Peaceful, Quiet and Great Views My seven year old grandson, his Dad and I stayed at this location for 6 days!! It was an awesome location. One afternoon a momma moose and baby were visible as they ran by and one morning while eating breakfast my grandson spotted another moose with two babies...few minutes later he spotted a bull moose!!! We also had foxes in the area, it couldn't have been more perfect and the excitement from my grandson was priceless!!!! Quiet location with exceptional views. Response from Wildernest Vacation Rentals; Friday, August 31, 2018 Nancy, we love Watch Hill and all the wildlife you can see! We are glad you did too. Thank you for your review.

Quiet, peaceful, charming We were delighted from the moment we stepped in the door. Windows overlooking the forest and far away to Ten-Mile Range were delightful. Fox cavorting early in the morning were entertaining. Wonderful to have sturdy hangers in the closets, well-equipped and well-organized kitchen, and clean, clean, clean! Our only disappointment was the bed that's lumpy and uncomfortable. Response from Wildernest Vacation Rentals; Wednesday, May 9, 2018 Hello Margaret, thank you for taking time to review your stay at Watch Hill 216. The location of this unit makes watching wildlife from the back porch so convenient. Regarding the bed; The bed is firmer than some care for so the topper was added for those that prefer a softer bed. We appreciate the feedback and the owners will be bringing a new gel infused memory foam topper to replace the down filled topper that might be the cause of the lumpiness. The new topper should be in the unit for guest use by 5/20.

Great corner unit with views! The unit was the perfect size for one person (me) and offered the great views of the natural area, willows, evergreens out of all the windows. The only disappointing thing was no designated recycling basket/can in the unit. I have rented at Watch Hill and from Wildernest for over 30 years, and will always consider them when booking in Summit County!

Wildernest Watch Hill 216 Condo The condo was very clean and comfortable for two of us. The BR was almost completely "consumed" by the king bed. Was fine for our needs, but if we had others sharing the unit and had not been able to use the living room for storing extra ski clothing, my opinion might not be as positive. Our only other complaint was the wooden steps coming down from the parking lot. We had no mishaps, but they are relatively steep, hold snow and left us with and uneasy feeling every time we entered or exited. They seem like a poor choice of material for a ski lodge. Perhaps a "grate" type material that allows snow and ice to melt through would be a better choice.

Watch Hill Wildernest has always been good to us. We visit multiple times per year for weekend getaways. Although, not the fault of Wildernest, the boiler went out in our unit, we came back from hiking to discover maintenance personnel in our unit. We were never called or contacted by prop mgmt and that was a bit frustrating. We were without hot water until 9 pm on this Saturday. We will visit again of course but some concession or discount for our next stay would have been a nice offer or gesture.

Two day mountain retreat A great mountain getaway. Very comfortable and super views from the living areas. It rained one afternoon while we were there for the two days but that was good news for us Colorado residents since the fire danger is high this summer. It helped the firefighters at the peak to fire near Frisco which is about 25 miles away. We will return.

Problems first, better later Watch Hill 216 was not a good fit for us. The wireless did not connect at all, which was huge. Also, there was a towel and trash in the garbage disposal, which I had to dig out. I complained to the staff, and Jen took care of me very well. We changed to a different unit, which solved all our problems. The other unit was larger and had great wireless. I appreciated the way Jen took care of us. Even though our second unit in Gore Trail was rated a "gold" unit, it really wasn't that much better than Watch Hill, only larger.
So although I cannot recommend Watch Hill, I could recommend Gore Trail, and Jen.

Main Issue The condo was in pretty good repair but we did find hairs on bedspread and pillows so you knowno one really likes that. My MAIN ISSUE was the reason I picked this property was I was told it had a hot tub. I was going to pick a property that had a clubhouse and pool but I fiquired that a hot tub would do. I was able to use it the first night but only 1/2 of the jets worked. The next evening I went to use it and it WAS CLOSED for repairs so I fiqured I could use the other buildings hot tub, after all they are the same complex right? Wrong, I didnt have a key into the other buildings hot tub room. This is wrong as I should have had access to EITHER of the hot tubs on propety just in cases of this where 1 isnt working you can use the other one. I was pretty unhappy about this but since it was after 2 pm saturday I couldnt complain. I was going to call on sunday but we went out and didnt get back until 5 or so so I couldnt complain then either. Not happy about this so I wont be staying in the watch hill complex again. Response from Wildernest Vacation Rentals; Monday, August 8, 2011 We apologize for the inconvenience with the hot tub. There is only one building for the hot tub in the Watch Hill complex, that is why your key did not work in the other, because it was for another complex. With the cleanliness of the pillows, we do take these matters very seriously and I will let you know, that housekeeping was already informed and we will take action on this issue ASAP. All of this issues will be fixed and we hope that you will stay with us again.

We were told that the furniture had just been replaced and it was not only very nice looking, but very comfortable, and the king size bed was also very comfortable. The unit was well stocked. The best part was that it backs to wilderness behind it and there is a little water hole that can be seen from the unit and the deck and one morning we saw a momma moose and her baby drinking there. There were also hummingbirds and we saw a red headed woodpecker busily looking for insects on a tree right beside the deck. I would definitely stay in this unit again. The only drawback was that there were alot of stairs to drag our suitcases down and up, so if stairs are an issue for you this is not the place you would want.

The condo was very clean and comfortable for two of us.

I loved that it was an end unit and had great unobstructed views We also used the hot tub, which was clean and hot! I would definitely recommend this property to a couple for a nice getaway!

Really liked this little place. Very good location, and the Living Social offer sealed the deal. The owner just needs to fix the fan in the bedroom (makes a little noise)and the bed could use a different mattress topper. Quiet balcony great for relaxing and enjoying the view.

Condo was around 9700 ft. up so even in the middle of July it was cool. Opened the door at night and flipped the switch to turn on the gas fireplace. Corner unit with huge windows. Beautiful views off mountains and forest. Loved the balcony. Hope to return next summer!

My husband and I just wanted a quiet place to unwind for a few days and this this unit was perfect for us. It is small but fine for 2 people.

Nice condo and we were happy with our stay. The kitchen needs two new frying pans! The washer right outside the condo didn't work :-(

We bought 2 nights with the living special deal. You never know what your going to get. We really didn't expect much. When we got there, the towm was so cute and our "little apartment" was even better! So cozy and cute. Thing were newer and spotless and we had a great view. This was an amazing trip and worth every penny!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. There was a beautiful view of the mountains. Located near many hiking trails. It was very quiet and peaceful. The unit appeared to be recently renovated. We would definitely stay here again!

The Wilderness office people are very easy to work with. I always enjoy renting with them, and appreciate their assistance and the specials. The specials made my trip possible this past week. I plan on renting with them again.

Watch Hill 216 was not a good fit for us.

Nice condo and beautiful location. Bed is firm. Unit needed hot pads. Towel from previous tenant left on back of bedroom door and it looked like the unit needed a better vacuum job and dusting. Loved seeing the wildlife off the deck! Very "welcoming" unit.
