Amazing Relaxing Will Return My two sisters, their husbands, my husband and I wanted to do something different. So, we traveled to Seguin to stay in teepees. They were clean and very spacious. Bonus they have an air conditioner. Our outside area had lots of seating around a fire pit which we used every evening. The property is not huge but is beautiful. We had fun canoeing, kayaking, walking around and spent time in the Game Room! Fooze Ball brought us back to the good ole days. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Amber, Sarah and Tate. We even found a great restaurant nearby called Grain Bin Cafe Store, Restaurant and Beer Garden. Great outdoor play area for kids, too. I highly recommend this as your next get away.

Great! Except for the dirty sheets when we got there. We had a great stay. When we first arrived however, one of the beds was turned down, unmade & had dirt in the sheets. We found someone helping another teepee and she had the sheets changed for us, but that night when we turned down the other two beds, they were dirty as well.
Overall, we had a great time. The scenery is beautiful, the kayaks and paddle boards are a blast. Not impressed! Website gives the feel that the property is large, so we expected open space, possibly nature trails. The entire area from end to end was less than 2 football fields. The teepees and cabins/treehouses are about 6-10’ apart, so no privacy. The “Stock pond” in front of the teepees has a few turtles, snakes and 2 orange coy fish, so NO FISHING and It had a broken fountain, that I’m sure is supposed to keep the water moving, therefore the water was still and did not require the sign that warned about swimming at your own risk. NO ONE WOULD SWIM IN THAT! The kayaks and paddle boards are first come-first served, and are left wherever the last person decided to ditch them - 1/2 were down at the creek’s dead-end. The game room was closed, no problem, due to COVID. At first touch of the teepee door, the knob fell off and did so every time after. The teepee was not clean, and by no means sanitized for COVID. Found loose pretzels at foot of 1 bed and a marshmallow, balloon and dental pick behind the CLOTH couch that screamed, “GERMS!” Along with the cow-hide rug... The teepee was rented as “3 queen beds”, while there were 2 - the 3rd was a full mattress in a queen frame. Try sleeping 2 adults on a full bed! The size of the refrigerator was known, but it didn’t appear to have ever been defrosted, as the freezer was a complete block of ice. The bathroom apparently has no veneration and the wall a/c that runs only when you enter did not keep it from being stifling hot and musty. Also, only 4 towels for 6 people. The kitchen was not appropriately ready for 6 guests, having only 3 spoons, 3 forks, 1 knife, 1 small frying pan and 1 medium sized pot. The floor of the bbq was rusted out and it’s grill was laying on the ground, making it unusable. Overall, a disappointment, ended up spending our time in town at the zoo and park. Way overpriced for an unkept facility.

Great Family Fun We loved our stay at Geronimo Creek. We enjoyed our TiPi experience. They are nice and roomy and a nice change from a motel room. Enjoyed cooking out and relaxing around the pond in the evenings. It's a great environment to relax. My only complaint was that the rules say no pets and some campers had dogs left unattended in there cabins and sometimes the barking was annoying while we were trying to relax in the evenings.

Cute Getaway for our Family Perfect for local camping getaway. We enjoyed that the property was small and not to crowded. The kids had a blast. We did notice that only the sheets were changed and washed prior to our visit and not the bed comforters. There wasn't anyone to contact about that so we luckily brought our own blankets and just slept on the sheets.

Unclean and Roaches! I would not recommend staying here. My family previously stayed at the tree houses which they loved and figured we would try out the teepees. Immediately upon entrance my 8 year old was disgusted and rated it a half a star. We didn’t even stay the night and left within a few hours because of the uncleanliness and roaches crawling around. The counters had coffee grinds and residue all over them.

Fishing Trip with Grandson It was nice. Only problem our teepee did not have a picnic table, so we could not eat outside. Our bathroom lock quit working and at 2 AM in the morning I had to walk on the the other side ito use the restroom by game room. Also they should consider putting an ice machine on the premises. We had to leave several times to buy ice for ice chest.

Our Trip We had a great time and we will be back for sure. I thought I made a mistake choosing a TeePee over the treehouse tents because it wasn't right in front of the creek, I didn't realize all of the photos of kids swimming was the creek and not the pond. The pond wasn't swimmable in my opinion but that was not an issue, we just used it for fishing and we definitely caught some surprisingly big fish. The TeePees were a little more quiet and private than the treehouse tents. I would rather have my own personal shower and be out of the loud gathering area than be closer to the creek. The community showers for the "tents" weren't the cleanest because so many people are using them so it was filled with a lot of dirt and grass. So I was happy we chose the Teepee, next time I will book the actual cabins that face the creek. TeePee #2 was very spacious and had everything we needed, We even brought our huge cooler and didn't end up needing it. They had memory foam mattresses and it stayed very cold inside. It got too cold several times but that is never a complaint. We had access to the kayaks and paddle boards the entire time, there were plenty of oars and paddles to use. They had a ton of life jackets, noodles and floats accessible. At night the treehouse tent and club house area is very well lit with tons of white Christmas lights. The TeePee area was some what well lit. The light above our walk way to the bathroom and above our bathroom door was out so you couldn't see anything without a flashlight which again isn't an issue just don't forget flashlights.
I would suggest bringing fishing poles, flash lights, firewood, charcoal for the grill

Loved it!! My kids were super excited to stay in a Teepee! Had everything needed for a camping experience and the things to do were wonderful! We would definitely go back!
The one pitfall, it is camping, so I understand that it will not be a resort hotel experience, but I do think that the teepees need to be mopped and the drawers holding the dishes cleaned out. I just washed the dishes before using them, but for the price, a deep clean would go a long way. Loved the private bathroom access with the teepee.

Not what we expected Overall stay wasn’t terrible. But it wasn’t that great. The floor in our tipi is caving in. We were really excited about the hot tub. Which there is only one for the whole place and it’s small. We didn’t get to use it which is a huge reason we went. We tried too before we left but we couldn’t get it hot and there were no instructions to turn on the heat or bubbles. The website says there is fire wood. There was not. The tv only gets infomercials. Which sucked. It just wasn’t what we expected and we were kinda bummed out. It was okay The stay was nice and all of the amenities provided were amazing. As someone who works in retail though I feel like the associates should be trained to all be on the same page. When I booked my reservation I was told twice I could call for early check in and that I only needed to call the day of. We live 4 hours away and when I called the day of they said we could not. But I know the calls are recorded so I really think you shouldve gone back and listened to them, it's bad service to have 2 associates saying one thing and then on the day of tell me we cant after we were half way there and had been in the car for 2 hours. I felt like that was really unfair because when you wanted me to book its it felt like you told me whatever I wanted to hear but once you got my money you didnt care. The teepee was beautiful and the amenities were nice. Even the people that welcomed us weren't very nice and when we needed something for our room she said she was an hour away and couldn't help us. The stay was great but the service was not. It's a bummer because I would really like to go back but I'm not so sure I will I didn't feel welcomed by staff at all. We went for a bachelorette trip so I was really hoping it would feel welcoming and positive, but upon arriving it didnt feel that way at all. This resort had the potential to be 10/10 but bad customer service goes a long way. The property was beautiful, I loved that the kayaks and paddle boards were provided! Great Stay! Our family loved Tipi 2. It was clean, cosy, and perfect for our family of 6! We loved how low-key the entire trip was. Our first outing, we had difficulty with locking the Tipi but we contacted Geronimo Creek and the maintenance came directly out and replaced the lock. The kitchen is small but totally workable and we had no difficulty cooking in it. Our kids loved swimming and the game room and we loved that there was nothing else on the property that we had to pay for! It was truly a great experience. The one thing we didn't prefer was the pond directly outside of our Tipi had a very large amount of algae--so much so that you could barely see the water but on our second day there we saw a company come and inspect it to clean the water so I'm assuming that is not an issue any more. Overall, we loved it and can't wait to go back!

Disappointed Our teepee waa great looking and easy to reach. I did however have an issue with the smell of it. It seemed as if it had not been used in a while. I understand it that its cabinlike buy maybe a plug in with some fresh scents would work wonders. Also, the pond in front of the teepees was disgusting. It was plagued with algae or something bright green. It was not dimmable. It was such a shame. Also, our site was full of breadcrumbs for the loitering cats. I am so glad I didn't have an allergic reaction- cats=No bueno. The teepee was clean and looked Amazon from inside. The remaining part if the resort was ok. I was disappointed when we got there as well due to the lack of kayaks and paddleboards. I was told by one of the customer reps for the site, that there would be some available. We get there and find out there's maybe like 7 kayaks and 2 paddleboards at the most for the entire resort. So not doable. Maybe with the amount paid for each night, it should be considered to buy at least 3 or 4 per teepee or house. It's not that expensive wholesale and your still making money. Just a suggestion. Our stay was overshadowed by rain the whole 2 days so we left after the 1st day.

So So Stay We have visited Son's Island before and were hoping the water access at Geronimo Creek would be as good. It's not the Hilton! A few issues that we had to overcome but the owners certainly try hard - have to give them credit for that. I would describe this property as a Private Campground, just a small step up from a public camping facility but far below even the least desirable 'resort' facility. The DVD and Coffee Maker did not work and the Tipi had a very musty smell. The hot tub was dirty, the gameroom was used and worn, etc.
HOWEVER - the close proximity of the camps allowed us to make some good friends and after lowering our expectations, we had a WONDERFUL time. Would recommend this place for a Family Reunion - very quaint.

Camping not glamping You would think you're glamping with an air conditioned structure and a full bathroom, but definitely still felt like camping. Not complaining, just know what you're in for. Teepee smelled, sheets smelled. Hot tub was nasty. Game room was decrepit. Volleyballs and basketballs weren't pumped up. And yet we're already planning our next trip, because we had a blast. There's lots to do for the kids and it's great to have your own space. Just don't expect it to be luxurious.

The restrooms were immediately behind our tipi and were well lit even at 3 am. I felt safe at all times. The bathroom was very nice and the water pressure was intense. I had a difficult time getting the right temperature of water for my shower, but it was the only negative of the place and wasn't that bad. The grounds were the highlight of the stay. The kids enjoyed the games room which had many games available to play. The bathroom was a short walk from our room. Unfortunately the bathroom also had a musty smell and was in need of an upgrade. Rotting wood and mould. The shower head was horrible. Such a beautiful property and fun concept that could be improved with a few touches. Add some nice toiletries to the bathroom to give it more of a luxury feel and get rid of the mouldy old soap that was left on there. Overall, we are glad we stayed but feel our stay would have been a lot more enjoyable if thd above mentioned was fixed. Easy check in with clear email instructions.

Happy Camper I read negative reviewss online and was a bit nervous. However, I like to be the judge for myself. Yes, many of those are true but they had taken those concern into consideration and had care of most of it. This means a lot to me, because they care. Yes, it has a lite musty smell and the bedding feels a 5% damp, but very clean cause I can smell the Clorox. But we're camping, it's actually luxury camping. Truly a retreat, very quite, feel peaceful, birds chirping. My only complaint was the stove take 45 mins to heat a 3 cup of water, and instead of a convection oven they should put in a microwave.

Great Way to Get Away Although I wouldn't necessary call this a getaway destination, since it's still incredibly close to main roads, it was still a very peaceful and quiet place to spend with some loved ones. Although it seemed like the people around us, used it more as a hotel, it was the destination for my friends and I. We spent the whole day there, and were never bored. Although I wish the weather was a little better, we all had a great time. Only thing to be wary of is that they send all of the information to you through an app on your phone, so be sure to download the app beforehand, as there is very limited service in the area. Also, they say they have wi-fi, but none of my group was ever able to connect to it throughout the time, but that wasn't a deal breaker for us since we were doing other stuff throughout the day. ALso, this may be nit-picking, but nobody turned over the canoes before we got there, so they were flooded and we were unable to use them. Kind of a bummer. But I honestly had a great time with all my family and friends as we were able to just enjoy each other's company with good food and good drinks in a very calming environment. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing first stay in a Tipi While this may not be really roughing it in true tipi style, I absolutely loved our stay here. The entire family had a great time and there was something for everyone. While you are definitely out in the country, it is still relatively close to town. The Tipi itself was big enough for our group; we had 3 queen beds and a sofa that is a pull out sofa. While we did not use the pull out, if you need to you will need to bring your own sheets and pillows. A/C worked perfectly and kept the room nice and cool. The mini kitchenette was stocked with plates, cups and utensils. They do provide hot plate burner and a convection oven. The hot plate burner took a while to heat up, however the oven worked perfectly.

You are provided with your own private bathroom that is stocked with TP, Towels and washcloths. There is also a mini closet to store your toiletries. The outside of our tipi had two picnic tables, a set of patio furniture surrounding a fire pit and your own BBQ pit. The tipis are as pictured and do surround a pond, but further down on the property is a creek. They provide kayaks, paddle boat and there are two swings you can swing from into the water. There is also a game room for the kids and additional restrooms (communal) in this area.

My only cons would be a few items that we had issues with, but for the most part can be fixable. The first night it rained really hard and water leaked into the tipi from the window. I emailed staff and they responded that they would send someone out, but we never saw anyone stop by the next day or during our stay. Luckily it didn’t rain after the first night. Our coffee pot did not work properly and we did find one insect inside our tipi.

Tips: bring insect and/or bee spray. They tend to hang out around the front of the door when we would bbq. Bring ice and ice chests as the mini-fridge is way too small.
There is a nice Rec Room with couches and a tv and DVD player, as well as a ping pong table so we were able to hang out in there while it was raining. A nice little hot tub adjoins the rec room. This was a nice getaway, no fuss, no frills. Tipi Stay Overall we enjoyed our stay at Geronimo Creek. The tipi itself was comfortable and stayed cool. However, it was not at all noise-proof, and we were kept awake for hours by the frogs in the fishing pond that is right outside the tipi. We couldn't believe how loud they were! The bathrooms are close by and clean, though small. The rest of the property was just okay. There was some trash in different outdoor areas. The game room was not clean and the hot tub was very small. The pedal boat at the dock was broken, although the kayaks and stand-up paddle boards were fine. It was difficult to use the rope swing. None of these issues were a major problem, but I felt that the price per night for the tipi should have been lower to reflect the condition of the property. The property management company was great about replying to my questions. We did not encounter any employees during our actual stay at Geronimo Creek. My family did enjoy our time in the water, playing outside, using the fire pit to make s'mores, and sleeping in the tipi.

If you like to camp, you will love this. Our family of 5 stayed 3 nights. The accommodations were nice and it's located near New Braunfels and Gruene, TX. My girls loved swimming, paddling and rope swinging in the creek and made friends with other guests. Access to a private bathroom and having air conditioning in the tipi made this camping trip more enjoyable and comfortable than traditional camping. My oldest daughter, who had voted for the treehouse, was pleasantly surprised and didn't want to leave.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Geronimo Creek. My family did enjoy our time in the water, playing outside, using the fire pit to make s'mores, and slee

What can I say about Geronimo Creek? Everything was absolutely beautiful and looked exactly like it was in the pictures. My fiancé and I booked a tipi in hopes to look at the entire property, as it was a main candidate for our wedding venue. Between Patrick and Aaron helping us out with our stay, they made it perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better trip. We stayed in tipi 2 and were blown away by how beautiful and large the interior and exterior of the tipi were. Needless to say, within a couple of days of leaving Geronimo Creek, we called them back and booked it as the venue of our small wedding! Thanks again Patrick and Aaron!

We recently stayed in the Tepees at Geronimo Creek. My family of six had a great time fishing, paddle boarding and canoeing. My boys loved the rope swing! The weather was not very cooperative on our second day/night so we were not able to enjoy the property to its fullest. There is a nice Rec Room with couches and a tv and DVD player, as well as a ping pong table so we were able to hang out in there while it was raining. A nice little hot tub adjoins the rec room. This was a nice getaway, no fuss, no frills. I suggest you bring your own wood for a campfire as it is not provided, but we managed to scrape up enough small stuff around the property that we could roast marshmallows our first night.

While this may not be really roughing it in true tipi style, I absolutely loved our stay here.

Although I wouldn't necessary call this a getaway destination, since it's still incredibly close to main roads, it was still a very peaceful and quiet place to spend with some loved ones. But I honestly had a great time with all my family

I read negative reviewss online and was a bit nervous.

We were really excited about our stay in the tipis, and loved that it was so spacious. Our remote was not working well and our room was stuck at 80 when we got there. We did have a maintanance man come over and check things out, he fixed the remote and temp, but unfortunately the air only trickled out and the fan in front of the vent circulated only the tiny amount of cold air coming from the vent. Even turning the AC down to 70, did not cool off the room. ( you can not turn the air below 70 or it will freeze up per the owner instructions)
We were told they had brand new units they hadn't put in yet and that we could get ours possibly replaced if it didn't cool down. We left for a few hours came back after dinner. Still hot. After being out of our room so much trying to wait for our room to cool down we did not want to be outside or have to leave again so they could change it out. It was a long hot night. We had a very nice time at the Tipis at Geronimo Creek! Even when it rained 11 inches Saturday night, we were comfortable, listening to the rain on the tipi! Grill was in good condition, bathroom were in excellent condition, there was very little wood onsite for fires in the fire pit, but both nearby Buccees sell wood to burn. The fishing pond was just outside our front door and loaded with catch and release fish, and the river was a short walk away. It was very exciting to see how much the river had risen overnight with the storms, and the road was closed on both sides, but we were able to find a way out! :) A great stay! A fun way to camp!
