and I had a great time and would have like to stay another night but it was booked. I would highly recommend this place.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the treehouse. On the website, it said the couch was a pull out couch and it ended up not being one. One of our party had to sleep on the floor, because the roll away bed they provided was so uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was nice.

My family and I stayed at the Cabin to celebrate my son's birthday. The cabin was nice and everyone had a good time. The spiral staircase to the upstairs loft was very narrow and probably suited better for children and not adults. The creek was a lot smaller than what we had in mind. The fire pit was nice at night and is very close to the rec. area so you can keep a close eye on the kids.

By far my most favorite place in Texas! Ive spent my last two birthdays here and I love it, I wish I could live here, the treehouses are amazing! You literally only need to bring your clothes, there is an HEB very close to get your food, and they literally have everything else there you could imagine... I had a blast exploring the creek on the kayaks, fishing is GREAT,I caught some huge catfish in the creek along w an abundance of crappie...The rope swings are a blast! The property is well kept and gorgeous! New braunsfels and gruene are only about 15-20 minutes away too! I cant wait until next yr! Im actually considering going again in the winter, would be so much fun to sit around the big fire pits :)
I highly recommend this place,I've referred many friends and theyve LOVED it,cant wait to go back!

The place was hard to find, no Office only an app to check-in, the game room was a joke. It has a ping pong table- no paddle or balls, has a dart board- no dart, nasty fridge and the cable was not working. The cabin itself was as advertised, nice, clean and well shaded. The app that is required to download needs to be updated, advertised fishing was near by - GPS on the app took us to local residence houses - not available to the public. The creek was nasty water and if you try to kayak dont expect to go far, there are trees fallen over blocking the creek about 100 ft from the dock. Not maintained on the outside or the app. If you just want a get away then yes this the place but not for the price and not for amenities.

This is a very good treehouse, no doubt about it, and we enjoyed the stay.

The tree house we stayed in was Fabulous! It had such a great view of the creek and perfect amount of shade for the hot Texas sun! We sat outside every morning and had coffee overlooking the gorgeous scenery. The creek was perfect for the kids to play in, and the water was great for floating! The kayaks & stand up paddle boards were a big plus too. This is an Awesome family get away!!!

When we got to Prairie Flower, we noticed the floor directly in front of the toilet was almost completely rotted (sinking a couple of inches when I stepped on it).

Overall our vacation was so much fun and we had a great time. Our only complaint was the floor in the bathroom. The floor had severe water damage and was VERY soft. It made us all a little apprehensive.

Mostly a nice place, with a few issues.
