The below review scared us a little, but our experience was pretty positive overall. The condo has a great layout and we had open communication with the owner the whole time. He even allowed us a late check out upon request.

The cleaning demands were a little excessive in our opinion, because there is already a $290 fee for cleaning included in the stay. However, when everyone helped out it did not take too long. The WiFi was definitely sketchy, but its a ski condo and somehow we survived. Full deposit was returned within a day.

While the place is nice and the other reviews are good,
the owner is a horrible pain to deal with. Here is how he gets you:

The owner takes an excessive cleaning fee ($260) and damage
deposit ($1000). This is not market and most similar places
charge way less.

The place is 2,400sf with lots of stairs and is a pain to clean.
However, the owner expects the following:
-sweep, vacuum, and mop the floor
-clean the kitchen
-wash and put away all dishes
-remove and bring on linens/towels etc to laundry room
-remove all garbage and recycling off premises to the dump

This takes HOURS for such a big place and check could be as early as 10am.
Other places may require same cleaning but would charge a lower cleaning fee.

If the owners expectations are not met, he will deduct from your
high damage deposit any broken items (made up or not), additional cleaning charges
he may incur from the cleaning company (eg: $50 for left over milk carton),
and get this... HIS TIME/FUEL for going to Kelowna or wherever to
get replacement parts (amount at his discretion obviously).

Other issues we had was internet connection was horrible the whole 5 days
we were there. Couldn't even open or send simple emails. Owner simply told
us to reboot the router, which let nowhere. Also, the house was not well
stocked. On the 3rd day we ran out of simple things like toilet paper, salt, etc.

We could have solved all these issues if the owner was not a total pain to deal
with. Very stubborn, uncompromising, and adamant on his ideas on what's fair,
he would not relent to any compromises we offered. And the worst thing is there
is NOTHING YOU CAN DO except watch your damage deposit helplessly deteriorate.

So do yourself a favor, stay somewhere else, and avoid a headache.

This is a fantastic unit. The location couldn't be better for skiing. The rental is gorgeous and we would rent it again in a heart beat. The owner was a wonderful man to deal with. I appreciate your kindness, Our family had a wonderful time. Thank you!

This condo had everything we needed to have a great time up at Big White. We were a group of 12 (5 children). The loft was a perfect place for the kids to hang out, play and watch a movie. We will definitely be back.
